IT BREAKS MY HEART
“And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in
swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them
in the inn.”
Luke
2:7 KJV
I
saw a box that had Christmas ornaments in it and the writing on the label was
“Xmas Ornaments”. It makes me angry when
I see the word “Xmas” and it also breaks my heart. Without Jesus, there would be no Christmas so
we should always say “Merry Christmas”, not “Xmas”.
If
it hurts me and breaks my heart to read “Xmas”, I’m sure it also hurts Jesus
and breaks His heart. There was no room
for Him when He was born and the sad thing is that some people still haven’t
made room for Him in their heart and in their life. It is time we stop hurting Jesus.
This
is a Christmas message but when we have Jesus in our heart and in our life,
every day is Christmas. The precious
Baby Jesus didn’t stay a Baby, He grew up and walked that long lonely road to Calvary and allowed them to crucify Him for our
sins. What a compassionate Saviour we
are privileged to have.
Heavenly
Father, I know it also hurts You and breaks Your heart when You see “Merry Xmas”. I pray You will forgive us for not giving
Your Son the respect He deserves. Thank
You for loving us so much You gave Him to die on the cross for our sins. I love You, Heavenly Father. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
