 DO WE REALLY BELIEVE

"But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed."

James 1:6
King James Version

Do we really believe and trust Jesus? I think there are times when we have more trust in a chair. When we sit down n a chair, we don't stop to wonder if it will hold us, we just sit down. May God forgive us for trusting a chair more than we trust Jesus.

 HIS GREAT LOVE

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

John 3:16
King James Version

I've tried to imagine loving someone so much I would give my son to die for them. Our Heavenly Father must really love us to allow them to crucify His Son on the cross. It was God's great love for you and for me that caused Him to allow His Son to be crucified for us.

I've said this many times and I will keep saying it until God calls me home to Heaven. No one loves us like God and Jesus love us and nobody ever will. I love You, Heavenly Father. I love You, Jesus. Thank you for loving me and for caring for me.

 AND THE TEARS FELL

"And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn."

Luke 2:7
King James Version

I've tried to think how Mary, the mother of Jesus must have felt when her beloved Son was beaten beyond recognition, spat on, and cursed when He hung on the cross with the blood flowing down His body and I can't begin to imagine how it broke her heart to see her Son bruised and bleeding.

If you are a mother, then you can understand just a little how Mary felt that day when her precious Son was crucified for something He didn't do. Jesus had never sinned, not even once yet He willingly walked that long lonely road to Calvary to die for your sins and for my sins.

I have said this countless times and I will keep saying it until God calls me home to Heaven. No one, not your spouse, not your parents, not your children nor anyone else loves you like Jesus loves you and no one ever will.

What a privilege is ours to be loved by the Saviour of the world. I love You, dear Jesus and I am going to give You a big hug when I have the privilege of seeing You face to face one happy joyous day.

Carrie E. Breck wrote one of the most beautiful hymns I have ever heard about our precious Saviour "FACE TO FACE WITH CHRIST, MYSAVIOR".  I love the words in this heart touching hymn.
"Only faintly now I see Him, With the darkened veil between, But a blessèd day is coming, When His glory shall be seen. Face to face I shall behold Him, Far beyond the starry sky; Face to face in all His glory, I shall see Him by and by!"

Are you ready to meet Jesus if He should come while you are reading this devotion? If not, I urge you to open the door of your heart and let Jesus come in. He loves you so much He died for you. Say yes to Jesus now before it is too late.

One day it will be too late to say yes to Jesus. Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for you.

 A DAY OF JOY

"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord."

Luke 2:11
King James Version

It was a day of joy when our Saviour was born and every day should be a day of joy because Jesus loves us and He loves us unconditionally. I love You, dear Jesus, and I look forward to the happy joyous day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.

 DO WE KEEP IT

"But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it."

Luke 11:28
King James Version

It's not enough to read the Bible and hear the pastor preach. We must do what God tells us to do. Are we doing it?

We read in the Bible. "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another." (John 13:34)

Can we honestly say we are loving one another as Jesus loves us? If not, we are hurting Him and breaking His hear. Jesus has suffered enough. It is time that we make Him happy.

It should be the desire of every Christian to mkae Jesus happy. Are you making Him happy or are you hurting Him and breaking His heart?

 HOW TERRIBLE

"Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be."

James 3:10
King James Version

When I went through those years of crippling devastating depression, I couldn't take a bath as much as I wanted to do so because I was emotionally dead.

You might think that's terrible and that I smelled. I'm sure I did but what is worse is the  crippling words that come out of our mouth. When we say harsh and crippling words to someone we might as well take a knife and plunge it deep into their heart because it hurts just as much.

May God help us to only say words that encourage and not say words that hurt and discourage. Not only do we hurt people when we say harsh words to them, we also hurt Jesus.

The Bible tells us when we hurt someone, we also hurt Jesus. It is time that we make our Saviour happy. He has suffered enough for you and for me.

 EVERY DAY

"And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."

Luke 2:10-14
King James Version

What a time of rejoicing it was when the birth of Jesus was announced! However, we should rejoice every day that Jesus was born, not just at Christmas time.

Jesus does so much for us every day that we should always rejoice and praise His precious name.

I have already started to decorate my home for Christmas because the happiness and joy Jesus gives us every day should be in our heart every day of the year.

What a privilege it is to be loved by Jesus and to be part of His family. Just thin! If we have invited Jesus into our heart to be our personal Saviour, one happy day we will live with Jesus in Heaven forever where He has already prepared mansions for us.

My precious sister has decorated my home with beautiful things but Jesus has decorated our heart with His unconditional love and forgiveness.

What a privilege is ours to be loved by the Saviour of the world and to know that one day we will be with Him forever. I love You, dear Jesus.
