ALIVE NOT DEAD

"Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place."

There are times when we act like Jesus is still dead. He is not dead, He is alive and waiting for us to go to Him so He can help us.

One of my favorite hymns is "CHRIST IS RISEN, ALL TRIUMPHANT". There are times when we act like Jesus is still dead. He is not dead. He is alive and eager to help us if we will only go to Him.

"Christ is risen, all triumphant— He is risen from the tomb! Angel voices, sweetly singing, Banish all our earthly gloom!
Join the glad song, all ye nations, Of His great redeeming love; Calvary alone can save us: Christ is smiling from above.

He has risen! He is pleading For each poor and struggling one; Blessèd day, we hail thy dawning; Hope shall gild thy rising sun!

While on earth reviled, rejected, Gain He counted but as loss. Hallelujah! He has risen, And we bow before the cross. Let the glad songs, now ascending, Sing our dear Redeemer’s name; Christ has risen! Christ has risen! All our hope is in the same;

Blessèd day that banished darkness, At the cross we bow in love, Knowing that a risen Savior Smiles all sweetly from above.

I love You, dear Jesus. What a wonderful loving Saviour You are to endure all that pain for us on the cross because You love us.

Please join me in praising the "KING OF KINGS". If you don't know this wonderful Saviour, I urge you to give your heart and life to Him before it is too late. Don't miss out on spending eternity with Jesus Who loves you so much He died for you.

 HE REALLY DOES CARE

Rev. Frank E. Graeff wrote a beautiful hymn about our precious Saviour "Does Jesus Care". The words in this hymn are so true.

"Does Jesus care when my heart is pained Too deeply for mirth or song, As the burdens press, and the cares distress And the way grows weary and long?

Oh yes, He cares, I know He cares, His heart is touched with my grief; When the days are weary, the long nights dreary, I know my Savior cares.

Does Jesus care when my way is dark With a nameless dread and fear? As the daylight fades into deep night shades, Does He care enough to be near?

Does Jesus care when I’ve tried and failed To resist some temptation strong; When for my deep grief there is no relief, Though my tears flow all the night long?

Does Jesus care when I’ve said goodbye To the dearest on earth to me, And my sad heart aches till it nearly breaks, Is it aught to Him? Does He see?  

We know Jesus cares and loves us because He proved it when He allowed them to crucify Him on the cross and suffered all that pain for something He hadn't done.

Yes, Jesus really does care when we are sad and we feel like we can't take another step or give another smile. If you'te hurting, tell Jesus. He will pick you up and carry you until the pain goes away and will set you once again on the mountain of happiness.

I love You, dear Jesus. Thank You for all You've done for me and for all You do for me every day. I look forward to seeing You when God calls me home to Heaven.

 HE IS STILL ALIVE

Some times we act like Jesus is not alive. He is alive and will never have to be crucified again. When Jesus died on the cross, He defeated satan.

What a Saviour! What a Friend, this Jesus of Nazareth! Please join me in praising the One Who loves us so much He died for us. I love You, dear Jesus and appreciate all You have done for me.

 HE DIED FOR YOU AND ME

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

G. H. Williams wrote the beautiful hymn "JESUS DIED FOR ME". Yes, all the pain that Jesus suffered on the cross was for us so we can be saved and go to Heaven when we die.

"Angels in shining order stand Around the Savior’s throne; They bow with reverence at His feet And make His glory known. Those happy spirits sing His praise To all eternity, But I can sing redeeming grace, For Jesus died for me.

The cross of Christ inspires my heart To sing redeeming grace; Awake, my soul, and bear a part In my Redeemer’s praise.

O who can be compared to Him Who died upon the tree? This is my dear, delightful theme, That Jesus died for me.

Eloi, lama, sabachthani? My God, my God, He cried, Why hast Thou thus forsaken Me? And thus my Savior died.

But why did God forsake His Son, When bleeding on the tree? He died for sins, but not His own, For Jesus died for me."

Our Heavenly Father can't look at sin because He is Holy and Jesus had taken our sins on Him so God had to turn away from His own Son. I believe God cried for a long time because He had to turn away from His beloved Son, Jesus.

I think that even today God cries when He sees the way His Son is treated. May God have mercy on us and forgive us for hurting His beloved Son.

I love You, Jesus. Thank You for dying for my sins and for all You do for me every day. What a day of joy and happiness it will be when I have the privilege of seeing You face to face.

 YES HE CARES

We know Jesus cares. He proved He cared when He died on the cross for our sins. He suffered excruciating pain on the cross. He took our place and died for us so we can go to Heaven when we die.

What have we done for Him? Does He know we care? We can tell people we care but Jesus can see in our heart and He knows if we really care or if we are just putting on a show.

May God have mercy on us if we are hurting His beloved Son. I love You, dear Jesus. Thank You for never leaving me and for comforting me when I am hurting. I appreciate You so much.

 GOD'S GRACE

Bill and Gloria Gaither sing a heart touching inspiring hymn "He Is Mine and I Am His". Thank God that we have the privilege of being His and that He is ours.

"Blessèd Lily of the Valley, Oh, how fair is He!  He is mine, I am His; Sweeter than the angel’s music Is His voice to me,
He is mine, I am His. Where the lilies fair are blooming By the water calm, There He leads me and upholds me By His strong right arm; All the air is love around me, I can feel no harm, He is mine, I am His."

Have you given your heart and life to Jesus? If not, I urge you to invite Him into your heart. Jesus loves you so much He died on the cross for us. Don't let all the pain He sufferd on the cross for you be for nothing.

 ARE WE SERVING JESUS

Jessie Pounds wrote a hymn that should challenge all of us "DARE TO SHOW YOUR COLORS".

"Dare to live for Jesus! Dare to bravely stand, Ready when He calls you, Waiting His command.

Dare to show your colors! Dare to own your king! Dare to be a Christian! Dare to serve and sing!

Dare to speak for Jesus! Dare to show the way From this land of shadows To the land of day.

Dare to work for Jesus! He has work for you, Something for His service, Something you can do."

I thank God for the privilege He has given me to write daily devotions about His beloved Son, Jesus. Every time I write a devotion, I feel closer to Jesus and one happy and joyous day I will have the privilege of seeing Jesus face to face when God calls me home to Heaven.

What a wonderful day of rejoicing and happiness that is going to be. How I long to see my precious Saviour face to face.

Are you going to see Jesus? Have you made room for Jesus in your heart and in your life? If not, you are hurting Him and breaking His heart.

One of my favorite hymns is "HAVE YOU ANY ROOM FOR JESUS?" I couldn't find who wrote this hymn.

"Have you any room for Jesus, He who bore your load of sin? As He knocks and asks admission, Sinners, will you let Him in?

Room for Jesus, King of Glory! Hasten now His Word obey; Swing the heart’s door widely open, Bid Him enter while you may.

Room for pleasure, room for business, But for Christ the Crucified, Not a place that He can enter, In the heart for which He died?

Have you any room for Jesus, As in grace He calls again? O today is time accepted, Tomorrow you may call in vain.

Room and time now give to Jesus, Soon will pass God’s day of grace; Soon thy heart left cold and silent, And thy Savior’s pleading cease."

If you have never made room for Jesus in your heart and life, do it now! Please don't keep hurting Jesus and breaking His heart.
