HIS ARMS ARE OPEN

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Matthew 11:28-30 KJV

Jesus is not only telling us to come to Him, His arms are open and waiting for us.  When we invite Jesus into our heart to be our personal Saviour, He breaks the yoke of bondage that satan has on us and sets us free.  He not only sets us free, He draws us close to Him and never leaves us.  What a precious Saviour!

His arms are open to us and so is His heart.  He loves us so much He died on the cross for our sins so we can be saved and live forever in Heaven with Him.  Hopefully, we have had and will have a lot of happy days but no happiness on earth can compare with the happiness and joy we will have when He comes back.

Jim Hill wrote the hymn “What A Day That Will Be”.  I love these beautiful words.  “What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see, And I look upon His face, The One Who saved me by His grace, When He takes me by the hand and leads me through the Promised Land, What a day, glorious day that will be.”

How I long for the day when I will see my precious Saviour face to face.  I’m going to give Him the biggest hug I have ever given anyone and try to tell Him how much I love Him and appreciate Him.  Do you realize what a privilege it is to be loved by the Saviour of the world?  O how He loves you!

Heavenly Father, thank You for giving Jesus to us to not only be our Saviour, but also to be our best Friend.  I pray for those who aren’t saved.  In Jesus’ Name, I pray.  Amen.
