 EVERY MINUTE

"But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them."

Luke 24:29
King James Version

I don't know about you but I need Jesus every minute of the day. I can't even get out of bed without Him helping me. O how I love Jesus. He is the Joy of my heart and the reason I'm living and one happy day I will have the privilege of seeing Him face to face.

 HE REALLY DOES

"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."

1 Peter 5:7
King James Version

Civilla D. Martin wrote the beautiful hymn "God Will Take Care of You." I believe she wrote this hymn from her heart. God really does take care of us.

I can't get up from my bed or the toilet or a chair without first praying and asking God to help me which He does every time.

So even though I am in a lot of pain because of gout and arthritis several times a day, I always have the reassurance from my Heavenly Father that He cares about me and will help me.

If you are hurting physically or emotionally, tell our Heavenly Father. He really loves you and doesn't want you to hurt. He loves you so much He gave His beloved Son to die on the cross so you can have your sins forgiven and go to Heaven and be with Jesus for all eternity.

Thank You, Heavenly Father. I love You and appreciate all You have done for me and all You do for me every day. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 THE ANSWER IS YES

"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."

1 Peter 5:7
King James Version

Rev. Frank E. Graeff wrote a beautiful hymn about our precious Saviour "DOES JESUS CARE?" The answer to that is yes because If He didn't care about us, He would never have died for us.

I love the words in this heart touching hymn. "Does Jesus care when my heart is pained Too deeply for mirth or song, As the burdens press, and the cares distress And the way grows weary and long yes, He cares, I know He cares, His heart is touched with my grief; When the days are weary, the long nights dreary, I know my Savior cares."

If you are hurting today, tell Jesus. He will pick you up in His loving arms and will carry you until the pain goes away. O how much He loves you and cares about your health and happiness.

 HE IS COMING

"But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only."

Matthew 24:36
King James Version

It doesn't matter if we believe it or not because Jesus is coming again to take us home to Heaven and we will be with Him forever and we had better be ready when He comes back for us. Jesus can come back for us even while I am typing this devotion.

Are you ready to meet Him when He comes back for us? Please make sure your heart is in right standing with our Heavenly Father. God is not impressed with our money, with our jobs, what car we drive or what club we belong to because what touches the heart of our Heavenly Fatter is how much unconditional love we have for others.

Jesus has told us that we are to love others unconditionally as He loves us. It's hard to love people when they say and do things that hurt us but that is exactly what Jesus did as He hung on the cross with the blood flowing down His precious body. He gave unconditional love and He still gives it today to you and to me.

Have you told Jesus today that you lovd Him? Do you love Him? If so, what are you doing to prove to Him that you love Him? Our precious loving Saviour has feelings too and He wants us to tell Him that we love Him and appreciate Him.

I love You so much, dear Jesus. What a privilege has been mine to write devotions about You these last twenty years. One day when I have the privilege of seeing You face to face, I'm going to give You the biggest hug You have ever had. Thank You for dying on the cross and paying the price for my sins, a price I could never have paid.

 A GIFT FROM THE HEART

"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."

Luke 2:11-14
King James Version

Someone asked me how I decide what I am going to write and the answer is you cam know when you receive a devotion from me, that it is because God spoke to my heart and inspired me to write it.

I have tried many times to write a devotion but the words would not come. Please know when you get a devotion or anything else from me, you can know that God inspired me to write it.

This is a devotion about our precious Saviour but it is also my way of honoring my beloved sister who not only gives from her heart at Christmas, she also gives from her heart every day of the year.

God knew that I would go through a devastating and crippling depression for over forty years so He gave my sister to me to help me. Is my sister perfect? No, she isn't just as you and i are not perfect. There was only one perfect person who ever lived or ever will live and His Name is Jesus.

I don't have the money to buy my sister gifts this year due to medical expenses so this is my way of honoring her and giving a gift to her from my heart.

Even if we can buy a lot of presents for our loved ones, we still should give from our heart because that is what God did for you and for me when He gave His beloved Son to die on the cross for us.

Thank You, Heavenly Father, for giving from Your heart. Thank You, Jesus, for giving from Your heart.

Thank You my beloved sister for giving from your heart every day of the year. I love you and thank God that He made us sisters.

 A STORY OF LOVE

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

Matthew 11:28
King James Version

William Medlen Hutchings wrote a beautiful heart touching hymn about our precious Saviour "WE HAVE HEARD THE WONDROUS STORY".  I love the words in this hymn.

"We have heard the wondrous story Of the Savior’s lowly birth; How He left the throne of glory To redeem the host of earth. To the fold, to the fold, We an entrance seek to win; And we wait at the gate; Jesus, Shepherd, let us in."

How thankful I am that Jesus loves us so much that He did make a way for us to be redeemed and have our sins forgiven, through His precious blood that He shed for you and for me on the cross.

If you ever doubt that Jesus loves you, remember the cross and all the torture, agony and abuse He suffered and endured for you and for me while hanging on the cross with the blood flowing down His precious body.

Thank You, Jesus, for loving me when I was so unlovely. How I long to see You face and face and praise God, I will see You face to face one happy glorious day. I love You, dear Jesus.

 OUR LOVING SAVIOUR

"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord."

Luke 2:11
King James Version

Charles Weigle wrote one of my favorite hymns "No One Ever Cared For Me Like Jesus". I'm so glad the words in this beautiful heart touching hymn are true.

"I would love to tell you what I think of Jesus, Since I found in Him a friend so strong and true. I would tell you how He changed my life completely; He did something no other friend could do.

No one ever cared for me like Jesus;
There's no other friend so kind as He.
No one else could take the sin and darkness from me; O how much He cared for me."

Yes, Jesus cares for me and He loves me no matter how many times I sometimes fail Him just as He loves you. There is no one like Jesus. No one loves you like Jesus loves you and no one ever will. We are so blessed to have our precious Saviour Who loves us so much He died for us.

I love You, dear Jesus and I long for the day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face. Thank You for loving me even when I sometimes fail You.
