DISOBEDIENCE
“And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice
of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying,
Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt
thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it
bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat
bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for
dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.”
Genesis
3:17-19 KJV
We
like to blame other people when things go wrong and sometimes we even blame God
but it is not His fault. When Adam and
Eve disobeyed God, sin entered the world.
We say that one sin is worse than another sin, but to God sin is
sin. If God were to say one sin is
worse, He would say disobedience.
My
Mother used to say to me “It doesn’t matter what I say, you’re going to do what
you want to do”. I think if we will
listen with our heart that there are times when we will hear our Heavenly
Father say to us “It doesn’t matter what I say, you’re going to do what you
want to do”.
How
we must hurt our Heavenly Father and break His heart when we disobey Him. God loves us so much He gave Jesus to die on
the cross for our sins. He proved to us
how much He loves us. What are we doing
to prove to God how much we love Him? Do
we love Him? Does He know we love Him?
When
we love people, we do all we can to prove to them we love them not only by our
words, but also by our actions. What are
we doing to prove to our Heavenly Father that we love Him? We can tell people we love Him but He can see
in our heart and He knows if we love Him or if we are just giving Him lip
service.
