HOW MUCH
“So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of
Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou
knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. He saith to him again the second time, Simon,
son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I
love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me?
Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And
he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee.
Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.”

King
James Version
There
are times when I don’t feel like making my bed and I just pull the bedspread up
over the pillow but the sheets are wrinkled.
I think there times when we do the same thing with our heart. We pretend everything is okay but it’s not
okay. We can put on a good show for
people but Jesus sees into our heart.
There
are times when we allow resentment, bitterness, sarcasm and unforgiveness to
remain in our heart. If we will listen
with our heart, we will hear Jesus asking us “How much do you love Me?” We can tell Him that we love Him with all our
heart but He can see into our heart and He knows if we really love Him?
May
God help us to love one another unconditionally as Jesus has commanded us to
love one another. If Jesus doesn’t have
first place in our heart, in our life and in everything we do, we are hurting
Him and breaking His heart. How much do
you love Him and what are you doing to prove to Him you love Him?
