REMEMBER WHEN
“The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in
mercy. He will not always chide: neither
will he keep his anger for ever. He hath
not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our
iniquities. For as the heaven is high
above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far
hath he removed our transgressions from us.”
Psalm
103:8-12 KJV
Have
you ever said to God “Do You remember when I lost my temper and said something
unkind”? If we will listen with our
heart, we will hear Him say to us “I don’t remember”. Does this mean He has a poor memory? Of course not, God knows everything. He just chooses to forgive us and forget it.
O
that you and I would follow our Heavenly Father’s example and not only forgive
those who hurt us but also forget what they did. If we don’t forgive one another from our
heart and never remind them of what they did, we have not forgiven them and we
are hurting God and breaking His heart.
We
need to remember that nobody is perfect because every one of us have hurt
God. There was only one perfect person
who ever lived or ever will live and His Name is Jesus. I am so glad that God chooses to forgive us
when we sin and that He never holds it against us again. Thank God for His unconditional love.
Heavenly
Father, thank You for loving us so much that You forgive us when we sin and
hurt You. Please help us to love each
other unconditionally. Heavenly Father, I
love You and appreciate all that You have done for me. Thank You for adopting me into Your
family. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
