DISCOURAGED AND
HEARTBROKEN
“Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane ,
and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder. And he took with him Peter and the two sons
of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding
sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. And he went a little farther, and fell on his
face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass
from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth
them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?”
Matthew
26:36-40 KJV
Have
you ever felt all alone and really believed that nobody loved you or cared
about you? I felt that way for over
forty years. If you are discouraged and
heartbroken, know that Jesus understands how it hurts and He cares about you. Jesus knows how you feel because He too was
discouraged and heartbroken.
Jesus
was human just like we are and He knew when He was crucified on the cross for
your sins and for my sins so that we can be saved and go to Heaven that He was
going to have to endure a pain and an agony that nobody had ever felt before or
ever will feel. O how Jesus loves you
and me!
We
don’t have to be sad, lonely, discouraged and heartbroken any longer because
Jesus came to give us an abundant life. Jesus
said “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am
come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly”
(John 10:10).
Jesus
will carry you in His loving arms until the hurt goes away and will set you
once again on the mountain top of happiness.
