HAVE WE THANKED HIM

“The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.”

Jeremiah 31:3 KJV

We ask Him for many things many times but how often do we thank Him?  Have we thanked Him for what He has done for us?  The most important thing we need to thank Him for is for loving us so much that He willingly died on the cross for our sins and paid the price for our sins that we could never have paid.

There are times when we pray for years for something and when He answers our prayers, we sometimes thank Him only one time.  I find myself thanking Him many times for loving me.  Jesus loved me when nobody else loved me because I was very unlovable and filled with anger and hatred for everybody.

He not only loved me when nobody else loved me, He gave me a new heart, a heart filled with compassion for others.  Does this mean I am perfect and never do anything wrong?  Of course not, all of us hurt Jesus at times but He still loves us.  There was only one perfect person who ever lived and His Name is Jesus!

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving us unconditionally and for giving Jesus to die for our sins.  I love You, Heavenly Father.  I love You, Jesus.  I love You, Holy Spirit.  Thank You, dear Jesus, for loving me when I was so unlovable and for dying for my sins.  In Jesus’ Name, I pray.  Amen.
