HOW FAITHFUL
“It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his
compassions fail not. They are new every
morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
Lamentations
3:22, 23
King
James Version
PastorThomas
O. Chisholm wrote one of my favorite hymns “Great is Thy Faithfulness”. “Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father; There
is no shadow of turning with Thee; Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they
fail not; As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be.”
We
have a faithful and compassionate loving Heavenly Father Who loves us no matter
how many times we hurt Him and fail Him.
He proves His faithfulness to us every day because He takes care of
us. How faithful are we to Him? When He tells us to do something, do we do it
right away or do we wait until it is convenient for us?
May
God help us to be faithful to Him by telling everyone of the unconditional love
of Jesus. There are many people who are
hurting and discouraged but they smile because they don’t want people to
know. Let’s become encouragers to one
another. Encouraging people is one the
most important things we can do.
We
read in the Bible “They helped every one his neighbour; and every one said to
his brother, Be of good courage. So the carpenter encouraged the goldsmith, and
he that smootheth with the hammer him that smote the anvil, saying, It is ready
for the sodering: and he fastened it with nails, that it should not be moved” (Isaiah
41:6, 7).
I
don’t think we realize how important it is to encourage others. It is very important and almost urgent that
we are an encouragement to our pastors. I
praise and thank God for my Pastor, Pastor J Harold Davis, who not only says he
loves Jesus but proves it by his actions.
I
have received emails from pastors who were so discouraged they were thinking of
leaving the church. Please pray for your
pastor and family and encourage them.
Your pastor gets discouraged just like you do and he needs to know that
he is appreciated.
Heavenly
Father, thank You for Your faithfulness to us.
I love You so much and I appreciate all You have done for me. Thank You for adopting me and for the
privilege You have given me to serve Your beloved Son. Please comfort and encourage all who are
hurting. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
