PATIENCE
“That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being
fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience
and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath
made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:”
Colossians
1:10-12 KJV
Don’t
ever pray for something you want unless you really want it. I used to be a very impatient person and it
caused me a lot of problems. Many years
ago, I prayed and asked God to give me patience. He not only answered my prayer, He is still
answering it. He is still teaching me
how to be patient.
We
need to be joyful while we are learning to be patient. “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy
presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore”
(Psalm 16:11). I love my family and my friends
but it is only when I am in the presence of Jesus that I have the fulness of
joy.
Heavenly
Father, thank You for being patient with me while You are teaching me
patience. Please help us to be patient
with one another so people will know how much we love You. I pray that others will always know that
Jesus loves them by the things I do and the words that I say. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
