RED AND WHITE "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." Isaiah 1:18 King James Version Rev. Robert Lowry wrote the hymn "Norhing But The Blood of Jesus". I love the words in this hymn. "O precious is the flow that makes me white as snow; no other fount I know; nothing but the blood of Jesus. " Red and white are my favorite colors. My sister gave me a caousel for a gift. I play it every morning while I am getting drressed and making my bed. I love it because there is red and white on the top of it which always reminds me of the unconditional love our Saviour has for us and the sacrifice He made for you and me when He died on the cross for us. Heavenly Father, thank You for giving Your beloved Son to die on the cross for our sins so we can be saved and go to Heaven. Jesus, I love You so much. Thank You for dying for me. Heavenly Father, I pray for every man, every woman, every boy and every girl. If they have never invited Jesus into their heart to be their personal Saviour, I pray they will do it right now as they read this devotion. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen. SCARS OF LOVE "As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness." Psalms 17:15 King James Version Frances J. Crosby wrote a beautiful hymn about our Saviour. It is one of my favorite hymns "My Savior First of All". I love the words in this inspiring and heart touching hymn. "When my lifework is ended, and I cross the swelling tide, When the bright and glorious morning I shall see; I shall know my Redeemer when I reach the other side, And His smile will be the first to welcome me. Through the gates to the city in a robe of spotless white, He will lead me where no tears will ever fall; In the glad song of ages I shall mingle with delight; But I long to meet my Savior first of all." Heavenly Father, how I love You. Thank You for giving Your beloved Son to die on the cross for our sins. Thank You for all You have done for me. I pray for all those who are lonely, brokenhearted, discouraged, and for those who don't feel well, whether it is physical or emotional. Please comfort and encourage them and let them know how much You love them. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen. Joanne Lowe September 15, 2020

 OUR PROTECTOR

"I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place. The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?"

Psalms 118:5, 6
King James Version

Pastor William O. Cushing wrote the inspiring hymn "Under His Wings". I love the words in this hymn. "Under His wings I am safely abiding, Though the night deepens and tempests are wild, Still I can trust Him; I know He will keep me, He has redeemed me, and I am His child.

Under His wings, under His wings, Who from His love can sever? Under His wings my soul shall abide, Safely abide forever."

What a healing balm it is to our weary battle scarred heart to know that Jesus will protect us from everyone and everything. It is always safe to trust Jesus because what He says, He will do.

 DON'T DO  IT

"Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God."

1 John 3:21

King James Version

We have to make many decisions but it is ery important that we don't do anything before asking God what He wants us to do.  I have done things without first asking God is that is what He wanted me to do and I was not happy with the outcome.

It may be something that is wonderful that we wani to do but it my not be what God wants us to do.  Three was a television program that I used to watch a long time ago "Father Knows Best" was the name of the program.

However, only our Heavenly Father knows what is best for us so we need to get His permission and ask Him what He wants us to do before we do it.  Let's not forget to ask our Heavenly Father if He wants us to do it before we do it.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the many times You have helped me and protected me.  You are a compassionate loving Father and I love You very much and appreciate You.  Thank You for the privilege You have given me to serve Your beloved Son.  In Jesus' Name, I pray.  Amen.

 REMEMBER JESUS

"Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away. And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst. And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS."

John 19:16-19
King James Version

As we are remembering the brave men and women who died on 9-11, let us also remember Jesus who gave His life for us on the cross. O how He loves us. Nobody loves us like Jesus loves us and nobody ever will. The love our Saviour has for us is unconditional and unending. Thank You, Jesus, for dying for us. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 NEVER

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

John 3:16
King James Version

Bill and Gloria Gaither wrote the beautiful inspiring hymn "I Could Never Out Love the Lord". It is impossible for us to love Jesus more than He loves us because not only does our precious Saviour give us love, unconditional love, He is LOVE! If someone ever asks you who Jesus is, tell them Jesus is Love!

TELL JESUS

"All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out."

John 6:37
King James Version

Pastor Edmund S. Lorenz wrote the hymn "Tell It To Jesus". "Are you weary, are you heavy hearted? Tell it to Jesus, tell it to Jesus. Are you grieving over joys departed? Tell it to Jesus alone."

Jesus is not only our Saviour, He is also our best Friend. We can tell Him anything knowing that He cares. He already knows but He wants us to talk to Him and have fellowship with Him.

Heavenly Father, I pray for every man, every woman, every boy and every girl. Please encourage them and comfort them. Thank You for adopting me into Your family and for the privilege You have given me to serve Jesus. I love You so much and appreciate all You have done for me. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

AMAZED

"She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more."

John 8:11
King James Version

Charles H. Gabriel wrote a beautiful hymn that describes how I feel about my precious Saviour and how much I love Him and appreciate Him. "I Stand Amazed in the Presence".

"I stand amazed in the presence Of Jesus the Nazarene And wonder how He could love me, A sinner, condemned, unclean. He took my sins and my sorrows, He made them His very own; He bore the burden to Calvary, And suffered and died alone."

Before I gave my heart and life to Jesus, I was a very angry, selfish and hateful person. I only thought about myself and hated everyone. I blamed everyone for the problems I had in my life.

I was disobedient and disrespectful to my parents and one time I was so angry I said to my Mother "I hate you". I have cried many times because I hurt her so much by saying that to her.

I apologized to her many times but once you say something to people that hurts them the words can't be taken back. We might as well plunge a knife into their heart because it hurts as much.

Yes, I am amazed that Jesus loves me after everything I have done in my life that hurt Him and other people. If someone asks you who Jesus is, tell them Jesus is Love, unconditional love!

O how I love Jesus! He is the Joy of my heart and the reason I get out of bed and wonder of wonders He love me. Always remember, you are loved by the Saviour of the world.

OUR FORGIVING SAviour
"She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more."
John 8:11
King James Version
One of the ways that satan attacks us is when he tells us that Jesus doesn't love us when we hurt Him. That is a lie straight from the pits of hell. We have a tender loving compassionate and forgiving Saviour. He doesn't condemn, He forgives.
When I gave my heart to Jesus, I thought I would never have any more problems. Was I wrong! A pastor once said "Before we're saved, satan doesn't have to attack us because we're not serving Jesus". The pastor was right.
It makes satan very angry when we serve Jesus and he will do all he can do to discourage us so much we stop serving Jesus. We must not let that happen. We need to stay on the battlefield for Jesus just as He stayed on the cross for us.
Jesus left His Father, His home and all that He had to come to earth and die on the cross for our sins. What are we doing for Him?   Are you serving Jesus? If not, why aren't you serving Him? If we want to serve Jesus, we need to get out of our comfort zone and tell everyone we see that Jesus love them.

ONE HAPPY AND JOYOUS DAY

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words."

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
King James Version

Bill and Gloria Gaither wrote the beautiful heart touching hymn "What a Day That Will Be". This is one of my favorite hymns. How I long for this day.

"What a day that will be, When my Jesus I shall see, And I look upon His face, The One who saved me by His grace; When He takes me by the hand, And leads me through the Promised Land, What a day, glorious day that will be.

There'll be no sorrow there, No more burdens to bear, No more sickness, no pain, No more parting over there; And forever I will be, With the One who died for me, What a day, glorious day that will be."

If you are discouraged, lonely and going through dark valleys and feel like going to bed and staying there, tell Jesus. He will pick you up in His compassionate loving arms and carry you until the pain goes away.

EVERY DAY

"And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh."

Matthew 2:11
King James Version

Every day should be Christmas in our heart. We don't have the money to buy gifts for our loved ones every day of the year but we can give them love. The greatest gift we can give them is to tell them that Jesus loves them so much He died for them.

However, it is not enough to tell them Jesus loves them. We must prove to them that Jesus loves them by our kind and loving words and actions.

Does our family see the difference Jesus makes in our heart and life? Do they know we love Jesus? Do we love Jesus? If we do love Him, what are we doing to prove to them that we love Him?

A young boy said to his parents "You go to church, teach Sunday school, sing in the choir but when you come home you criticize the pastor and the sermon. If that is what being a Christian is, I don't want any part of it". May God help us to let our family and loved ones know Jesus loves them by our kind loving words and actions.

Ira Bishop Wilson wrote one of my favorite hymns "Make Me a Blessing". The words in this hymn are the prayer of my heart. "Make me a blessing, make me a blessing, Out of my life may Jesus shine; Make me a blessing, O Savior, I pray, Make me a blessing to someone today."

When people see what you do and hear what you say, do they know you love Jesus? May God help us let others see and hear the unconditional love of Jesus for them in our words and in our actions.

GOD'S INSURANCE POLICY

"For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."

1 Corinthians 6:20
King James Version

Fanny Crosby wrote the beautiful and inspiring hymn "Blessed Assurance". I love the words in this heart touching hymn. "Blessèd assurance, Jesus is mine! O what a foretaste of glory divine! Heir of salvation, purchase of God, Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood."

When we get an insurance policy, we have to pay for it. Jesus has already paid the insurance policy for our salvation with His own redeeming cleansing blood.
Unlike other insurance policies, we can't buy this policy. It is a free gift from the heart or our compassionate and loving Saviour. Many people have tried to buy or work their way into Heaven and it has not worked and will never work.

It is only when we confess our sins and ask God to forgive us that the cleansing redeeming blood of Jesus is applied to our heart for the forgiveness of our sins that we can go to Heaven.

If Jesus comes back for us today and He could come back even while I am typing this devotion, are you ready to meet Him? If you have allowed unforgiveness, jealousy, hatred and all other things that hurt Him and break His heart to remain in your heart you are not ready to meet Him. Be sure your heart is right with God.

DO WE LOVE HIM

"Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me."

John 8:42
King James Version

We talk and write a lot about how much Jesus loves us but do we love Him and if we do love Him what are we doing to prove to Him how much we love Him?  How can we show Jesus how much we love Him?

Jesus tells us in the Bible how we can show Him that we love Him. "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another" (John \13:34).

If we don't love unconditionally as He has commanded us to love, then we don't really love Him. We might say that person doesn't deserved to be loved and forgiven.

Guess what? I don't deserve to be loved and forgiven and neither do you. It is only because of our precious Saviour's compassionate, loving and forgiving heart that any of us are forgiven.

May God help us to prove to Jesus that we love Him by loving one another unconditionally as He has commanded us to love.

START PRAYING

"And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive."

Matthew 21:22
King James Version

For three weeks I have felt like crying and there is nothing wrong. I am happy. Then, I remember that I felt this way two years ago and I couldn't understand why so I asked God and He said "Start Praying".

We don't know what is going on in the heart of other people or how many burdens and dark valleys they are going through but Jesus knows because He sees what in in our heart.

If you ever have an overwhelming urge to cry and nothing is wrong, start praying. We don't have to know who we are praying for or why we are praying because Jesus already knows. Jesus loves us and it breaks His heart when we are sad.

I have lost track of the number of times Jesus has picked me up in His loving compassionate arms and carried me through dark valleys. We need to pray for one another and encourage each other. May God help us to be encouragers and pray for each other.

STILL KNOCKING

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."

Revelation 3:20
King James Version

Jesus has been knocking at the door of some people's heart for many years and He is still knocking because they have not opened the door of their heart and invited Him in to be their personal Saviour.

Please don't keep Him standing at the door of your heart and longer. Jesus loves you so much He died for you. His arms are open wide. You will have a joy and happiness you have never known. O how much Jesus loves you!

JESUS LOVES US

"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

John 10:10
King James Version

Jesus loves us and He wants us to have a happy life. We don't have to be in bondage to satan because Jesus set us free from the bondage of satan when He died on the cross for our sins. The next time satan attacks you, reach out to Jesus because He's reaching out to you.

Ralph Carmichael wrote one of my favorite hymns "Reach Out To Jesus". I love these words in this heart touching and inspiring hymn.

"Is your burden heavy as you bear it all alone? Does the road you travel harbor dangers yet unknown? Are you growing weary in the struggle of it all? Jesus will help you, when on His name you call. He is always there hearing every prayer faithful and true

Walking by our side in His love we hide, all the day through When you get discouraged just remember what to do Reach out to Jesus, He's reaching out to you."

Jesus is waiting for us with His arms open wide and a heart filled with love for us. Run into the arms of Jesus and you will have a peace that you have never known. What a Saviour! What a Friend, this Jesus of Nazareth!
Please raise your hands and your voice and join me in praising the "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS". I love you, Jesus, and I long for the day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.
