LOVE AND LIKE
“The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved
thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn
thee.”
Jeremiah
31:3 KJV
We
know that Jesus loves us. He not only
has told us that He loves us many times, He has also proved how much He loves
us when He died on the cross for our sins.
I am so glad to know that He loves me but I also want Him to like me. Yet, there are times when I know He doesn’t
like the things I say, think or do.
A
dad talking to someone said “I love my son, but I don’t like him.” I wonder if our Heavenly Father thinks that
at times because of the things we say or think or do. Does He like the things we have allowed to
remain in our heart? It is very
important that we keep our heart in right standing with God.
Heavenly
Father, I love You so much and I never want to hurt You. However, I know that there are times when I
do hurt You. Please forgive me. I’m sorry.
I not only want You to love me, I also want You to like me. I want to make You happy. Thank You for adopting me into Your
family. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
