NOT ENOUGH MONEY
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John
3:16 KJV
I
watched a Christmas program about a family who didn’t have enough money to buy
Christmas gifts for one another. It
wouldn’t matter how much money we have because there is not enough money to buy
love, unconditional love. God has all
the money in the world yet He gave us a free gift, Jesus.
People
try to buy their way or work their way into Heaven. It hasn’t worked and it will never work
because salvation is a free gift given to us unconditionally from the heart of
God and Jesus. I believe we hurt Jesus
and break His heart many times because we don’t accept the love He gives us.
We
can have a lot of money and buy expensive gifts for one another but if we don’t
give love, unconditional love as Jesus gives to us, we haven’t given anything
that will last. Love, unconditional
love, given from the heart will mean more to our loved ones than anything we
can give them.
Not
only should we give unconditional love, we should also give thanks and
appreciation especially to our pastors.
How it must hurt and break a pastor’s heart when we fight and say mean
cruel words to one another. Our pastors
spend a lot of time ministering to us and we should be grateful.
Heavenly
Father, I pray for every pastor who is preaching the good news of our risen
Saviour. Please encourage them. Thank You for the Gift You have given us, the
Baby Jesus Who grew up and became our Saviour.
In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
