HIS COMPASSIONATE
LOVE
“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
1
Peter 5:7
King
James Version
Pastor
Alfred Barratt wrote the hymn “No One Loves You So”. I’m so glad the words in this hymn are true. “Do you think in your sorrow you suffer
alone? All your grief and your sadness to Him are made known; He hath never
forsaken or turned from His own; There is no one who loves you so.”
Think
about it. Jesus left His Father, His
home and all that He had to come to earth to die on the cross for your sins and
for my sins. What kind of love is
this? It is a tender loving
compassionate love that can only come from the heart of Jesus. As the words in this hymn say “He hath never
forsaken or turned from His own”.
Jesus
not only allowed them to nail Him to the cross, beat Him beyond recognition,
curse Him and reject Him, He also asked His Father to forgive us while still
hanging on the cross with the blood flowing down His body. We only have a little grasp of how much Jesus
loves us.
I
have a sister I love very much. I have a
Pastor I love very much. I love my best
friend, Judye, very much. They have been
so kind and loving to me but they couldn’t take my sins away. Only the blood that Jesus shed for my sins
could take my sins away. What a loving
compassionate Saviour we are privileged to have.
Pastor
Robert Lowry wrote one of my favorite hymns “Nothing but the Blood”. The words in this beautiful hymn are so true. “This is all my hope and peace, Nothing but
the blood of Jesus; This is all my righteousness, Nothing but the blood of
Jesus.”
We
read in the Bible “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my
voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he
with me” (Revelation 3:20). Have you
confessed your sins, asked God to forgive you and invited Jesus into your heart
to be your personal Saviour?
If
not, I urge you, I plead with you to say yes to Jesus before it is too
late. One day it will be too late. Invite Him into your heart now! Don’t miss out on spending eternity in Heaven
with Jesus. O how He loves you. You are so precious to Him and He really
cares about you.
