ALL THE TIME

“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.  And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.  And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”

I didn’t put up any Christmas decorations last month because my hands and arms are still hurting because I fell two months ago and my family has moved away.  I don’t need to put them up because for me it is Christmas in my heart every day.  The love and joy that Jesus gives us is in my heart all the time.

There is nothing and nobody that can take the unconditional love Jesus has for us away from us.  His love is everlasting and unending.  “The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee” (Jeremiah 31:3).

You may have taken the Christmas decorations down and put them away until next Christmas but did you also put the kindness and love away until we celebrate Christmas next year?  If so, I urge you to show the same love and kindness to your family and friends all year long.

A child said “My parents are kind to me at Christmas and I get gifts but the rest of the year they ignore me”.  I am so glad that Jesus never ignores us and that He is with us all the time and all we have to do is ask Him to help us and He will be faithful to help us.  Let’s show the love of Christmas all the time.
