ONE DAY
“And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on
the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.”
Mark
14:62 KJV
Jim
Hill wrote one of my favorite hymns “What A Day That Will Be”. I love these words. “There'll be no sorrow there, no more burdens
to bear, No more sickness, no pain, no more parting over there; And forever I
will be with the One who died for me, What a day, glorious day that will be.”
I
was discharged today from the visiting nurses coming to my home and while I am
so thankful that I am better, my heart is sad because I won’t see my nurse
anymore. Gail was not only my nurse, she
was also my friend and I will miss her.
It’s hard to say goodbye to people, isn’t it?
It
doesn’t matter if they stop coming to your home like Gail has to stop coming or
if our loved one passes away, it still hurts and we still miss them. One day when our precious Saviour comes back
for us, not only will we be with Him for eternity, we’ll see our loved ones again
and there will be no more parting.
My
Mother died many years ago on Christmas day and we went to the hospital and were
with her until she passed away. O how I
miss her and how I regret the times I disobeyed her and hurt her. One glorious day I will see her again because
she was saved. How I long for the day
when I will see Jesus!
Pastor
J. Wilbur Chapman wrote the hymn “One Day”.
“One day the trumpet will sound for His coming, One day the skies with
His glories will shine; Wonderful day, my belovèd ones bringing; Glorious
Savior, this Jesus is mine!” How I long
for that day!
