COMPASSION AND MERCY
“But he, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, and
destroyed them not: yea, many a time turned he his anger away, and did not stir
up all his wrath.”
Psalm
78:38 KJV
One
of the definitions I found for mercy in Webster’s Dictionary is “kind or
forgiving treatment of someone who could be treated harshly”. I am so thankful that our Heavenly Father is
a loving, compassionate, tender and forgiving Father. We don’t deserve to go to Heaven but because
of the blood of Jesus we can go.
We
read in the Bible “In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the
forgiveness of sins: (Colossians 1:14).
What a tender amazing and unconditional love for you and for me kept
Jesus on the cross when He could have come down. We have a precious and loving Saviour.
One
day we will see Him face to face when He comes back for us. How I long for that day. I have a family I love very much and I have a
lot of wonderful friends but Jesus is my Saviour and my Best Friend. He loves me unconditionally just as He loves
you. He will always love you no matter
what you do.
Heavenly
Father, thank You for giving Jesus to die on the cross for us. I love You, Heavenly Father. I love You, Jesus. I love You, Holy Spirit. Father, I pray for every pastor who is
spreading the love of Jesus. Please
encourage them and let them know how much You love them. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
