A COLD HEART
“A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put
within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will
give you an heart of flesh.”
Ezekiel
36:26 KJV
Two
of the definitions I found for cold in Webster’s Dictionary are “indifferent;
unconcerned”. Before I was saved, I had
a cold heart. I didn’t care about anyone
or anything. I hated everyone because I
had been abused physically and emotionally.
Jesus gave me a new heart filled with love and compassion.
One
of my favorite hymns is “Since Jesus Passed By”. I love to hear Lynda Randle sing this
beautiful hymn. When Jesus wraps His
arms of compassion and love around us and tenderly whispers to us “I love you”,
it makes a difference in our heart and in our life. We have a reason for living.
Heavenly
Father, what a tender loving compassionate Father You are. Thank You for giving Jesus to die on the
cross for our sins. Jesus, how I love
You. Thank You for dying for me and for
giving me a new heart. Thank You for
never leaving me, not even for a minute.
In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
