 OUR HELPER

"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."

Isaiah 41:10
King James Version

Our Heavenly Father loves us and He will help us, protect us and stregthen us. When we are sad and discouraged and heartbroken, He will hold us close in His loving arms. What a privilege it is to be part of the family of God.

Thank You, Heavenlly Father, for all You have done for us and for all You do for us every day. I love You, dear Father.

 ARE WE SOWING LOVE

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."

Galatians 6:7
King James Version

If we want others to love us and be kind to us, then we must love them and be kind to them. Remember, what we give out, we get back. If we give sarcasm, hatred and unkind words that is what we will get. Let's make a special effort to be kind to one another. It will make Jesus happy. Making Jesus happy should be the desire of all of us.

 SERVING JESUS

"Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest."

Luke 10:2
King James Version

Jesus is calling all of us to serve Him. Are you serving Jesus? Does He have the first place in your heart, in your life and in everything you do? If Jesus doesn't have first place in our heart and life, we are hurting Him and breaking His heart.

 IS IT ACCEPTABLE

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service."

Romans 12:1
King James Version

Is our Heavenly Father pleased with us and the things we do and say or are we doing and saying things that hurt Him? If we're not forgiving people when they hurt us, we are hurting Him and breaking His heart.

We need to remember that none of us are perfect. There are times when all of us say harsh and cruel words and do things that hurt one another.

We read in the Bible "And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be." (James 3:6-10)

Heavenly Father, please forgive me for the times I have hurt You when I was unkind to people. I'm sorry. Please help me to keep my big mouth shut when I am tempted to say something unkind to someone who has hurt me.

All of us need to remember that Jesus never said anything unkind when He was crucified for our sins. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 ARE WE DOING IT

"And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour."

Ephesians 5:2

Are we walking in love as Jesus waks in love? When people hurt us, do we forgive them as Jesus forgives us when we hurt Him? If we aren't forgiving people, we are hurting Jesus and breaking His heart.

 NO MORE CRYING

"Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."

Psalms 30:5

One day when Jesus comes back for us, there will be more parting or crying and we will be with Jesus forever. Never forget that Jesus loves you so much He died for you.

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

Are you weary and carrying heavy burdens? Tell Jesus, He will pick you up in His arms of compassion and love and will carry you until the pain goes away. Jesus really loves you and it breaks His heart when you are hurting.

Thank You, dear Jesus, for loving us and for caring when we are hurting. I love You and appreciate all You have done for me.

 WHITE AS SNOW

"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."

Isaiah 1:18
King James Version

Elvina Hall wrote a beautiful hymn "JESUS PAID IT ALL". I love these words. "I hear the Savior say, Thy strength indeed is small; Child of weakness, watch and pray, Find in Me thine all in all.

Jesus paid it all, All to Him I owe; Sin had left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow."

Heavenly Father, thank You for givng Your beloved Son to die for our sins. Jesus, thank You for dying for our sins.

Civilla D. Martin wrote the beautiful inspiring hymn "God Will Take Care of You". I love these words. "No matter what may be the test, God will take care of you; Lean, weary one, upon his breast, God will take care of you."

 ARMS OF LOVE

"The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them."

Deuteronomy 33:27
King James Version

Elisha A. Hoffman wrote one of my favorite hymns "LEANING ON THE EVERLASTING ARMS". I love the words in this beautiful hymn.

"What have I to dread? What have I to fear? Leaning on the everlasting arms; I have blessèd peace With my Lord so near, Leaning on the everlasting arms."

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving us and for giving Your beloved Son to die on the cross for our sins. I love You and appreciate all You have done for me.  A PLACE OF LOVE

"And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots."

Luke 23:33, 34
King James Version

Michael Joncas wrote a beautiful hymn about our precious Saviour "No Greater Love". There really is no greater love than the unconditional love Jesus gave us when He died on the cross for our sins.

Yes, Calvary was a place of love, unconditional love for you and for me. No one but Jesus loves us this much. No one but Jesus would walk that long lonely road to Calvary and allow them to crucify Him for your sins and for my sins.

How the tears ran down our Heavenly Father's face when His Son was crucified. God couldn't look at Jesus when He was hanging on the cross because He had taken your sins and my sins on Him and God can not look on sin.

No one loves us like Jesus and no one ever will. His love for us is unconditional and unending. He loved us yesterday. He loves us today and He will love us forever. I love You, Jesus. Thank You for dying on the cross for me and for giving me a new heart.

 OUR BEST FRIEND

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."

John 15:13
King James Version

Joseph Medlicott Scriven wrote a beautiful hymn about our precious Saviour "WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS". This is so true because Jesus died for us on the cross. I love these words.

"What a friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry Everything to God in prayer!

O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear all because we do not carry Everything to God in prayer."

I have a sister and family I love with all my heart and I have a Pastor and many wonderful friends who I love but Jesus is my best Friend. It is impossible to tell you all He has done for me.

What a privilege it is to be loved by the Saviour of the world. Jesus, I love You so much and I appreciate all You have done for me.

One happy joyous day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face. How I long for that day. I am going to hug You and spend eternity telling You how much I love You.

 EVERYONE

"For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"

1 Corinthians 15:3, 4
King James Version

Why did God send His Son into the world to die on the cross for our sins? God sent His Son to pay the penalty for our sins because He loves us.

Why did Jesus walk that long lonely road to Calvary and allow them to crucify Him on the cross? He did it because He loves us.

Their unconditional love for us is just the same even after we have hurt Them. Do you understand yet how much Jesus loves you?

Have you allowed it to go from head knowledge to heart knowledge that there is nothing you could do that would make Jesus stop loving you.

I love You so much, dear Jesus. Thank You for loving me and for dying for me when I was so hateful to others. I long for the day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.

 YES HE DOES

"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."

1 Peter 5:7
King James Version

Rev. Frank E. Graeff wrote the hymn "DOES JESUS CARE?" The answer to that question is yes, He does care. I love the words in this beautiful heart touching inspiring hymn.

"Does Jesus care when my heart is pained Too deeply for mirth or song, As the burdens press, and the cares distress And the way grows weary and long?

Oh yes, He cares, I know He cares, His heart is touched with my grief; When the days are weary, the long nights dreary, I know my Savior cares."

Jesus proved how much He cares when He walked that long lonely road to Calvary and allowed them to crucify Him on the cross for our sins. No one has ever suffered the pain and anguish that our precious Saviour endured when He hung on the cross wounded and bleeding for us.

We have a tender compassionate Saviour Who really cares about us. The next time you think nobody cares or loves you remember the cross.

 WITHOUT JESUS

"And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."

1 John 5:11-13
King James Version

Without Jesus we aren't living, we just exist. We read in the Bible. "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing." (John 15:5)

Thank You, Jesus for loving us, for never leaving us and for caring about us. We love Yu and appreciate You.

 RESTING IN JESUS

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

Matthew 11:28

King James Version

Ralph Carmichael wrote one of my favorite hymns "Reach Out to Jesus". I love these words in this beautiful hymn.

" Is your burden heavy as you bear it all alone? Does the road you travel harbor danger yet unknown? Are you growing weary in the struggle of it all? Jesus will help you when on His name you call

He is always there hearing every prayer faithful and true Walking by our side in His love we hide all the day thru. When you get discouraged, just remember what to do Reach out to Jesus, He's reaching out to you."

Jesus knows how it feels to be tired and need to rest. We read in the Bible that Jesus grew weary. "Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour." (John 4:6).

Yes, Jesus understands when we get weary and He will give us rest if we will only go to Him and tell Him that we need Himm to give us rest. Our Saviour loves us and He cares when we grow weary and discouraged.

 DO WE

"Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.:"

Leviticus 19:18
King James Version

Do we love one another? Can we honestly say that we love one another as we love ourselves? I have to admit that I sometimes lose my temper and say things I shouldn't say. However, when I do say words that hurt someone, I tell God I'm sorry and ask Him to forgive me.

Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God." (James 3:6-9).

May God help us to say only words that encourage one another. Heavenly Father, please forgive me for the times I have said and done things that hurt someone. I'm sorry. Thank You for loving us even when we say and do things that hurt You and break Your heart.

 ONE HAPPY DAY

"In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."

1 Corinthians 15:52
King James Version

One happy day Jesus is coming back for us and all heartaches and sorrow will be over. Jim Hill wrote one of my favorite hymns "WHAT A DAY THAT WILL BE". I love the words in this heart touching inspiring hymn.

"There is coming a day When no heartache shall come No more clouds in the sky No more tears to dim the eye All is peace forever more On that happy golden shore What a day, glorious day that will be.

What a day that will be When my Jesus I shall see And I look upon His face The One who saved my by His grace When He takes me by the hand And leads me through the Promised Land What a day, glorious day that will be"

Just think, our precious loving Saviour is going to take our hand. Are you shouting with happiness yet?

I will never understand why people will shout and cheer for their favorite sports team but neglect to shout and cheer for Jesus. How we must hurt Him and break His heart. Let's start making Jesus happy.

 AND THE TEARS FALL

"For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder."

Mark 10:7-9
King James Version

I have watched Judge Judy on the internet many times and it is heartbreaking how many people are fighting and getting divorced, people who took vows and promised to love one another. How this must break the heart of our Saviour. The tears fall when He sees and hears all this fighting.

We read in the Bible. "What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder." (Mark 10:9) Before we walk down the aisle and marry someone we need to be sure the person we are marrying is the person who God wants us to marry.

Several years ago, I received an email from someone who wrote "My boyfriend said if I loved him I would have sex with him". I submit to you on the authority of the Word of God that is a lie. Having sex with someone does not mean we love the person.

A girl went to her dad and said "My boyfriend told me I don't love him because I won't have sex with him." Her dad told her, "Having sex with someone does not mean you love the person. Real love comes from the heart".

Before we marry anyone, we need to pray and ask God if that is the person He wants us to marry. Then we need to wait until He gives us peace.

That is true for anything we do. It doesn't matter if it is a job, where we live or a car we want to buy. We need to be sure it is God's will for our life. May God help us to wait for Him before we do anything.

 OUR SAVIOUR

"For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost."

Matthew 18:11
King James Version

Rev. Alfred Henry Ackley wrote one of my favorite hymns "I Serve a Risen Savior". I love these words in this beautiful hymn.

"I serve a risen Savior He’s in the world today. I know that He is living, Whatever men may say. I see His hand of mercy; I hear His voice of cheer; And just the time I need Him He’s always near."

Sometimes we act like Jesus is still dead. He rose from the grave and He is still alive. Jesus stayed on the cross for us and we need to stay on the battlefield for Him.

 NO MORE

"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

John 10:10
King James Version

Jim Hill wrote the beautiful hymn "What a Day That Will Be". I love these words. "There is coming a day, When no heart aches shall come, No more clouds in the sky, No more tears to dim the eye, All is peace forevermore, On that happy golden shore, What a day, glorious day that will be."

We're living in a world that is filled with violence, hatred, drugs and all other things that hurt Jesus and break His heart. However, our precious Saviour wants us to have a happy life.

We read in the Bible. "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly". (John 10:10)

If you are hurting and discouraged, tell Jesus. He will pick you up in His loving arms and carry you until the pain goes away. O how I love Jesus and one day I will have the privilege of seeing Him face to face.

Is Jesus your King? Have you given Him first place in your heart and in your life? Nobody or nothing should come before Jesus. "O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:"

Psalms 7:1
King James Version

How much do we trust Jesus? When we sit down in a chair, we don't stop to wonder if it will hold us, we just sit down. I think there are times when we have more faith that a chair will hold us than we do in trusting Jesus.

 KEEP PRAYING

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:"

1 Peter 5:8
King James Version

If God lays someone on your heart to pray for, start praying for that person and keep praying until God gives you peace.

Joyce Landorf Heatherley, a Christian speaker and author, said on one of her teaching tapes "The people we sit next to in church look fine and they look darling, but inside they are hurting".

When satan attacks me with lies and discouragement, I am not able to ask for prayer because I am hurting too much so let me say this again, start praying for them and keep praying until God gives you peae in your heart.

It makes satan very angry when we serve Jesus and he will do all he can do to discourage us from serving Jesus. We must not let that happen. We must stay on the battlefield for Jesus just as He stayed on the cross for us.

It is very important and even urgent that we pray for our pastors and that we let them know how much we appreciate them. I have the best Pastor in the world and I thank God for giving Pastor Davis to me as my Pastor.

Heavenly Father, I pray for every pastor who is preaching the good news of our risen Saviour. Please encourage them, strengthen them, protect them and hold them close to Your heart. In Jesus Name, I pray. Amen.
