FORGIVE

“For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

Matthew 6:14, 15

A lady went to a pastor and said she was having trouble forgiving her dad.  The pastor said “We can’t forgive.  Only God can forgive”.  I submit to you on the authority of the Word of God that is a lie straight from the pits of hell.

The Bible makes it very clear that if we don’t forgive others, God won’t forgive us.  How dare you and I ask God to forgive us if we aren’t willing to forgive those who hurt us?  We need to remember there was only one perfect person and His Name is Jesus.

May God help us to forgive and love one another unconditionally as Jesus has commanded us to love others.  If you have unforgiveness in your heart, ask God to forgive you.  Remember, He forgives you when you hurt Him.
