HAVE YOU TOLD JESUS
“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary
the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing
that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the
world. But the God of all grace, who
hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have
suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and
ever. Amen.”

Pastor
Elisha Albright Hoffman wrote one of my favorite hymns “I Must Tell
Jesus”. The words in this hymn are so
true. “I must tell Jesus all of my
trials; I cannot bear these burdens alone; In my distress He kindly will help
me; He ever loves and cares for His own”.
O how our precious Saviour loves you and me.
Our
world is full of violence, hatred, drugs, alcohol and other things that hurt
Jesus and break His heart. How we need
Jesus because we can’t make it in this world without Him. The world is filled with too many things that
tempt us to do things we shouldn’t do.
Jesus Himself told us that we need Him.
“Abide
in me, and I in you. As the branch
cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye,
except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye
are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth
much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing” (John 15:4, 5).
What
a privilege and responsibility God has given me to serve the One Who died for
my sins. I love Jesus with all of my
heart and I long for the day when I will see Him face to face. If you are hurting today, tell Jesus and let
Him help you.
