WHAT ARE WE GIVING
HIM
“When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is
finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.”
John

Frances
Ridley Havergal wrote a beautiful hymn “I Gave My Life for Thee”. It asks us a question that each one of us
needs to ask himself or herself. The question
is what are we giving our precious Saviour?
Have we given Him our life, all of our time, all of our talents and all
that we have?
Have
you allowed it to go from head knowledge to heart knowledge how much Jesus
loves you? Yes, I’m talking about you! He loves you so much that He allowed them to
beat Him beyond recognition, spit on Him, mock Him and curse Him. Nobody loves you like He loves you and nobody
ever will.
I
knew for many years that Jesus loves us but when I used to sing that song in
Sunday school about Jesus loving us, it was very hard for me to accept the fact
that Jesus, the KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS would love me but He does love
me and He loves you. What an amazing
unconditional love!
I’ve
always wanted to sing in the choir at church but when I joined the choir, I was
asked to leave because I sang off key.
It broke my heart and I cried.
However, one wonderful day I will sing in the Heavenly Choir and I will
sing on key. How I long for that day! I will be able to sing and praise Jesus for
eternity.
Heavenly
Father, You gave Your beloved Son to die for us. Precious Saviour, You gave Your life for us
on the cross. Thank You for dying for us
and for Your amazing and unconditional love.
I love You, Heavenly Father. I
love You, Jesus. I love You, Holy
Spirit. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
