ARE WE COMFORTING
PEOPLE
“Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.”
Isaiah
40:1 KJV
God
said we are to comfort one another. Are
we doing it? Are we comforting people as
God has told us to do? We need one
another. The person who says he or she
doesn’t need anyone is not being truthful.
Even Jesus needed to be comforted and encouraged. May God help us to be comforters to one
another.
What
about our spouses, our children and our parents? Are we comforting them? O that every family would put Jesus first in
everything they do and say. May our
children see the difference Jesus has made in our heart and life so they will
invite Him into their heart. May Jesus
be praised in everything we do.
Heavenly
Father, thank You for the many countless times You have comforted and
encouraged me. Please help me to be an
encourager and a comforter to those who are hurting. I pray for every pastor who is preaching the
good news of our risen Saviour. Please
comfort them. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
