FROM THE VALLEY TO
THE MOUNTAIN
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I
will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort
me.”
Psalm
23:4 KJV
Jesus
takes us from the valley of despair to the mountain of happiness. There is more than one kind of death. There is the death of a divorce and the death
of a friendship. One of the definitions I
found for death in Webster’s Dictionary is “the ruin or destruction of
something”.
There
were two ladies who had been friends for many years but one day one of the
ladies did something and said something hateful to the other lady and their
friendship died. They didn’t trust each
other any more and didn’t love one another any more. I know that hurt Jesus and broke His heart.
We
have a faithful loving Saviour Who loves us so much He died for our sins. Jesus will always love us because He loves us
unconditionally. His love doesn’t depend
on what we do or don’t do. What a
Saviour, this Jesus of Nazareth ! All hail, King Jesus! Worthy is the Lamb of God!
O
that you and I will love one another unconditionally as Jesus has commanded us
to love. Loving one another
unconditionally is not an option. It is
a commandment from Jesus. Can we
honestly say we love one another unconditionally? May God help us to love as Jesus wants us to
love one another.
