A HAPPY DAY
“And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give
every man according as his work shall be.
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.”
Revelation
22:12,13 KJV
I
use a lot of hymns in my devotions because we are instructed in the Bible to do
so. “Serve the LORD with gladness: come
before his presence with singing” (Psalms 100:2). Rev. Martin W. Knapp wrote the beautiful hymn
“Quickly Coming”. I love the words in
this inspiring hymn.
“Soon
skies will rend and Christ descend, And every eye behold Him, While angels
bright in clouds of light, In majesty enfold Him; His trumpet sound will soon
resound, Thro’ earth and Heaven ringing, His dead will wake, His bride He’ll
take,To marriage supper bringing.”
Jim
Hill wrote one of my favorite hymns “What A Day That Will Be”. “What a day that will be when my Jesus I
shall see, And I look upon His face, The One who saved me by His grace; When He
takes me by the hand And leads me through the Promised Land, What a day,
glorious day that will be.”
Are
you ready to meet Jesus if He comes back today?
Pastor Charles A. Tindley wrote “Nothing Between”. “Nothing between my soul and the Savior, So
that His blessèd face may be seen; Nothing preventing the least of His favor; Keep
the way clear! Let nothing between.”
No
happiness we’ve ever known can compare to the happiness we will feel when we
see Jesus face to face. Think about
it. We are going to have the privilege
of seeing our precious Saviour face to face.
Are you shouting with happiness?
