A VERY SPECIAL MOTHER
“When Jesus
therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith
unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then saith he to the disciple, Behold
thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.”
John
19:26,27
King
James Version
Even
while Jesus was hanging on the cross with the blood flowing down His precious
body and in pain that you and I will never know, He wanted to make sure someone
would take care of His mother.
What kind of love is
this that Jesus would think about anyone or anything while in such pain and
agony? It is a love that can only come from the heart of our Saviour.
I have said this many
times and I will keep saying it until God calls me home to Heaven. No one loves
us like Jesus loves us and no one ever will.
I have a very special
Mother. It is not my Mom who gave birth to me as she died several years ago on
Christmas Day.
However, God knew I
needed a mother to guide me and protect me so He trusted my beloved sister to
be a mother to me.
Someone
said "It's only natural for sisters and brothers to fight". That is a
lie straight from the pits of hell. Jesus wants us to love one another
unconditionally.
My precious sister has
been more than a sister and a mother firgure to me, she has comforted me,
encouraged me, and protected me. How I praise God and thank Him for my beloved
sister.
For those of you who
have been on my mailing list a long time, you know that I went through a
crippling depression for over twenty years. God used to my sister to comfort
me, guide me and protect me. How I love my sister!!!
My sister opened her
home to Mom and Dad when they were sick and couldn't live alone any more. She
opened her home to me. I was in the hospital off and on for several years, she
took me into her home and did her best to encourage me.
I remember one time we
had gone shopping and I was still afraid of everyone and everything. After
hearing I was no good, fat and ugly and had no right to live, I began to
believe I didn't have a right to live and I tried to take my life sevral times.
While my sister and I
were in the department store and she was looking at clothes, I followed her
every move. When she walked around the clothes rack, I followed her no matter
where she went.
Thank God for a sister who
cares enough to open her heart and her home. She has moved and I don't get to
see her but one happy day I will meet her in Heaven. I love you and appreciate
all you have done for me, my beloved sister.
If you know a mother
who has lost a child, it doesn't matter how old or how young the mother is, go
see her or call her. I promise you that her heart is breaking and she is huring
a lot.
Heavenly Father, thank
You for giving my sister to me, not only as a sister, but also as a comforter
and an encourrage. I love you, Rosa, and thank God for you.
