JESUS IS WAITING
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will
give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly
in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Matthew
11:28-30 KJV
Pastor
Charles P. Jones wrote the beautiful inspiring hymn “Come unto Me. “Are you disappointed, wandering here and
there, Dragging chains of doubt and loaded down with care? Do unholy feelings
struggle in your breast? Bring your case to Jesus—He will give you rest.”
It
doesn’t matter how many crises and dark valleys we have to go through, Jesus is
waiting to give us rest. There are times
when we don’t take our burdens to Jesus and then we wonder why we have so many
heartaches. We try to do things by
ourselves but we need Jesus to help us.
We
read in the Bible “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me,
and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do
nothing” (John 15:5). It’s time that we
learn to trust Jesus and lean on Him for support. May God help us to learn on Jesus instead of
trying to do things ourselves.
