IT HAS TO STOP

“This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.”

I just heard on the news that a little girl had been beaten and abused by her mother.  It has to stop!  Jesus didn’t say He wished we would love one another as He loves us.  Jesus said it is His commandment.  What makes people beat children and kill people and abuse their spouses?

When a baby is born, there is a lot of happiness in the home.  The baby isn’t born hating people.  The baby has to learn how to hate people and abuse people.  I don’t think we fully realize how much anguish and excruciating pain that Jesus endured on the cross for us so we can live a happy life.

We read in the Bible.  “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).  Jesus wants us to have a happy and an abundant life.  We will never have a happy life if we don’t love one another as He loves us.

Heavenly Father, I pray for every family.  Please fill their home first of all with love for You and with love for one another.  I pray the children will see and hear their parents laughing and telling them about Jesus.  May their homes be filled with unconditional love for one another.  Please protect the children.  In Jesus’ Name, I pray.  Amen.
