HIS REDEEMING LOVE
“But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man
appeared. Not by works of righteousness
which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of
regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly
through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should
be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”
Titus
3:4-7 KJV
We
are saved and redeemed through the precious love of our Saviour. When Jesus allowed them to crucify Him for
our sins and shed His own blood, He redeemed us from all our sins and if we
have invited Jesus into our heart to be our personal Saviour, we are saved and
will live in Heaven with Jesus for all eternity.
One
of the definitions I found for redeem in Webster’s Dictionary is “to free from
the consequences of sin”. That is
exactly what Jesus did on the cross for us.
What a Saviour! What a Friend,
this Jesus of Nazareth ! There is no one like Jesus. No one loves us like Jesus love us and no one
ever will.
Squire
Parsons wrote the beautiful and inspiring hymn which is one of my favorite
hymns “HE CAME TO ME”. This verse
describes me before Jesus saved me. “He
came to me when I was bound in chains of sin, He came to me when I possessed no
hope within,” Thank God for the redeeming love of Jesus.
Precious
Heavenly Father, I love You so much.
Thank You for Jesus and for adopting me into Your family. Jesus, how I love You. How I long to see You face to face. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins
and for coming to me when I couldn’t go to You.
In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
