DO WE DO IT
“Praise ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants of the LORD, praise the
name of the LORD. Blessed be the name of
the LORD from this time forth and for evermore.
From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD'S
name is to be praised.”
Psalms
113:1-3 KJV
Bill
Gaither wrote the beautiful hymn “Let's Just Praise the Lord”. “Just the precious name of Jesus is worthy of
our praise, Let us bow our knees before Him, our hands to heaven raise; When He
comes in clouds of glory, with Him to ever reign, Let's just lift our happy
voices, and praise His name.” Do we do
it?
How
often do we praise Him? If we spend more
time during the day complaining about things than we do praising Him, we are
hurting Him and breaking His heart. If
ever someone deserved to complain about things, it is Jesus when He was here on
His mission.
Katherine
Hankey wrote one of my favorite hymns “I Love to Tell the Story”. “I love to tell the story of unseen things
above, Of Jesus and His glory, of Jesus and His love. I love to tell the story, because I know ’tis
true; It satisfies my longings as nothing else can do.” Are we telling the world about Jesus?
Fanny
Crosby wrote the beautiful hymn “Tell Me the Story of Jesus”. “Tell me the story of Jesus, Write on my
heart every word. Tell me the story most precious, Sweetest that ever was
heard.” There are many people who need
to hear about Jesus. May we be found
faithful telling the story of Jesus.
If
you’re not telling the story of Jesus, why aren’t you? After all that Jesus has done for us, we
should be eager to tell everyone what a precious Saviour we have.
