HAVE WE ENCOURAGED
HIM
“So the carpenter encouraged the goldsmith, and he that smootheth
with the hammer him that smote the anvil, saying, It is ready for the sodering:
and he fastened it with nails, that it should not be moved.”
Isaiah
41:7 KJV
We
are to encourage one another but we also need to encourage Jesus. Have we encouraged Him? Jesus has feelings or He wouldn’t weep when
we are sad and hurting. It breaks His
heart when we say things and do things that hurt someone. Jesus has told us how we are kind or unkind
to Him.
“And
the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye
have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto
me” (Matthew 25:40). How it must hurt
Him when He hears people cursing and sees all the violence in the world. It is time we start encouraging Jesus.
When
Jesus sees and hears a child being mistreated, it not only hurts Him, it also makes
Him angry. “But when Jesus saw it, he
was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come
unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God” (Mark 10:14).
Have
we encouraged Jesus today by spending time with Him and doing and saying things
that make Him happy? If ever someone deserves
to be happy, it is Jesus, the Saviour of the world. All hail, King Jesus! Worthy is the Lamb of God! O how I love Jesus. He is the Joy of my heart.
