DID YOU TELL THEM
“The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved
thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.”
Jeremiah
31:3 KJV
A
young girl asked a pastor how to get her mother to tell her she loves her. The girl said “My mother has never told me
she loves me. I want to tell her I love
her but I’m afraid if she doesn’t say she loves me, it will hurt me”. The pastor said “Don’t expect your mom to say
it and maybe one day she will say it”.
We
never have to wonder if Jesus loves us.
If we will listen with our heart, we will hear Him say to us “I love you
so much I died for you”. What a
privilege it is to be loved by the Saviour of the world. We know He loves us but does He know we love
Him? What are we doing to prove to Him
how much we love Him?
What
about your children, your spouse and your loved ones? Did you tell them you love them today? If you haven’t told them that you love them,
tell them now. God may call you home or
call them home and it will be too late to tell them. All of us need to know we are loved and
wanted.
A
pastor said in a sermon “I was going to tell my uncle how much I loved him but
I kept putting it off. On the day that I
determined I was going to tell him, my uncle died before I could tell him. Please don’t put off telling your loved ones
how much you love them. Don’t wait until
it is too late."
