I AM STILL HERE

“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”

Hebrews 13:5 KJV

Someone said “Everyone I thought was my friend has left me”.  Have you ever felt like nobody loved you or cared about you?  I used to feel I was all alone.  If you will listen with your heart, you will hear Jesus say “I am still here.”  Ludie D. Pickett wrote one of my favorite hymns “Never Alone”.

The words in this inspiring hymn have encouraged me many times.  “When in affliction’s valley I tread the road of care, My Savior helps me carry The cross so heavy to bear; Though all around me is darkness, Earthly joys all flown; My Savior whispers His promise, Never to leave me alone!”

We will be celebrating the birthday of our Saviour this month and for some people Christmas will also be a sad time because their loved ones have died.  However, we have our Saviour’s promise that He will never leave us.  What a precious promise to us from the heart of our compassionate and loving Saviour.
