 PEACE

"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."

Luke 2:14
King James Version

We will never have peace on earth unless we start loving one another unconditionally as Jesus has commanded us to love one another. It is not a suggestion. He gave us this commandment.

Jesus gives us this commandment in the Bible. "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another." John 13:34

Loving one another is not an option, it is a commandment from our Saviour.  Can you honestly say that you love unconditionally all the time? I can't because there are times when someone says or does something to hurt me that I have to ask Jesus to help me keep my big mouth shut.

Heavenly Father, please help us to love each other unconditionally as Jesus has commanded us to love each other. Thank You for adopting me into Your family. I love You and appreciate all You have done for me. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 ONE HAPPY AND JOYOUS DAY

"And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof."

Revelation 21:23
King James Version

We are living in a world that is filled with violence and all other things that hurt God and break His heart. One day if we have admitted we are sinners, asked God to forgive us and invited Jesus in our heart we will go to Heaven and be with Jesus forever. This is going to be a day of rejoicing and happiness.

Rev. W. H. Berry wrote a beautiful hymn "MY HEAVENLY HOME" "There’s a land where ’tis morning forever, And no clouds ever darken the sky; Those who meet in that land naught can sever; There true friendship and love never die.

There the river of life, ever flowing, Keeps the hills and the vales bright and fair; And the Savior, His presence bestowing, Fills with bliss every heart that is there."

Thank You, dear Jesus.  I love You so much and I long for the day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.  Thank You for loving me even when I sometimes am unkind to people.

 OUR LIGHT

"And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof."

Revelation 21:23
King James Version

Several years ago when I lived in Texas one of my pastors said "We were in a cave and it was so dark that I couldn't see my hands". It doesn't matter how dark it gets because Jesus is our light.

One happy and joyous day when Jesus comes back to take us to Heaven we will be with Him for all eternity. Are you going to go with Jesus when He comes back for us?

Has there ever been a time in your life when you admitted you are a sinner, asked God to forgive you and invited Jesus into your heart to be your personal Saviour? If not, I urge you to say yes to Jesus even while reading this devotion.

We don't know when He is coming back for us but He is coming for us. What a happy and joyous day that will be. Every time I think about seeing Jesus face to face I get excited.

Carrie E. Breck wrote a hymn that makes me shout with happiness whenever I sing it or hear it sung "FACE TO FACE WITH CHRIST, MY SAVIOR".

"Face to face with Christ, my Savior, Face to face—what will it be, When with rapture I behold Him, Jesus Christ who died for me?

Only faintly now I see Him, With the darkened veil between, But a blessèd day is coming, When His glory shall be seen.

What rejoicing in His presence, When are banished grief and pain; When the crooked ways are straightened, And the dark things shall be plain."

Are you shouting with happiness yet? Think about it. Jesus, the "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS" is coming back for us and we will be with Him in Heaven for all eternity.

I love You so much, dear Jesus. Every time I think about You dying for me and loving me when I was so hateful and selfish, I am filled with joy and happiness to think that You love me so much.

Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins and paying the price that I could never have paid. You are the best Friend anyone could ever have. Other people leave us but You never leave us. Thank You, dear Jesus, for everything You have done for me.

 TRUST JESUS

"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."

John 14:1-3
King James Version

We put more trust in a chair than we do in our precious Saviour. When we sit down in a chair we don't stop to wonder if the chair will hold us or if we will fall. O that you and I would put our trust in Jesus because He will never fail us.

Pauline Sadler wrote a hymn about our precious Saviour "ONLY TRUST IN JESUS" I love the words in this beautiful hymn.

"When the way is dark and dreary, And your path would lead astray, If you’ll only trust in Jesus, He will guide you all the way.

He’ll go with you, He’ll go with you, He’ll go with you to the end; In your joy or in your sorrow, He will be your dearest friend.

When your heart is sad and lonely, And your grief is hard to bear, If you’ll only trust in Jesus, He will all your sorrows share."

Jesus, I love You so much and I long for the day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face. What a day of happiness and joy that is going to be.

Carrie E. Breck wrote one of my favorite hymns "FACE TO FACE WITH CHRIST, MY SAVIOR". Every time I hear this heart touching and inspiring hymn or sing it I have tears of happiness and joy running down my face.

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving us so much You gave Your beloved Son to die on the cross for our sins. I love You and appreciate all You have done for me. Thank You for adopting me into Your family. In Jesus Name, I pray. Amen.

 ARE WE FOLLOWING

"And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men."

Matthew 4:19

King James Version

Rev. William Orcutt Cushing wrote one of my favorite hymns "Follow On". Are we doing what we sing in this hymn?

"Down in the valley with my Saviour I would go, Where the flowers are blooming and the sweet waters flow; Everywhere he leads me I would follow, follow on, Walking in his footsteps till the crown be won.

Follow, follow, I will follow Jesus, Anywhere, everywhere, I will follow on; Follow, follow, I will follow Jesus, Everywhere he leads me I will follow on."

Are you following Jesus? Does He have first place in your heart, in your time and in all that you do? If not, you are hurting Him and breaking His heart. After all that our Saviour has done for us He deserves to be first.

 ARE THEY

"Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer."

Psalms 19:14
King James Version

I don't know about you but there are times when I say something or do something that hurts someone and I don't want to do that because it hurts Jesus and breaks His heart.

We read in the Bible. " And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." Matthew 25:40

Our tender loving and compassionate Saviour gives us this commandment . "This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you." John 15:12

Can we honestly say that we always love one another unconditionally as He has commanded us to love each other?

Heavenly Father, please forgive me for the times when I say something or do something that hurts someone. I'm sorry. I don't do it on purpose. I just try to do things without Jesus at times and I always fail.

Please help me to keep my big mouth shut when I'm tempted to say something that will hurt someone. Help me to be kind and to always love one another unconditionally as our precious Saviour has commanded us to love one another. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 OUR BEST FRIEND

"Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you."

John 15:15
King James Version

Alfred Barratt wrote a beautiful heart touching and inspiring hymn "LET JESUS BE YOUR FRIEND".

"In the gloomy days of toil and strife, Wheresoever Satan’s snares are rife, When ’tis hard to bear the cares of life, Let Jesus be your friend."

Yes, Jesus is the best Friend we will ever have. He will never leave us or hurt us. Do you realize what a privilege it is to be loved by the Saviour of the world and by our Heavenly Father and to be part of God's family?

We don't deserve such unconditional love, compassion and tenderness. O how our Heavenly Father and Jesus love us!

Heavenly Father, I pray You will please comfort and encourage all who are going through dark valleys and those who don't feel good.

Thank You for loving us so much You gave Your beloved Son to die on the cross for our sins.

Please comfort, heal and encourage my beloved Pastor. Thank You for everything. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 AND JESUS CRIES

"When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled, And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see. Jesus wept. Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!"

John 11:33-36
King James Version

Jesus doesn't play favorites like we sometimes do with people. He died on the cross for every one of us and He loves all of us even when we sometimes hurt Him and break His heart.

I heard on the news about a deputy being shot and killed. I listened as a married couple were saying cruel words to one another. When any of us hurt, Jesus also hurts.

He wants us to be happy. If He didn't love us unconditionally and care about all of us, He would never have allowed them to crucify Him for something He had not done.

You might wonder why did Jesus come. We read the answer in the Bible. "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10

Have you allowed it to go from head knowledge to heart knowledge how much Jesus loves you? He left His Father, His home and all that He had to come to earth and die on the cross so you can be saved and go to Heaven to live with Him when you die.

You might wonder why I keep saying over and over "no one loves you like Jesus loves you and no one ever will." It is because for over forty years I believed nobody loved me or cared if I lived or died.

When I was in school some of the students told me many times that I was ugly and stupid and had no right to live. After hearing that so many times I believed it. However, that was a lie straight from the pits of hell because Jesus loves all of us.

Jesus, thank You for loving me when I was so unlovely and for giving me a new heart filled with compassion and love. I love You, dear Jesus. I long for the day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face. I am going to give You the biggest hug and never let You go. Thank You again for all You have done for me.

 SINGING OR COMPLAINING

"Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing."

Psalms 100:2
King James Version

I wonder how often we go to Him with singing and praises for all He has done for us. I think there are times when we treat our precious Saviour like we do a puppet. We put Him on a shelf and take Him down when we need something.

How we must hurt our precious Saviour and break His heart. He gave His life so you and I can be saved and there are times when we don't even give Him the praise He deserves.

If ever someone deserves to be praised and adored, it is Jesus! He is the "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS"! May God help us to give Him the praise He so richly deserves.

If we can take time to ask Him for something then we need to take time to praise and thank our precious Saviour for everything He has done for us. May God have mercy on us and forgive us if we are hurting His beloved Son.

 CALLING AND WAITING

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."

Revelation 3:20
King James Version

Fanny Crosby wrote the beautiful heart touching hymn "JESUS IS TENDERLY CALLING YOU HOME". For some people Jesus has been calling them to accept Him as their personal Saviour and has been waiting for years for them to open the door of their heart and let Him come in to be their Saviour.

I love the words in this hymn.
"Jesus is tenderly calling you home Calling today, calling today, Why from the sunshine of love will you roam, Farther and farther away?

Jesus is waiting, O come to Him now, Waiting today, waiting today, Come with your sins, at His feet lowly bow; Come, and no longer delay."

Will you open the door of your heart today and let Him come in to be your Saviour? If you are saved, are you serving Him? Jesus deserves our heart, our life, our time and all that we have. O how I love Jesus! He is the joy of my heart and the reason I'm living.

 OUR PRECIOUS SAVIOUR

"And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him."

Luke 2:40
King James Version

Our precious Saviour went to the cross and shed His own blood so you and I could be saved. Why did God give His beloved Son to die on the cross for our sins? It is because He loves us.

Jesus told us why He came. We read in John 10:10. "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

Jesus wants us be be happy and to go to Heaven when we die. We don't know when Jesus is coming back for us but He is coming back for us. Are you ready to meet Him if He should come back while you are reading this devotion? If not, I urge you to give your heart and life to Jesus right now.

Jesus paid the price for your sins so you can go to Heaven. Please don't put it off any longer. If you have never asked God to forgive you for your sins and invited Jesus into your heart to be your personal Saviour, I urge you to do it right now.

How sid it will be and how it would break our Saviour's heart if you aren't ready to meet Him when He comes back for us. Say yes to Jesus even as you read this devotion. Please don't keep breaking His heart.

 ARE YOU FOLLWING

"Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."

John 8:12
King James Version

Are you following Jesus? There are times when we are sad and discouraged when we don't have to be because we take our eyes off Jesus and put them on the world and our circumstances and on people. Jesus is the only One Who can give us a happy and victorious life.

Squire Parsons wrote the beautiful heart touching and inspiring hymn "He Came To Me". I love these words.

"The gulf that separated me from Christ, my Lord, It was so vast the crossing I could never ford; From where I was to His domain, it seemed so far, I cried, "Dear Lord, I cannot come to where you are."

He came to me, O, He came to me. When I could not come to where He was, He came to me. That's why He died on Calvary, When I could not come to where He was, He came to me.

He came to me when I was bound in chains of sin, He came to me when I possessed no hope within, He picked me up and He drew me gently to His side, Where, today, in His sweet love I now abide."

Yes, Jesus came to me as I lay under a bed in a mental hospital where I had crawled because I was afraid of everything and everyone. I had been told for several years that I was no good and didn't have a right to live. After I heard this for several years I began to believe it.

One happy day, Jesus came to me as I lay under that bed and He put His loving arms around me and said "I love you, Joanne. I won't let anyone hurt you again. It's safe to come out from under that bed".

There are no words to describe the happiness that I felt when Jesus told me that He loves me. Are you telling people that Jesus loves them? Are you an encourager to others? If not, you are hurting Jesus and breaking His heart.

If ever someone deserves to be happy, it is Jesus. He is the "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS" and one happy joyous day we will see Him when He comes back for us.

Are you ready to meet Him if He comes back for us even while you are reading this devotion? If not, I urge you to give your heart and life to Jesus before it is too late!

He has proved how much He loves you. What are you doing to prove to Him that you love Him?

 GOD’S FLU SHOT

“A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.”

Proverbs 15:13
King James Version

When the electricity was off after Hurricane Dennis hit us last month, many of my neighbors came bringing ice, water, and food. They know that I don’t have a car and am unable to get these things. Since the hurricane, I have only had one neighbor contact me.

We take our children to get shots to prevent measles, chicken pox, and other diseases. All of us need a shot of friendship and encouragement every day of our lives. The person who says that he or she does not need anyone is not being truthful.

When people email you, call you, or come visit you, then your heart rejoices and you go through your day with a lighter heart. It is not really that person that makes you feel happier, it is the Love of Jesus put into action by that person who made a special effort to contact you.

Are you giving others God’s Flu Shot of happiness and encouragement, or are you giving them satan’s flu shot of sorrow and discouragement?

I wrote this devotion on August 11, 2005, seventeen years ago.

 EVERY MINUTE

"Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually."

1 Cronicles 16:11
King James Version

I don't know about you but I need Jesus every minute. I have tried to make decisions and do things without first asking Him for help and I failed every time. Jesus has told us that we can't do anything without Him.

We read in the Bible. "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing." (John 15:5)

Precious Jesus, thank You for loving us and for Your willingness to help us and for never leaving us. You are indeed a faithful Friend. You are the best Friend we will ever have. I love You and appreciate all You have done for me.

 IT REALLY HAPPENED

"And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost."

Luke 23:46
King James Version

It really happened. They really did spit on Jesus, mock Him and crucify Him on the cross for something He hadn't done. Jesus allowed them to crucify Him so you and I could be saved and go to Heaven.

One day if you have confessed your sins and invited Jesus into your heart to be your personal Saviour, you will go to Heaven when you die. Are you going to be with Jesus when you die?

If you have never invited Him into your heart to be your personal Saviour, I urge you to do it even while you are reading this devotion.

 THE MOST IMPORTANT DECISION

"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;"

Titus 3:5,6
King James Version

The most important decision you will ever make is to accept Jesus as your personal Saviour. Jesus was beaten beyond recognition, spat on, cursed, mocked, they plucked His beard and He died all alone on the cross for your sins and for my sins.

I have said this countless times and I will keep saying it until God calls me to Heaven. No one loves you like Jesus loves you and nobody ever will. What a privilege it is to be loved by the Saviour of the world.

We know He loves us. He proved how much He loves us when He died on the cross for us. What are we doing to prove to Him how much we love Him? Do you love Him? Have you told Him you love Him? If ever someone deserves to be loved and adored it is Jesus, the Saviour of the world!

 NEVER GIVES UP

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:"

1 Peter 5:8

King James Version

It makes satan very angry when we serve Jesus. Even when we go to bed, he attacks us with bad dreams. Last night when I went to bed, satan tried to discourage me from serving Jesus. Of course, satan didn't win and he never will win the battle because Jesus defeated stan on the cross but it still hurts when satan attacks us.

I don't know about you but I need Jesus every minue. Do you realize what a privilege it is to be loved by the Saviour of the world? O how much He loves you.

If you're going through a dark valley or crisis, tell Jesus. He will pick you up in His loving compassionate arms and will carry you until the pain goes away. Thank You, precious Jesus, for everything.

 DID THEY TELL HIM

"This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you."

John 15:12
King James Version

I watched a funeral on television for a man who had been in politics for a long time. As I listened to all the wonderful tributes to him I wondered if they told him while he was alive how much he was loved and respected?

We need to tell people that we love them. Don't be like the man who said
"I don't have to tell my wife I love her. She should know I love her because I married her".

It would break my heart if Jesus didn't tell me every day that He loves me. I can't do anything without Jesus. Have you told Jesus how much you love Him? Do you love Him? If you do love Him, what are you doing for Him?

Luke 23:33,34
King James Version

It really happened. They really did crucfy and curse our Saviour, spit on Him, mock Him and they also beat Him beyond recognition.

 JESUS KNOWS

"For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish."

Psalms 1:6
King James Version

We might be able to fool our family and friends by pretending everything is okay but Jesus can see in our heart and He knows when we are sad and hurting and He cares.

Nobody loves us like Jesus loves us and nobody ever will. What a privilege it is to be loved by the Saviour of the world. If we have invited Jesus into our heart to be our Saviour, we will spend eternity in Heaven with Him.

What about You? Have you confessed your sins and asked God to forgive you? Don't miss out on spending eternity in Heaven with the One who loves you so much He died on the cross for you and suffered pain and agony that you and I will never know.

 JESUS UNDERSTANDS

"She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more."

John 8:11
King James Version

Our enemy, satan, does his best to discourage us and also tempts us to do and say things that hurt Jesus. We need to understand that Jesus does not condemn us. He tells us to go and sin no more.

If you have said or done something to hurt someone or you have allowed unforgiveness, resentment, jealousy and bitterness to remain in your heart, God will forgive you if you repent and tell Him you're sorry.

Ask Jesus to help you be quiet when you are tempted to say something that will hurt someone. Remember, Jesus said that we are to love one another unconditionally as He loves us.

 HIS WONDERFUL NAME

"And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins."

Matthew 1:21
King James Version

Jean Perry wrote the beautiful inspiring and heart touching hymn about our precious Saviour "THAT BEAUTIFUL NAME". I love the words in this hymn and they are so true.

"1 I know of a Name, A beautiful Name, That angels brought down to earth; They whispered it low, One night long ago, To a maiden of lowly birth.

That beautiful Name, that beautiful Name, From sin has power to free us! That beautiful Name, that wonderful Name, That matchless Name is Jesus!"

We read in the Bible "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)

Jesus is our Saviour and He shed His own blood on the cross so you and I can be saved and go to Heaven when we die.

I heard a preacher say on television that it was because of him that this man was saved. That is a lie straight from the pits of hell. Jesus is our Saviour and the only Saviour and He loves us unconditionally.

Thank You, dear Jesus, for loving us and for dying for us. I love You so much and one happy joyous day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face. I am going to give You a big hug and spend all eternity telling You how much I love You and how wonderful You are.

"I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him."

 JESUS REALLY CARES

"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

John 10:10
King James Version

Jesus really cares and loves us because if He didn't care and love us unconditionally, He would never have allowed them to crucify Him on the cross for our sins.

We read this (in the Bible "Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father." (John 10:17, 18)

Ray Overholt wrote a heart touching inspiring hymn about our Saviour "Ten Thousand Angels". I love the words in this hymn.

"They bound the hands of Jesus In the garden where He prayed; They led Him through the streets in shame. They spat upon the Saviour so pure and free from sin; They said, “Crucify Him; He’s to blame.

He could have called ten thousand angels To destroy the world and set Him free. He could have called ten thousand angels, But He died alone, for you and me."

Is it any wonder why I have said so many times and will keep saying it until God calls me home to Heaven. No love loves us like our Heavenly Father and Jesus love us and nobody ever will.

Their love is unconditional and unending. They loved us yesterday. They love us today and They will love us forever.

I love You dear Heavenly Father. I love You, precious Jesus. I love You Holy Spirit. Father, please comfort and encourage all who need to be comforted and encouraged. Thank You.

Have you opened the door to your heart and let Jesus come in to be your Saviour? For some people He has been knocking at the door of their heart for years and they haven't opened the door to let Him come in.

Please don't keep Jesus standing at the door of your heart any longer. After all that He has done for us, He deserves to not only come in to our heart but also to have first place in our heart. Does Jesus have first place in your heart?

 IT WAS FOR US

"Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:"

Acts 2:23
King James Version

Pastor Baylus B. McKinney wrote the beautiful heart touching hymn "THE NAIL-SCARRED HAND". Every one of us needs to answer this question.

"Have you failed in your plan of your storm-tossed life? Place your hand in the nail-scarred hand; Are you weary and worn from its toil and strife? Place your hand in the nail-scarred hand."

What about you? Have you placed your hand in the nail-scarred hand of our loving Saviour? I don't know about you but there are days when my arthritis and gout hurt so much I can't get out of bed without Jesus helping me.

Thank You, Jesus, for caring about us and for loving us even when we do things or say things that hurt You. I love You and I appreciate all You have done for me. Thank You for the many times You have comforted and encouraged me.

 OUR LOVING SAVIOUR

"Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah."

Psalms 32:7
King James Version

L. R. Tolbert wrote a beautiful hymn about our Saviour "HIDE THOU ME"  I love the words in this heart touching hymn.  "Sometimes I feel discouraged, And think my life in vain; I’m tempted then to murmur, And of my lot complain; But when I think of Jesus, And all He’s done for me, Then I cry, O Rock of Ages, Hide Thou me."

Even if I had all eternity to tell you what Jesus has done for me, it wouldn't be enough time. Jesus loved me when I was so unlovely. He took my hardened heart out and gave me a heart filled with love and compassion.

Yes, our loving Saviour loves us and He loves us even when we hurt Him. I have said this many times and I will keep saying it until God calls me home to Heaven. No one loves you like God and Jesus love you and nobody ever wil love us like They love us.

Their love is unconditional and unending. They loved us yesterday. They love us today and They will love us forever. I love You, Heavenly Father. I love You, Jesus. I love You Holy Spirit.

 ALL WE NEED

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

John 3:16
King James Version

Our Heavenly Father loves us so much He sent His beloved Son into the world to die on the cross for our sins and Jesus is all we need. Nothing we could have done would have satisfied God because He is holy and He can't look on sin. It took His Son to pay the price for our sins. Thank God for the blood of Jesus that washes away our sins. O how God and Jesus love you.

 DID YOU ANSWER

"Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me."

Isaiah 6:8
King James Version

Have you answered the call of Jesus to serve Him? He calls everyone of us to serve Him. He may not call us to be a pastor, a Sunday school teacher or to a position within the church but He calls everyone of us to serve Him.

Are you serving Him? You may not be called to be a missionary in another country or to a position in the church but He calls everyone of us to serve Him right where we live.

There are people who will go to another country, drive to another state or across town but neglect to encourage those who live around them. We need to be encouraging everyone who lives around us and reassure them that Jesus loves them.

Joyce Landorf Heatherley, a speaker and author, says on one of her teaching tapes about the people we sit next to in church "They look fine and they look darling but inside they are hurting".

What about your pastor? Are you an encouragement to your pastor? Have you said thank you to your pastor for all your pastor has done for you?

Pastors sometimes get up in the middle of the night to go to the hospital and be with someone who is sick.

I received an email several years ago from a pastor who was discouraged and brokenhearted who wrote "I was called to serve in a new church and nobody ever said anything kind and encouraging to me or to my wife or children while we were there".

One day all of us will stand before God and give an account of how we treated His beloved Son and our pastor. I don't know about you but I don't want to have to hang my head in shame because I didn't love and encourage Jesus and my pastor.

How do we encourage Jesus? We encourage Jesus by being kind and loving to one another. Jesus has told us to love one another as He loves us. It is not an option to love one another unconditionally as He loves us. It is a commandment from Jesus.

We read in the Bible. "This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you." John 15:12.  Can you honestly say you always love unconditionally? I can't because there are times when someone hurts me that I get upset and either say something that is not kind or think something in my heart that hurts Jesus and then I have to ask God to forgive me.

Let's make a special effort to make Jesus happy by loving one another unconditionally jist as He loves us. If ever someone deserves to be happy, it is Jesus. He is the "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS"

I love You, dear Jesus and I appreciate all that You have done for me and all that You do for me every day.
