 A DAY OF HAPPINESS

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with" these words."

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
King James Version

What a day of happiness that is going to be when when Jesus comes back for us! Has there ever been a time when you confessed your sins, asked God to forgive you and invited Jesus into your heart to be your Saviour? If not, I urge yoi to do it even as you read this devotion.

We don't know when He is coming for us but He is coming for us and we need to be ready. Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for yuo. I love You, dear Jesus and one happy day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face. What a day of rejoicing that will be.

 I STILL LOVE YOU

"The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee."

Jeremiah 31:3
King James Version

No matter what we do or how many times we hurt Jesus we have the assurance that He will always love us. What a privilege is ours to be loved by the Saviour of the world.

Can we honestly say that we love when someone hurts us? I have to be honest and say I have to pray and ask God to help me keep my big mouth shut when someone says or does something to hurt me.

If we will love one another unconditionlly as Jesus has commanded us to love one another , we will make our Saviour happy. Making Jesus happy should be the desire of every one of us. I love You, dear Jesus and I appreciate all that You have done for me. Thank You for never leaving me.

 STOP HURTING JESUS

"The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee."

Jeremiah 31:3
King James Version

No matter what we do or how many times we hurt Jesus we have the assurance that He will always love us. What a privilege is ours to be loved by the Saviour of the world.

Can we honestly say that we love when someone hurts us? I have to be honest and say I have to pray and ask God to help me keep my big mouth shut when someone says or does something to hurt me.

It's time we stop hurting Jesus and love others unconditionally as Jesus loves us. If we don't love others unconditionally, we are hurting Jesus and breaking His heart.

 ARE YOU READY

"For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night."
1 Thessalonians 5:2

King James Version

Peter P. Bilhorn asks a question in this hymn that every one of us has to answer "COULD YOU WELCOME HIM TONIGHT?"

"Are you waiting, are you ready For the coming Lord? Are you living as He bids you In His holy word? Are you walking in the light? Is your hope of Heaven bright? Could you welcome Him tonight, Should He come?"

What about you? Is your heart in right standing with God? When our Heavenly Father looks in your heart, does it make Him happy or does it make Him sad? May God have mercy on us if we are hurting His beloved Son.

I love You, dear Heavenly Father. I love You, Jesus. I love You, Holy Spirit. Father, please comfort and encourage all who are hurting. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, I pray Amen.

 ARE WE DOING IT

"He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?"

Micah 6:8
King James Version

Eliza E. Hewitt wrote the beautiful hymn "STEPPING IN THE LIGHT". I love these words in this inspiring hymn. Are we doing what we sing?

"Trying to walk in the steps of the Savior, Trying to follow our Savior and king; Shaping our lives by His blessèd example, Happy, how happy, the songs that we bring.

How beautiful to walk in the steps of the Savior, Stepping in the light, stepping in the light, How beautiful to walk in the steps of the Savior, Led in paths of light."

Heavenly Father, thank You for Jesus Who not only is the Light of the world, He is also the Light in our heart. Thank You for being a compassionate caring Father. I love You. Thank You for adopting me into Your family. Please comfort all who are hurting. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 GOD GUIDES US

"I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye."

Psalms 32:8
King James Version

Pastor Joseph H. Gilmore wrote a beautiful hymn about our Saviour. It is one of my favorite hymns "HE LEADETH ME".

"He leadeth me, O blessèd thought! O words with heav’nly comfort fraught! Whate’er I do, where’er I be Still ’tis God’s hand that leadeth me.

Sometimes mid scenes of deepest gloom, Sometimes where Eden’s bowers bloom, By waters still, over troubled sea, Still ’tis His hand that leadeth me.

He leadeth me, He leadeth me, By His own hand He leadeth me; His faithful follower I would be, For by His hand He leadeth me."

Our Heavenly Father leads us. Are we following Him or do we insist on doing what we want to do and going where we want to go? If so, we are hurting Him and breaking His heart.

 THE BLOOD OF OUR SAVIOUR

"The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world."

John 1:29
King James Version

Peter P. Bilhorn wrote a beautiful hymn about our Saviour "THE LAMB OF GOD". I love the words in this hymn.

"My soul is redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.  The blood of the Lamb, the blood of the Lamb; He sought me and bought me, how happy I am, Since saved by the blood of the Lamb."

Rev. Robert Lowry wrote another one of my favorite hymns about our Saviour "NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD". Thank God that He loves us so much He gave His beloved Son to die on the cross for our sins.

What can wash away my sin Nothing but the blood of Jesus; What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

For my pardon, this I see, Nothing but the blood of Jesus; For my cleansing this my plea, Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

This is all my hope and peace, Nothing but the blood of Jesus; This is all my righteousness, Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Oh! precious is the flow That makes me white as snow; No other fount I know, Nothing but the blood of Jesus."

Thank You, dear Jesus, for walking that long lonely road to Calvary and allowing them to crucify You for our sins. I love You so much and I appreciate all You have done for me.

One happy and joyous day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face. Are you going to see Jesus face to face?
