 YES HE DOES

"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

John 10:10
King James Version

Someone made the comment "Jesus doesn't love me or care about me". I submit to you on the authority of the Word of God that Jesus does care about us. If He doesn't care, He would never have allowed them to crucify Him. Thank You, Jesus, for loving us and for caring. I love You, precious Saviour.

 A MANSION OF LOVE

"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."

John 14:2, 3
King James Version

Sometimes we see pictures of mansions that someone has built but there is only one mansion that is a mansion of love and our loving Saviour has decorated it for us.

Not only do we have a mansion waiting for us, we will be with Jesus forever and there will ne more crying, sickness or death. Are you shouting with happiness yet?

Please join me in praising the "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS". Worthy is the Lamb of God! All hail, King Jesus! I love You, Jesus, and one day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.

Carrie E. Breck wrote a beautiful heart touching hymn about our loving Saviour "FACE TO FACE WITH CHRIST, MY SAVIOR". I love the words in this hymn and I'm so glad I will see Jesus face to face.

"What rejoicing in His presence, When are banished grief and pain; When the crooked ways are straightened, And the dark things shall be plain." If you are reading this devotion, know that Jesus loves you and He will always love you.

There is nothing you could do to make Him stop loving you. He loved you yesterday. He loves you today and He will love you forever. \Allow His love for you to go from head knowledge to heart knowledge. He loves you, He loves you, He loves you and you are precious to Him. He loves you so much He died for you.

 I CRIED

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."

Genesis 1:1
King James Version

When I read this verse the other day, I cried because we have hurt our Heavenly Father because of the things we have done to this world. God made it a place of beauty and happiness but we have made it into a place filled with violence, hatred and all other things that hurt Him.

May God forgive us for hurting Him because of the things we have done. Let's start being an encouragement to one another. It will make our Saviour happy. Making Jesus happy should be the desire of our heart.

 DON'T BE AFRAID

"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."

Isaiah 41:10
King James Version

There has probably been times in all of our lives when things happened and we needed help. Our Heavenly Father has promised us that He will help us. Not only does He help us, He also loves us unconditionally.

Pastor Elisha A. Hoffman wrote one of my favorite hymns "LEANING ON THE EVERLASTING ARMS". I love the words in this inspiring hymn.

"What have I to dread? What have I to fear? Leaning on the everlasting arms; I have blessèd peace With my Lord so near, Leaning on the everlasting arms."

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving us and for taking care of us. It is a privilege to be part of the family of God. Thank You for the many times You have comforted and encouraged me.

What a healing balm it is to our weary battle scarred heart to know You will never hit us or kick us out of Heaven. Thank You for making a way for us to be saved and go to Heaven through the cleansing blood of our Saviour. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 THE LIGHT OF LOVE

"Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."

John 8:12
King James Version

Jesus is the light of love in our heart. When people say cruel words to us and do things that hurt us, Jesus shines His light a little brigher to comfort and encourage us. Thank You, Jesus, for caring and for loving us unconditionally. I love You and I long for the day when I will see You face to face.

 ALWAYS

"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

John 10:10
King James Version

Hurricane season will be here in a couple of months but we have a hurricane season that is always with us and we don't have any warning.

Have you ever had a day when everything is going wonderful and all of a sudden, without any warning at all, someone says something cruel or dose something cruel to you? That is satan trying his best to discourage us from serving Jesus.

We must not that happen. We must stay on the battlefield for Jesus just as He stayed on the cross for us. Nothing would make satan any happier than if we stop serving Jesus.

Heavenly Father, I pray for all who are lonely and discouraged. Please comfort and encourage them as You have done for me so many times.

I pray for every man, every woman, every boy and every girl who has never given their heart and life to Jesus. May today be the day they invite Jesus into their heart. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 A NEW DAY

"She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more."

John 8:11
King James Version

Jesus loves us and He doesn't condemn us when we sin. If you are reading this, it is a new day we have to serve Him. Don't let satan lie to you and tell you Jesus doesn't love you or forgive you.

We have a loving Saviour Who loves us so much He died for you. Forget about yesterday and serve Jesus today. If you're not serving Him, why aren't you? Jesus left His Fahter, His home and all that He had to come to earth and die for you.

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving us so much You gave Your beloved Son to die on the cross for our sins so we can go to Heaven when we die. I pray for all who are lonely and hurting. Please comfort and encourage them as You have done for me so many times. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 NOTHING

"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Romans 8:38, 39
King James Version

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving us even when we fail You and hurt You. Please forgive me for the times that I hurt You. I'm sorry because I never want to hurt You and yet I know that I do.

Thank You for the assurance that nothing can separate us from the unconditional love You have for us. I pray for all who are hurting. Please comfort them as You have done for me so many times. I love You, Heavenly Father. I love You, Jesus. I love You, Holy Spirit. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 THE REASON

"This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you."

John 15:12
King James Version

I watch Judge Judy and it's almost the same cases, just with different people. What is the reason why all these people turn against one another and many of them get divorced and some even hit one another? It is because we do not love one another as Jesus has commanded us to love each other.

How can we expect our children to be kind and loving to one another if they don't see us and hear us be kind and loving? It reminds me of what one of my pastors said in a sermon talking about a young boy.

The boy said to his parents "You go to church, you sing in the choir, you teach Sunday school but when you come home you criticize the pastor and the sermon. If that is what a Christian is, I don't want any part of it."

May God help us to live our lives so that all will see and hear Jesus in our words and in our actions. It is time we stop hurting Jesus and start making Him happy. If ever someone deserves to be happy, it is Jesus, the Saviour of the world. I love You, Jesus. Thank You for everything You have done for me.

 JESUS LOVES US

"It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness."

Lamentations 3:22, 23
King James Version

Jesus loves us unconditionally. He loved us yesterday. He loves us today and He will love us forever. Thank You, Jesus, for loving us, for dying for us and fo never leaving us. I love You so much and I look forward to the day I will see You face to face.

 THE STORY OF LOVE

"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time."

1 Timothy 2:5, 6
King James Version

Fanny Crosby wrote the beautiful hymn "TELL ME THE STORY OF JESUS" I love the words in this heart touching hymn.

"Tell of the cross where they nailed Him, Writhing in anguish and pain. Tell of the grave where they laid Him, Tell how He liveth again. Love in that story so tender, Clearer than ever I see. Stay, let me weep while you whisper, Love paid the ransom for me."

It is because our Heavenly Father loves us so much and because Jesus, our Saviour, loves us so much that we can have our sins forgiven and live forever in Heaven where  Jesus is preparing a mansion for us. What a privilege it is to be part of the family of God.

 STOP IT

"Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things."

Romans 2:1
King James Version

It is time that we stop judging one another and start praying for each other. I'm not perfect. You're not perfect. There was only one perfect person who ever lived or ever will live and His name is Jesus.

May God help us to encourage one another always remembering if we want people to forgive us then we need to forgive them. It will make Jesus happy if we will encourage one another instead of criticizing.

 OUR REDEEMER

"Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen."

Jude 1:24, 25
King James Version

Tullius C. O’Kane wrote a beautiful hymn "REDEEMED". The words in this hymn bring tears to my eyes to know that Jesus loves me so much, He died for me.

"O, sing of Jesus, Lamb of God, Who died on Calvary, And for a ransom shed His blood For you and even me."

Another hymn I love is "IT WAS FOR ME". "It was for me He cried, for me He died, For me He shed His blood upon a tree. It was for me He came, for me His shame; For me, oh praise His name, it was for me."

Think about it. Jesus loves you so much He died for you. If you are reading this devotion, know that Jesus loves you. He loved you yesterday. He loves you today and He will love you forever!

Yes, it was for you and for me that Jesus willingly walked that long lonely road to Calvary and allowed them to crucity Him. Please lift your heart and voice and join me in praising the "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS".

Hebrews 13:5

 WE NEED JESUS

"Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing."

John 15: 4, 5
King James Version

Jesus said we can't do anything without Him and it is true. I can't even get out of bed without Him. There are times when my arthritis hurts so much I just want to stay in bed so I really need Him. Jesus, I love You and I app0reciate all You do for me.

 ONE HAPPY DAY

"And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."

Revelation 21:3, 4
King James Version

One happy day God Himself is going to wipe away our tears. I believe He is going to dry our tears with loving compassionate kisses. Think about it! God Himself is going to wipe away our tears. Are you shouting with happiness yet?

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving us, for protecting us, for encouraging us and for giving Jesus to die for our sins. Thank You for the privilege You have given me to serve You by writing devotions. What a joy it has been to serve You these many years.  In Jesus' Name, I pray, Amen.

 OUR SAVIOUR CARES

"And one ran and filled a spunge full of vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see whether Elias will come to take him down. And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost."

Mark 15:36, 37
King James Version

Rev. Frank E. Graeff wrote the heart touching hymn "Does Jesus Care". I'm so glad the words in this hymn are true.

"Does Jesus care when my heart is pained Too deeply for mirth or song, As the burdens press, And the cares distress, And the way grows weary and long?

O yes, He cares, I know He cares, His heart is touched with my grief; When the days are weary, The long night dreary, I know my Savior cares."

Yes, Jesus cares when our heart is breaking. When He was here on earth on His mission, people rejected Him. Our Saviour knows how it hurts when people say hateful words and do things that hurt us.

Jesus will comfort you if you only tell Him that you are hurting. Jesus doesn't want us to be sad. We read in the Bible. "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." (John 10:10)

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving us so much You gave Your beloved Son to die on the cross for our sins so we can be saved. I pray for all who are lonely and discouraged and feel like going to bed and staying there.
Please comfort and encourage them as You have done for me so many times.

I pray for every man, every woman, every boy and every girl that has never given their heart and life to Jesus. May today be the day they invite Jesus into their heart.

 UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

"For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly."

Psalms 84:11
King James Version

One of the things I love about our Heavenly Father is knowing that He is not a permissive parent. I remember several times my Mother said to me "It doesn't matter what I say, you are going to do what you want to do".

I was disobedient to them. I used to blame them for everything bad that had happened to me until the day I heard Billy Graham say "Don't you blame your parents. There comes a time when we make the decision to do right or wrong".

Yes, our Heavenly Father and Jesus love us even when we do things and say things that hurt Them. What a privilege it is to be part of the family of God.

 ARE WE READY

"Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh."

Matthew 24:44
King James Version

Are we ready to meet Jesus if He should come back today? We are not ready to meet Him if we have allowed unforgiveness, resentment, criticism or hatred to remain in our heart.

We can fool others but God can see what is in our heart. Are we hurting our Heavenly Father by the things we have allowed to stay in our heart? If are hurting Him, we need to humble ourselves and ask God to forgive us.

 IT IS IMPOSSIBLE

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."

Ephesians 2:8-10
King James Version

It is impossible to put into words how much God loves us. If you're a parent would you give your son to die for someone? If we're honest with ourselves I think all of us would say no. Yet that is what our Heavenly Father did for you and for me.

What kind of loves is this? This is a forgiving unconditional love that can only come from the heart of God. I know it broke our Heavenly Father's heart when His beloved Son was hanging on the cross with the blood flowing down His body.

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving us and for caring about us and for the many times You comfort us. I love You, Heavenly Father. Thank You for the privilege You have given me to tell others about Jesus and His Love. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 ALL OF US

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

Romans 3:23
King James Version

None of us are perfect and that includes me. There are times when we do things and say things to others that hurts Jesus and breaks His heart. Instead of criticizing each other, we need to be encouragers to one another.

We are told to be encouragers to one another in the Bible. "They helped every one his neighbour; and every one said to his brother, Be of good courage.

So the carpenter encouraged the goldsmith, and he that smootheth with the hammer him that smote the anvil, saying, It is ready for the sodering: and he fastened it with nails, that it should not be moved. Isaiah 41:6, 7."

Are we an encouragement to our family and to our friends? The most important question that each one of us needs to answer is do my family and friends know I love Jesus by my actions and words?

How sad it would be if our children didn't see Jesus in our actions and hear Him in our words. May God help us to be an encouragement to one another instead of criticizing and causing problems.

 IS HE

"His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord."

Matthew 25:21
King James Version

Grace B. Maxwell wrote a hymn that should make all of us search our heart "Is He Satisfied with Me?" Can you say yes to this question?

"I am satisfied with Jesus, But a question comes to me As I ponder o’er His goodness: Is He satisfied with me?"

Every time I hear this hymn I ask Jesus if I am hurting Him or if I am making Him happy. Are you hurting Him or making Him happy?

 HE STILL LOVES US

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."

John 3:16, 17
King James Version

One of my favorite hymns is "HE" written by Richard Mullan. I love these words in this heart touching and inspiring hymn. What a healing balm it is to our weary battle scarred heart to know God loves us even when we hurt Him and fail Him.

"He can turn the tides and calm the angry sea. He alone decides who writes a symphony. He lights ev'ry star that makes our darkness bright. He keeps watch all through each long and lonely night. He still finds the time to hear a child's first prayer, Saint or sinner call and always find Him there. Though it makes Him sad to see the way we live, He'll always say, "I forgive."

If you are going through a dark valley or crisis, know that God loves you and cares for you and will comfort and encourage you if you only pray and ask Him to help you.

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving us and caring about us even when we hurt You or Jesus by our words and actions. I pray for every pastor who is preaching the good news of our risen Saviour. Please encourage them and let them know how much You appreciate their service to You. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 GOD'S PEACE

"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

Philippians 4:6, 7
King James Version

I think there are a lot of times that we worry and get upset when we don't have to be upset. If we will take our burdens to our Heavenly Father and leave them there, Jesus will give us peace.

Charles A. Tindley wrote one of my favorite hymns "Leave It There" I love the words in this inspiring hymn. "If the world from you withhold of its silver and its gold, And you have to get along with meager fare, Just remember, in His Word, how He feeds the little bird—Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

Leave it there, leave it there, Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there; If you trust and never doubt, He will surely bring you out— Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there."

The next time we are going through a dark valley or crisis instead of worrying, let's take our burden to our Heavenly Father and He will give us peace through our precious Saviour. What a privilege is ours to be God's children.

 ALIVE FOREVER

"He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay."

Matthew 28:6
King James Version

Philip P. Bliss wrote the inspiring hymn "HALLELUJAH, HE IS RISEN!". Yes, our Saviour rose from the dead and He is alive forver. He will never have to be crucified again. Yet, I think there are times when we hurt Him and break His heart because we are not kind to one another.

 GOD LOVES YOU

"Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?"

Luke 12:24
King James Version

You are precious to God and He loves you so much that He gave His beloved Son to die on the cross for our sins so we can be saved and go to Heaven when we die.

The good news is Jesus is not dead. He is alive and He cares about us. When we cry, He weeps with us and when we are happy, He rejoices with us. He never leaves us, not even for one minute.

if we can't find anything else to be thankful for, we can be happy that our Saviour is alive and with us and loves us unconditionally. Robert Lowry wrote one of my favorite hymns "Up From the Grave He Arose".

"Up from the grave He arose, With a mighty triumph o’er His foes, He arose a Victor from the dark domain, And He lives forever, With His saints to reign. He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!"

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving us so much You gave Your beloved Son to die on the cross so we may live. Jesus, thank You for dying for us so we may live in Heaven for eternity. I love You, Heavenly Father. I love You, Jesus. I love You, Holy Spirit. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 STILL SAVING

"And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world."

John 12:47
King James Version

Priscilla J. Owens wrote the hymn "JESUS SAVES". I love these words in this inspiring  hymn. "Sing above the battle strife: Jesus saves! Jesus saves! By His death and endless life Jesus saves! Jesus saves!

Shout it brightly through the gloom, When the heart for mercy craves; Sing in triumph o’er the tomb: Jesus saves! Jesus saves!"

Jesus is still saving people today who will humble themselves, admit they are sinners and invite Him into their heart. What a privilege it is to be a part of the family of God.

Have you invited Jesus into your heart? If not, I urge you to open the door of your heart and let Him come in to be your Saviour. You will know a peace, a joy and a happiness you have never known.

 HE IS STILL CALLING

"Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts."

Hebrews 4:7
King James Version

Fanny Crosy wrote the beautiful hymn "Jesus Is Tenderly Calling You Home". I love the words in this inspiring and heart touching hymn.

"Jesus is calling the weary to rest, Calling today, calling today, Bring Him your burden and you shall be blest; He will not turn you away. Calling today, calling today, Jesus is calling, is tenderly calling today."

Have you answered His call to serve Him? He may not call you to go to another country but He is calling all of us to serve Him right where we live.
