SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
Romans
10:17 KJV
The
happiest time of my life was when I was able to kneel beside my bed and read my
Bible out loud and pray. I can’t kneel
anymore because of my arthritis.
However, there is more to showing respect to our Heavenly Father than just
kneeling physically, we also need to kneel in our heart to Him.
There
is a spiritual exercise we can do that not only helps us, it also makes Jesus
happy. When we get in a stressful
situation, we can do this spiritual exercise.
Say “Je” as you breathe in and “sus” as you breathe out. Saying His precious Name will not only help
us, it will also make Him happy.
Another
exercise we can do is to forgive people because it not only helps us to get our
heart right with God, it also makes Jesus happy. We read in the Bible. “This is my commandment, That ye love one
another, as I have loved you” (John 15:12).
Do we love others unconditionally as Jesus has commanded us?
We
can also be an encouragement to others, especially to our pastors. “So the carpenter encouraged the goldsmith,
and he that smootheth with the hammer him that smote the anvil, saying, It is
ready for the sodering: and he fastened it with nails, that it should not be
moved” (Isaiah 41:7).
May
God help us to let others see and hear the unconditional love of Jesus in
us. My heart’s desire is to make Jesus
happy. He has done so much for me. I love Him with all my heart and one day I
will have the privilege of seeing Him face to face. Are you ready to meet Jesus if He comes back
for us today?
