ENCOURAGEMENT
“So the carpenter encouraged the goldsmith, and he that smootheth
with the hammer him that smote the anvil, saying, It is ready for the sodering:
and he fastened it with nails, that it should not be moved.”
Isaiah
41:7 KJV
I
watched the funeral for Mrs. Reagan on television yesterday. It touched my heart because they said so many
kind things and I’m sure it encouraged her family. However, I wonder if they ever said all those
kind words to Mrs. Reagan when she was alive.
She couldn’t hear them at her funeral.
A
pastor said in a sermon “My uncle raised me and I was going to tell him how
much I loved him and appreciated all he had done for me but I waited too long
and he died before I told him.” Many
years ago, I called a friend of mine to thank her for all she had done for
me. I waited too long. She had died.
What
about you? Have you told your family and
loved ones how much you love them and appreciate them? If not, tell them today. All of us need love and encouragement and we
need to know someone cares about us and loves us. What about Jesus? Have you told Him today that you love Him?
It
would break my heart if Jesus didn’t tell me every day He loves me. It also hurts Jesus when we don’t tell Him
how much we love and appreciate Him. O
how I love Jesus! He is the Joy of my
heart and the reason I’m living. I long
to see Him face to face and thank God one day I will see Him face to face.
