AND THE TEARS FALL
“When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping
which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled, And said,
Where have ye laid him? They said unto
him, Lord, come and see. Jesus
wept. Then said the Jews, Behold how he
loved him!”
John
11:33-36 KJV
Just
as Jesus wept when He saw them weeping, He also weeps when He sees us
crying. Not only did His tears fall
then, His tears fall now when He sees some of the things we do. I believe that He weeps when He sees all the
murders and violence in the world. He loves
us and He died for every person in the world.
Jesus
does not play favorites. He loves each
one of us with the same unconditional love.
Robert Harkness wrote a beautiful hymn about our Saviour’s love for us
“Why Should He Love Me So”. The answer
to why Jesus loves us so much is because not only does Jesus give us love, He
is love, unconditional love.
Jesus
has told us that when we are kind and loving to one another, we are being kind
and loving to Him. We need to be kind
and loving to one another because when we aren’t kind and loving to people, we
are not being kind and loving to Jesus.
Are we being kind and loving to Jesus by our words and actions?
Heavenly
Father, I pray that You will forgive us when we aren’t kind and loving to one
another and to Jesus. If ever someone
deserves to be happy and loved, it is Jesus, the Saviour of the world. O how I love You, Jesus. Thank You, Father, for the privilege of
serving Your Son. In Jesus’ Name, I
pray. Amen.
