GOD SAID
“COMFORT ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.”
Isaiah
40:1 KJV
God
said for us to comfort His people. He
didn’t ask us to comfort them. He told
us to comfort them. Are we doing
it? When we see people who are
discouraged, brokenhearted and lonely, do we comfort them? How do we comfort them? We comfort them by telling them that Jesus
loves them.
However,
it is not enough to just tell them Jesus loves them. We must prove to them that Jesus loves them
by our kind words and loving actions.
One of the best ways to prove to them that Jesus loves them is to hug
them. If you don’t feel comfortable
hugging people, hug them with loving words.
“Blessed
be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and
the God of all comfort. Who comforteth
us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any
trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God” (2
Corinthians 1:3, 4).
Heavenly
Father, thank You for the many times You have picked me up and rocked me when I
was hurting. You are a tender,
compassionate and loving Father. I love
You and I appreciate You. Thank You for
caring. I pray for every person who is
hurting. Please comfort them. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
