HE CARES
“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
1
Peter 5:7
King
James Version
Have
you ever felt that nobody understands you, loves you or cares about you? I have felt that way many times and then I
remembered our Scripture verse. Jesus
really cares about us. He cares when our
heart is breaking and we feel all alone and feel like giving up and going to
bed and staying there.
Pastor
Frank E. Graeff wrote the beautiful heart touching and inspiring hymn “Does
Jesus Care?” “Oh yes, He cares, I know
He cares, His heart is touched with my grief; When the days are weary, the long
nights dreary, I know my Savior cares.”
Jesus cares when our heart is breaking and we feel like we can’t take
another step or give another smile.
I
think a lot of times we get discouraged because we try to do everything by ourselves
and don’t ask Jesus to help us. We read
in the Bible. “I am the vine, ye are the
branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much
fruit: for without me ye can do nothing” (John 15:5).
We
know Jesus loves us and cares about us.
He proved how much He loves us when He allowed them to crucify Him on
the cross for our sins. Does Jesus know
we love Him and care about Him? We can
tell others we care about Him and love Him but He can see in our heart and
He knows if we’re just giving Him lip service. What are we doing to prove to Him we love Him? We need to remember when we are kind and loving to others, we are being kind and loving to Him and when we are not kind and loving to others, we are not being kind and loving to Him and we are breaking His heart.
He knows if we’re just giving Him lip service. What are we doing to prove to Him we love Him? We need to remember when we are kind and loving to others, we are being kind and loving to Him and when we are not kind and loving to others, we are not being kind and loving to Him and we are breaking His heart.
We
read in the Bible. “And the King shall
answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it
unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me” (Matthew
25:40). Jesus has not been here for over
two thousand years. He has left us to
hug for Him.
When
is the last time you hugged someone for Jesus?
You may not be comfortable hugging people but you can hug them with your
words. When is the last time you told
your family and friends you love them?
All of us need to know we are loved.
If Jesus didn’t tell me every day that He loves me, it would break my
heart.
Several
years ago when I lived in Texas, one of my pastors said in a sermon about
loving others and telling them that his uncle had raised him and he was going
to tell his uncle how much he loved him and appreciated all he had done for him
but he kept putting it off and his uncle died before my pastor told him.
Don’t
let that happen to you. Tell your pastor
and your family and loved ones that you love and appreciate them. Don’t put it off like my pastor did until it
was too late. I dearly love my
sister. She has done so much for
me. I love my Pastor, Pastor J
Harold Davis. I love my best friend,
Judye and I have many other friends I love and I tell them I love them.
Don’t forget your spouse and your
children and grandchildren. When is the
last time you told them you love them?
Don’t be like the man who said “My wife should know I love her. I married her”. If Jesus didn’t tell me every day that He
loves me, it would break my heart.
Heavenly Father, help us to love
one another unconditionally as Jesus loves us and prove it to them by our kind
and loving actions. Please be with my
Pastor and encourage him. Protect him
and let him know how much You love and appreciate him. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
