FAITHFULNESS

"It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness."

Lamentations 3:22, 23
King James Version

Pastor Thomas O. Chisholm wrote one of my favorite hymns "Great Is Thy Faithfulness". I'm so glad the words in this beautiful hymn are true. "Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father; There is no shadow of turning with Thee; Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not; As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be." We know that God is faithful but how faithful are we to Him? Every one of us needs to answer this question. What is your answer? How faithful are you to God?

HE LOVES US

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

John 3:16
King James Version

We know that God loves us and we know that He loves us unconditionally. He proved to us how much He loves us when He gave His beloved Son to die on the cross so we can have our sins forgiven and go to Heaven when we die. The question we need to ask ourselves is "How much do I love God and what am I doing to prove to Him how much I love Him?"

The best way we can show God we love Him is by serving His Son. If you aren't serving Jesus, why aren't you serving Him? Jesus left His Father, His home and all that He had to come to earth and die on the cross for our sins. To serve Him, we will have to shut off the television and get out of our comfort zones and tell everyone we see how much Jesus loves them.

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving us so much You gave Jesus to die for our sins. I pray for every person who is discouraged and hurting. Please encourage and comfort them as You have done for me so many times. How I appreciate You, dear Father. I love You so much. In Jesus' Name, I pray, Amen.

HOW

"And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses."

Mark 11:25
King James Version

Many years ago someone hurt me. I shared that recently with one of my friends and then I told my friend that I had forgiven that person for what she did to me. My friend said "I don't know how you can forgive her after what she did to you". I said, "how can God forgive us after what we did to His Son"?

We spat on His beloved Son. We cursed Him, mocked Him, beat Him beyond recognition and yet Jesus willingly walked that long lonely road to Calvary and suffered anguish and pain that you and I will never know. After all that abuse and the excrutiating pain that Jesus suffered because of your sins and my sins, He still asked His Father to forgive us.

How dare you and I ask our Heavenly Father to forgive us if we refuse to forgive those who have hurt us? Someone said "I have a right to be angry with that person". I submit to you on the authority of the Word of God that only Jesus has a right to be angry and not forgive. Jesus never sinned, never did anything wrong and yet He died for our sins and asked His Father to forgive us while still hanging on the cross with the blood flowing down His precious body.

We read in the Bible "He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:3-5).

Dave Bolling wrote the beautiful hymn "It Was For Me". The words in this hymn bring tears to my eyes to think that Jesus loves me so much He died for me. "It was for me He cried, for me He died, for me He shed His blood upon the tree. It was for me He came, for me His shame; For me, oh praise His name, it was for me." Yes, it was for your sins and my sins that Jesus died on that cross. What a Saviour, this Jesus of Nazareth! Please join me in praising the "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS". All hail, King Jesus! Worthy is the Lamb of God!

EMOTIONALLY AND PHYSICALLY

"He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."

Isaiah 53:3-5
King James Version

Jesus knows how it feels to hurt physically and emotionally so He understands how we feel when we are hurting. It is because of the blood that flowed from His body and the stripes on His body that we are healed and are saved and will go to Heaven. I have said this countless times and I will keep saying it until God calls me home. No one loves you like Jesus loves you and nobody ever will. His love is unconditional and will last forever no matter how many times we hurt Him and fail Him.

Pastor Robert Lowry wrote one of my favorite hymns "Nothing but the Blood". "Nothing can for sin atone, Nothing but the blood of Jesus; Naught of good that I have done, Nothing but the blood of Jesus." Has the cleansing atoning blood been applied to your heart for the forgiveness of your sins? If not, I urge you to invite Jesus into your heart right now before it is too late. He is waiting for you to come to Him.

HOW HE LOVES US

"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."

1 Corinthians 2:9
King James Version

Warren M. Smith wrote a beautiful hymn about Heaven "My Home". I love the words in this inspiring hymn. "When I cross the shining threshold Of my Father’s open door, When I hear the white robed chorus Singing, Glory evermore Unto Him who loved and gave Himself A ransom for all sin; Then my raptured soul will realize How much I owe to Him. Oh! the beauties of that city Tongue or pen can never tell, But I here may have a foretaste Of that land in which all dwell Who have sought the lowly Master And have followed where He trod, And have passed beyond the river, Evermore to be with God."

Are you going to be with God and Jesus when you die? Has there ever been a time in your life when you admitted you were a sinner, asked God to forgive you and invited Jesus into your heart to be your personal Saviour? If not, I urge you, I plead with you to invite Jesus into your heart now before it is too late. One day it will be too late to invite Jesus into your heart. Don't miss out on spending eternity with Jesus and our Heavenly Father. O how They love you. God loves you so much He gave His beloved Son to die on the cross for your sins. Jesus loves you so much He allowed them to crucify Him for your sins. What a loving Saviour we are privileged to know and have.

OUR LIGHTHOUSE

"Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."

John 8:12
King James Version

The Happy Goodman Family sings one of my favorite hymns "The Lighthouse". I love the words in this beautiful hymn and I am so glad they are true. "And I thank God for the Lighthouse I owe my life to Him For Jesus is the Lighthouse And from the rocks of sin He has shown a light around me That I could clearly see If it wasn't for the Lighthouse (tell me) Where would this ship be?" Yes, our precious Saviour is our Lighthouse of unconditional love.

It doesn't matter if it is dark and storming outside or if the electricity goes off, Jesus shines His light a little brighter in our heart. When people say things about you that aren't true and when people you thought were your friends turn on you, it hurts. It hurts a lot to be lied about and to lose someone you thought was your friend but Jesus never leaves us and He doesn't condemn us. He still loves us even when we hurt Him and fail Him. What a Saviour! What a Friend, this Jesus of Nazareth! I love Jesus with all my heart and one day I will have the privilege of seeing Him face to face.

WILL YOU ANSWER THE CALL

"Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me."

Isaiah 6:8
King James Version

We may be willing to go to another country or another city but are we willing to go across the street and tell them that Jesus loves them? However, it is not enough to tell them that Jesus loves them. We must prove to them that He loves them by our kind words and actions.

I had several people come to my house before I was saved but all they did was invite me to church. They never told me that Jesus loves me. In fact, they never mentioned Jesus at all. They just said it is important to go to church.

It is very important that we go to church and worship God. However, nothing we say is more important than telling people that Jesus loves them so much He died for them. Jesus does love you so much He died for you and He will always love you. What a Saviour! What a Friend, this Jesus of Nazareth!

Please join me in praising the "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS". Worthy is the Lamb of God. One day if you are saved, you will have the privilege of seeing Him face to face. What a day of rejoicing and happiness! If you have never invited Jesus into your heart to be your personal Saviour, I urge you to do it now before it is too late. One day it will be too late to say yes to Jesus. Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for you.

ONLY THE LOVE OF JESUS

"And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?"

Matthew 14:25-31
King James Version

James Rowe wrote one of my favorite hymns "Love Lifted Me". The words in this beautiful hymn are so true. "Love lifted me! Love lifted me! When nothing else could help Love lifted me! Love lifted me! Love lifted me! When nothing else could help Love lifted me!" Thank God for the unconditional and unending love of our precious Saviour that lifts us from the depths of despair.

Yes, only the love of our Saviour can lift us up when people attack us with lies and mean cruel words. If we would let it go from head knowledge to heart knowledge that when we hurt one another, we also hurt Jesus, I believe we would be more loving and kind to one another. One day we will stand before a Holy God and give an account of the hatred, criticism, and sarcasm we allow to remain in our heart. All these things hurt our Heavenly Father and Jesus and break Their heart.

We read in the Bible. "Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye" (Matthew 7:1-5).

One of my pastors said many times in a sermon "If you would make sure your own heart is in right standing with God, you won't have the time to criticize and judge others". The pastor was so right because it is a full time job making sure my own heart is in right standing with God. It would break my heart if Jesus should come back while I have hatred and unforgiveness in my heart. May God help us to love one another unconditionally as Jesus has commanded us to love each other.

STOP HURTING JESUS

"And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."

Matthew 25:40
King James Version

It is time that we stop hurting Jesus. Every time we say something or do something that hurts someone, we are also hurting Jesus. The Bible tells us that when we are kind and loving to people, we are also kind and loving to Jesus. However, when we allow unforgiveness, jealousy, hatred and all other things we shouldn't have to remain in our heart, we are also hurting Jesus.

Hasn't Jesus suffered enough for us? He was beaten beyond recognition, spat on, cursed, mocked and crucified on the cross for your sins and for my sins. Jesus endured pain and agony that you and I will never know and He did all this because He loves us very much and He loves us unconditionally.

How sad it will be if we can't look Jesus in the eye when He comes back for us if we have allowed unforgiveness, hatred, jealousy and envy to remain in our heart. Again, it is time that we stop hurting Jesus! Instead of doing and saying things that hurt Him. let's do things and say things that make Him happy.

DO YOU HEAR HIM

"When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled, And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see. Jesus wept. Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!"

John 11:33-36
King James Version

Jesus loves us very much and He loves us unconditionally. When we are unkind to people, it hurts Jesus and He cries because it hurts Him when we hurt each other. It is time we start loving others unconditionally as He has commanded us to love each other. After all that our loving Saviour has done for us, the least we can do is love one another unconditionally as He loves us.

NO MORE BONDAGE

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

John 8:32
King James Version

The truth is Jesus died on the cross for our sins and when we confess our sins, ask God to forgive us and invite Jesus into our heart to be our personal Saviour, we are no longer in bondage to satan because Jesus defeated satan on the cross.

Bill Gaither wrote one of my favorite hymns "I'm Free". I love the words in this inspiring hymn. "I am free from the guilt that I carried From the dull empty life, I'm set free For when I met Jesus he made me complete, He forgot the foolish child I used to be."

If you have invited Jesus into your heart to be your personal Saviour, you are no longer in bondage to satan. Thank God for the unconditional amazing love He gave us when He gave His beloved Son to die on the cross for our sins. What a Saviour! What a Friend, this Jesus of Nazareth! All hail, King Jesus! Worthy is the Lamb of God! Please join me in praising the One Who loves you so much He died for you.

A BROKEN HEART

"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise."

Psalms 51:17
King James Version

There are times when people hurt us that we have a broken heart and it doesn't feel very good, does it? However, there are times when we should have a broken heart, times when we hurt God. Hopefully, we don't hurt Him on purpose but when we say or do something that hurts His beloved Son, it also hurts Him.

I think all of us, if we're honest with ourselves, have been hurt by someone and it broke our heart. Guess what, none of us are perfect. We have also hurt others, hopefully not on purpose, but we have hurt them. As soon as we realize we've hurt someone, we need to ask God to forgive us and then ask that person to forgive us.

Heavenly Father, it hurts me to know that there have been times when I have hurt You and Your beloved Son. Please forgive me because I'm sorry. I never want to hurt You, yet I know that I do at times. Thank You for loving us so much You gave Jesus to die on the cross for our sins so we can be saved. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

ARE WE A BLESSING
"And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:"
Genesis 12:2
King James Version
Ira B. Wilson wrote one of my favorite hymns "Make Me a Blessing". "Make me a blessing, make me a blessing, Out of my life may Jesus shine; Make me a blessing, O Savior, I pray, Make me a blessing to someone today. The words in this beautiful hymn should make every Christian ask "Am I a blessing to others?"
We can't be a blessing to others if we allow unforgiveness and bitterness to remain in our heart. How dare you and I refuse to forgive those who hurt us when Jesus forgave us for crucifying Him? Jesus had never done anything wrong, yet He willingly died for our sins so we can be saved.
May God help us to keep our heart in right standing with God. As one of my pastors said in a sermon "If you will make sure your own heart is right with God, you won't have the time to criticize and judge others". That pastor was so right because it is a full time job making sure there is nothing in my heart that hurts God.
Heavenly Father, please forgive me for the times I have hurt You. Help us to lead others to Jesus by the love we show them. I pray for those who are discouraged and lonely. Please comfort them as You have comforted me so many times. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

WORDS ARE NOT ENOUGH
"A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."
John 13:34, 35
King James Version
Peter Scholtes wrote the hymn "They'll Know We Are Christians". "We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord And we pray that all unity may one day be restored And they'll know we are Christians by our love, by our love They will know we are Christians by our love." WHAT AN AMAZING LOVE

"And preached, saying, There cometh one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose."

Mark 1:7
King James Version

Pastor Ira Stanphill wrote one of my favorite hymns "Unworthy". "Unworthy am I of the grace that He gave, Unworthy to hold to His hand; Amazed that a King would reach down to a slave, This love I cannot understand. Unworthy, unworthy, a beggar; In bondage and alone, But He made me worthy and now by His grace, His mercy has made me His own."

We read in the Bible "And preached, saying, There cometh one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose" (Mark 1:7). We aren't worthy to even stoop down and unloose our precious Saviour's shoes yet He willingly walked that long lonely road to Calvary and there allowed them to crucify Him for your sins and for my sins.

Another one of my favorite and loved hymns that Robert Harkness wrote is "Why Should He Love Me So?" Every time I read these words or hear them sung, I am amazed that Jesus loves us so much. "Nails pierced His hands and His feet for my sin; Why should He love me so? He suffered sore my salvation to win: Why should He love me so?"

Why should Jesus loves us so? It is because not only does Jesus give us love, unconditional and unending love, He is love. If someone asks you who Jesus is, tell that person that Jesus is love, amazing and unconditional love. O how I love Jesus and one happy day I am going to have the privilege of seeing Him face to face. Are you shouting with happiness yet?

FORGET IT

"She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more."

John 8:11
King James Version

One of the most vicious attacks of satan and one of the ways he tries to stop us from serving Jesus is when we do something that hurts Jesus and satan tries his best to convince us that our precious Saviour doesn't love us anymore. That is a lie straight from the pits of hell. There is nothing you can do that would make Jesus stop loving you. Jesus loved you yesterday. He loves you today and He will love you forever.

If you have said or done something that hurts Jesus, tell Him you're sorry and forget about it. Don't dwell on it. This is a new day. Don't let satan lie to you and keep you discouraged. Jesus doesn't condemn you. He loves you and He loves you unconditionally.

DO YOU LOVE HIM

"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."

1 Corinthians 2:9
King James Version

We can tell people that we love God but God can see into our heart and He knows if we love Him or if we are just saying we love Him. God proved He loves us when He gave His beloved Son to die on the cross for our sins. What are we doing to prove to God that we love Him?

HE IS STILL ALIVE

"And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay."

Matthew 28:5, 6
King James Version

Alfred Henry Ackley wrote one of my favorite hymns "He Lives". "He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today! He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way. He lives, He lives, salvation to impart! You ask me how I know He lives? He lives within my heart."

There are times when we act like Jesus isn't alive but He arose and He walks with us and talks with us. Where we get in trouble is when we try to do things by ourselves without asking Jesus to help us and He has told us that we can't do anything without Him.

We read in the Bible. " I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing" (John 15:5). We need to ask Jesus to help us instead of trying to do things by ourselves. Stuart Hamblen one of my favorite hymns "They That Wait Upon The Lord".

"They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, They shall mount up on wings as an eagle, They shall run and not grow weary, they shall walk and not faint, Teach me Lord, teach me Lord, to wait." Let's ask Jesus for help instead of trying to do everything alone and then wait for Him to lead us and help us.

JESUS INTERCEDES FOR US

"Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them."

Hebrews 7:25
King James Version

As I listened to the Speer family sing "AND HE’S EVER INTERCEDING" on a Bill Gaither program, I was reminded of how much Jesus loves you and me. When we do things we shouldn't do and say things we shouldn't say, Jesus intercedes for us with God. The greatest prayer Jesus prayed for us was on the cross.

We read in the Bible "And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots" (Luke 23:33, 34).

Our precious Saviour had been beaten beyond recognition, cursed, mocked, ridiculed and spit on and as He hung there on the cross for something He hadn't done with the blood flowing down His body, He asked His Father to forgive us. What kind of love is this that He would ask God to forgive us while He was in such pain? This is an amazing unconditional love that could only come from the heart of our precious Saviour.

O how Jesus loves you. There is nothing you could ever do that would make Him stop loving you. His love for you is unconditional and unending. He loved you yesterday. He loves you today and He will love you forever. What a Saviour! What a Friend, this Jesus of Nazareth! O how I love Jesus and one day I will see Him face to face.

IS HE

"His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord."

Matthew 25:21
King James Version

Grace B. Maxwell wrote a hymn that everyone of us needs to answer "Is He Satisfied with Me?" "I am satisfied with Jesus, But a question comes to me As I ponder o’er His goodness, Is He satisfied with me?" Is Jesus satisfied with you? I know there are times when I hurt Jesus and disappoint Him because I don't always love others unconditionally.

Heavenly Father, please forgive me for the times when I allow unforgiveness and bitterness to remain in my heart and don't love others unconditionally as Jesus has commanded us to love others. It is the desire of my heart to make Jesus happy. I pray for all of those who are discouraged, brokenhearted and who feel all alone. Please comfort and encourage them. Thank You, dear Father, for loving us. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

OUR GREAT SAVIOUR

"And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

Matthew 3:16, 17
King James Version

Every time I hear George Beverly Shea sing the beautiful and heart touching hymn "How Great Thou Art ", I get tears of happiness in my eyes to think that Jesus loves us so much He died on the cross for our sins. "And when I think, that God, His Son not sparing; Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in; That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing, He bled and died to take away my sin."

Pastor Thomas Dennis wrote a beautiful hymn about our Saviour "The Broken Heart". The words in this inspiring hymn are so true. "He died of a broken heart for you, He died of a broken heart; Oh, wondrous love! for you, for me, He died of a broken heart." If you are reading this devotion, Jesus died of a broken heart for you. This is how much He loves you.

THE STAR

"Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him."

Matthew 2:1, 2
King James Version

I love to look at the stars but the greatest star was the star that led the wise men to the Baby Jesus. Ben Speer sings one of my favorite hymns about the birth of the Baby Jesus "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem". "Oh beautiful star of Bethlehem Shining afar through shadows dim Giving the light for those who long have gone Guiding the wise men on their way Unto the place where Jesus lay."

What joy and happiness filled the wise men when they saw the Baby Jesus. What joy and happiness fills our heart when we invited Jesus into our heart to be our personal Saviour. If you have never invited Jesus into your heart, I urge you to do it today before it is too late. Jesus loves you so much He died for you. Say yes to Jesus today!

BE KIND TO ONE ANOTHER

"Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."

Ephesians 4:31, 32
King James Version

If ever someone had a right to be bitter and angry and refuse to forgive, it is Jesus. He was beaten beyond recognition, spat on, cursed, mocked, humiliated and left alone to die on the cross for something He didn't do. If Jesus could forgive you and me for doing all those terrible things to Him, how dare you and I refuse to forgive the ones who hurt us.

The Bible instructs us to be kind to one another and that means even when people hurt us. It doesn't matter if they hurt us on purpose, we still need to forgive them just as Jesus forgives us when we hurt Him. When Jesus comes back for us, will we be able to look Him in the eye or will we have to hang our head in shame because we refused to forgive those who hurt us?

HE UNDERSTANDS

"His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord."

Matthew 25:21
King James Version

Lucie Eddie Campbell wrote the hymn "He'll understand and say, well done". I love the words in this beautiful hymn. "If when this life of labor is ended, And the reward of the race you have run; Oh! the sweet rest prepared for faithful, Will be his blest and final "Well done."

There are times when we grow weary and discouraged while serving Jesus especially the times when satan attacks us with lies but Jesus understands how we feel. We must stay on the battlefield for Jesus just as He stayed on the cross for us.

Esther Kerr Rusthoi wrote the beautiful hymn "IT WILL BE WORTH IT ALL". The words in this inspiring hymn are so true. "It will be worth it all when we see Jesus, Life's trials will seem so small when we see Christ; One glimpse of His dear face all sorrow will erase, So bravely run the race till we see Christ."

It really will be worth it all when we see Jesus so keep serving Jesus no matter how many times satan attacks you and people turn against you and say things about you that aren't true. We are going to have the privilege of seeing Jesus face to face. How I long for that day!

DO YOU HAVE ROOM

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."

Revelation 3:20
King James Version

Daniel W. Whittle wrote a hymn that asks a question that every person needs to answer "Have You Any Room for Jesus?" "Room for pleasure, room for business, But for Christ the Crucified, Not a place that He can enter, In the heart for which He died?" Have you made room for Jesus in your heart?

You may have made room for Jesus in your heart but have you made room for Him in your life? After all that Jesus has done for us, He deserves to have first place in our heart, in our life, in our time and in everything we do. Jesus gave His life for us. What have you given to Him?

HE IS COMING

"For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."

Matthew 24:27
King James Version

William M. Ramsey wrote the hymn "Coming in the Clouds". I love the words in this hymn. "When the Lord shall come in glory, In the clouds from Heav’n descending, What rejoicing there will be; All the saved shall rise to meet Him On that bright and cloudless morning, At His coming in the clouds." We have heartaches and sorrows now but when Jesus comes back for us, we will rejoice.

What a happy day that will be when we have the privilege of seeing our precious Saviour face to face. Stay on the battlefield for Jesus because it will be worth it all when we see Him face to face.

THE BEGINNING

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."

Genesis 1:1
King James Version

Have you ever wondered why God created the heaven and the earth because He is God and He needs nothing or nobody? I wondered that for many years and one day I asked Him why He created the Heaven and earth. He spoke to my heart and said "I am God. I need nothing or nobody but I desired fellowship."

If God desires fellowship, it is also very important that we have fellowship with one another. Just think, when we confess our sins, ask God to forgive us and invite Jesus into our heart to be our personal Saviour, we become part of the family of God.

One of my pastors preached a sermon about the family of God and he said "You'd better be kind and loving to one another because you are going to spend eternity with each other." How sad it is and how it must break the heart of our Saviour when we who claim to be Christians allow unforgiveness to remain in our heart and refuse to forgive those who hurt us.

How dare you and I go to a Holy God and ask Him for anything if we're not willing to forgive those who have hurt us? None of us are perfect and that includes me. All of us hurt one another at times. Hopefully, we don't hurt each other on purpose. If we would do what Jesus has commanded us to do, we would make Him very happy.

Jesus has commanded us to love one another unconditionally. We read in the Bible. "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another" (John 13:34). Can you honestly say you always love unconditionally? I can't because I get upset when someone hurts me and then I have to tell God I'm sorry and ask Him to forgive me. May God help us to love unconditionally as Jesus has commanded us to love.

HE CARES

"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."

1 Peter 5:7
King James Version

Pastor Frank E. Graeff wrote the hymn "Does Jesus Care?" I'm so glad that Jesus does care about us. "Oh yes, He cares, I know He cares, His heart is touched with my grief; When the days are weary, the long nights dreary, I know my Savior cares."

When everyone seems to stop caring about you, know that Jesus cares. When we cry, Jesus weeps with us and when we are happy and laugh, Jesus rejoices with us. What a precious Saviour and Friend we are privileged to know and have. O how I love Jesus! He is the Joy of my heart and the reason I get out of bed.

WHAT A PRIVILEGE

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17
King James Version

Carrie E. Breck wrote one of my favorite hymns "Face to Face with Christ, My Savior". I love the words in this beautiful hymn. "What rejoicing in His presence, When are banished grief and pain; When the crooked ways are straightened, And the dark things shall be plain."

We are going to have the privilege of seeing Jesus face to face. What a happy and joyous day that is going to be. As much as we are longing to see Him face to face, He is more excited to see us and be with us because He loves us so much He died for us. Are you ready to meet Him if He comes back today?

A TENDER HEART

"A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh."

Ezekiel 36:25
King James Version

Before I was saved, I wasn't a nice person. I hated everybody and I was hateful to people. The most wonderful day of my life was when I invited Jesus into my heart on August 14, 1980 to be my personal Saviour, He removed my cold and hardened heart and gave me a new heart, a tender heart filled with compassion and understanding.

Do I always love everyone unconditionally as Jesus has commanded us to love everyone? No, I don't because there are times when I get angry when someone hurts me and I have to ask God to help me keep my big mouth shut. You might think we have a right to get angry and upset when someone hurts us.

No, we don't have a right to get angry and upset. The only person who has the right to get angry and upset is our precious Saviour. When Jesus died for your sins and my sins on the cross, He could have came down from the cross but He stayed on the cross because He loves us. He not only stayed on that cross of horror and excrutiating pain, He asked God to forgive us.

What kind of love is this that Jesus would ask God to forgive us after He had been beaten beyond recognition, spat on, cursed, abused and left alone to die for something He didn't do? It is an amazing and unconditional love that comes from the heart of our Saviour. O how Jesus loves you. Nobody loves you like Jesus loves you and nobody ever will.

Ray Overholt wrote the beautiful and inspiring hymn "Ten Thousand Angels". "They bound the hands of Jesus in the garden where he prayed They led him through the street in shame They spat upon the Saviour so pure and free from sin They said crucify him he's to blame He could have called ten thousand angels to destroy the world and set him free He could have called ten thousand angels but he died alone for you and me."

Jesus died for our sins when He had never done anything wrong. How can you and I do less than give Him our heart and our time and serve Him after all that He has done for us? What a Saviour! What a Friend, this Jesus of Nazareth! Please join me in praising the One Who loves you so much He died for you.
