 LET US PRAISE OUR SAVIOUR

"Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

Philippians 2:9-11
King James Version

Belle M. Heyl wrote a beautiful hymn about Jesus "PRAISE THE NAME OF CHRIST". Are we praising His name all the time? If ever someone deserves to be loved and praised, it is Jesus.

"Praise the name of Christ in Heaven, Children sing with glad acclaim; Praise Him duly, serve Him truly, Spread abroad His glorious fame; He so kingly, we so lowly, We so sinful, He so holy; Yet He, self forgetting, hears us When we call upon His name."

Fanny Crosby wrote another beautiful hymn about praising Jesus "PRAISE HIM, PRAISE HIM". Do we praise Jesus most of the time or do we complain most of the time?

"Praise Him, praise Him— Jesus, our blessèd Redeemer, Sing, O earth, His wonderful love proclaim. Hail Him! hail Him! highest archangels in glory; Strength and honor give to His holy name!

Praise Him, praise Him— Jesus, our blessèd Redeemer, For our sins He suffered, and bled, and died; He our rock, our hope of eternal salvation, Hail Him, hail Him, Jesus the Crucified."

We love You, Jesus, and we appreciate all that You do for us. Thank You for saving me and for all You do for me every day. I love You and look forward to the happy joyous day when I will see You face to face.

 MY PRECIOUS SAVIOUR

"For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself."

Philippians 3:20, 21
King James Version

Charles J. Herceg, Jr. wrote a beautiful hymn "JESUS, MY SAVIOUR". I love the words in this beautiful hymn.

"Jesus, my Saviour, how mighty Thou art; `Holy and precious, You dwell in my heart; The blood Thou sheddest, Thou sheddest for me; Cleansing forever, Thy blood sets me free.

Jesus, my Saviour, the Truth and the Way, Giver of life and my hope and my stay; I’ll trust Thy wisdom and walk in Thy will; Draw my soul closer, and keep my heart still.

When I am weary, and can’t find my way, Speak to my heart and then help me obey; Safe in Thy bosom, I watch devils flee: Jesus my Saviour will give victory.

Jesus my Savior forever will be; My heart will sing and give praise unto Thee; Sin, sadness, sorrow will be in the past; Life with the Saviour will be mine at last."

Are you going to be with Jesus when you die? If you have never given your heart and life to Jesus, please do it now. He is waiting for you to come to Him with His arms open wide and a heart full of unconditional love for you.

I love You, precious Jesus. Thank Y0u for dying for my sins, for loving me and for all You do for me every day. Especially thank You for never leaving me.

 EVERYBODY

"For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men."

Titus 2:11
King James Version

When Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins, it was for everybody. We read in the Bible. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Yes, Jesus died for every person in the world. However, salvation is personal between Jesus and you. Your family and friends can't save you as much as they want to do so.

If there has never been a time in your life when you admitted you were a sinner, asked God to forgive you for your sins and invited Jesus into your heart to be your Saviour. I urge you do to it now even as you read this devotion.

Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for you. I love You, Jesus. Thank You for dying for me and for all You do for me every day.

 IMPOSSIBLE

"Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen."

Galatians 1:4, 5
King James Version

It is impossible to give God all the praise and glory that He deserves. Fanny Crosby wrote a beautiful heart touching and inspiring hymn about our loving Heavenly Fahter " TO GOD BE THE GLORY"

"To God be the glory, Great things He has done; So loved He the world That He gave us His Son, Who yielded His life An atonement for sin, And opened the life gate That all may go in.

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, Let the earth hear His voice! Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, Let the people rejoice! O come to the Father, Through Jesus the Son, And give Him the glory, Great things He has done.

O perfect redemption, The purchase of blood, To every believer The promise of God; The vilest offender Who truly believes, That moment from Jesus A pardon receives.

Great things He has taught us, Great things He has done, And great our rejoicing Through Jesus the Son; But purer, and higher, And greater will be Our wonder, our transport, When Jesus we see."

Carrie E. Breck wrote a beautiful hymn about seeing Jesus face to face that should make all of us thank God that He loves us so much we will have the privilege of seeing Jesus face to face "FACE TO FACE WITH CHRIST, MY SAVIOR".

"Face to face with Christ, my Savior, Face to face—what will it be, When with rapture I behold Him, Jesus Christ who died for me?

Face to face I shall behold Him, Far beyond the starry sky; Face to face in all His glory, I shall see Him by and by!

Only faintly now I see Him, With the darkened veil between, But a blessèd day is coming, When His glory shall be seen.

What rejoicing in His presence, When are banished grief and pain; When the crooked ways are straightened, And the dark things shall be plain.

Face to face—oh, blissful moment! Face to face—to see and know; Face to face with my Redeemer, Jesus Christ who loves me so."

If you have never admitted you are a sinner, asked God to forgive you and invited Jesus into your heart, do it now. Fall on your knees and let Jesus come into your heart. You will have a happiness and peace you have never had.

I love You, dear Jesus. What a privilege it has been these last twenty years to write devotions about You and how wonderful You are. One day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face. Thank You for loving me and for dying for my sins.

 ARE WE DOING IT

"O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles."

Psalms 43:3
King James Version

Charles Hutchinson Gabriel wrote a hymn that should challenge all of us to serve Jesus "SEND THE LIGHT". I wonder if we are doing it. Are we sending the light of Jesus?

"There’s a call comes ringing over the restless wave, Send the light! Send the light! There are souls to rescue, there are souls to save, Send the light! Send the light!

Send the light, the blessèd Gospel light; Let it shine from shore to shore! Send the light, the blessèd Gospel light; Let it shine forevermore!

We have heard the Macedonian call today, Send the light! Send the light! And a golden offering at the cross we lay, Send the light! Send the light!

Let us pray that grace may everywhere abound, Send the light! Send the light! And a Christlike spirit everywhere be found, Send the light! Send the light!

Let us not grow weary in the work of love, Send the light! Send the light! Let us gather jewels for a crown above, Send the light! Send the light!"

Before we can send the light about Jesus, we must first be sure that our heart is right before Him. Elisha Albright Hoffman wrote a hymn that asks a question that all of us has to answer "IS THY HEART RIGHT WITH GOD?"

"Have thy affections been nailed to the cross? Is thy heart right with God? Dost thou count all things for Jesus but loss? Is thy heart right with God?

Is thy heart right with God, Washed in the crimson flood, Cleansed and made holy, humble and lowly, Right in the sight of God?
Hast thou dominion o’er self and o’er sin? Is thy heart right with God? Over all evil without and within? Is thy heart right with God?
Is there no more condemnation for sin? Is thy heart right with God? Does Jesus rule in the temple within? Is thy heart right with God?

Are all thy pow’rs under Jesus’ control? Is thy heart right with God? Does He each moment abide in thy soul? Is thy heart right with God?"

We can say ahything but Jesus can see in our heart and He knows if our heart is right with God. Before we can spread the good news of our risen Saviour, we must first be sure there is nothing in our heart that hurts God and breaks His heart.

May God help us to lead others to Jesus by our kind and loving words. Heavenly Father, please search my heart and if there is anything that hurts You, I'm sorry. Please forgive me and help me be a shining light for You as I tell others of our precious risen Saviour.

 PRAISE HIS PRECIOUS NAME

"For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself."

Philippians 3:20, 21

Charles J. Herceg, Jr. wrote a beautiful hymn about our precious Saviour "JESUS, MY SAVIOUR". I love the words in this inspiring hymn.

"Jesus, my Saviour, how mighty Thou art; Holy and precious, You dwell in my heart; The blood Thou sheddest, Thou sheddest for me; Cleansing forever, Thy blood sets me free.

Rev. James Martin Gray wrote another beautiful hymn about our precious Saviour "VICTORY IN MY SOUL". Thank God Who always gives us victory.

"The burden of my fear and sin On Christ by faith I roll; And now I have His peace within And victory in my soul.

There’s victory in my soul, Victory in my soul; I grasp the promises by faith, There’s victory in my soul. I know there is a test for me, A battle to be won; But God ensures the victory Before it is begun."

Have you allowed Jesus to give you the victory over sins by His cleansing blood that He shed for you on the cross? If not, don't wait another minue. Give your heart and life to Jesus before it is too late.

I love You, dear Jesus. Thank You for dying for my sins and for all You do for me every day.

 HAVE YOU CALLED

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him."

Romans 5:8, 9
King James Version

Thank God for the precious cleansing blood of Jesus. Rev. Robert Lowry wrote one of my very favorite hymns "O the Blood of Jesus". I'm so glad the words in this inspiring hymn are true.

"What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

O precious is the flow that makes me white as snow; no other fount I know; nothing but the blood of Jesus.

For my pardon this I see: nothing but the blood of Jesus. For my cleansing this my plea: nothing but the blood of Jesus."

A. Ely wrote a hymn that should be the cry of our heart "SAVE ME OR I DIE". I'm so glad that our Heavenly Father loves us so much that He gave His beloved Son to die on the cross for our sins so we can be saved.

"I come to Thee, Thou Son of God, And before Thy altar fall; Spare not on me Thy chastening rod, O hear me as on Thy name I call.

Savior, Savior, Hear my earnest cry; O hear and save me, save me, Or I die.  I merit naught but death, I know, But I pray Thee to forgive; On me, Thy mercy, Lord, bestow, And let me but serve Thee while I live.

My sins I lay before Thee now, And with all my heart confess Thou art my God, to Thee I bow, Lord Jesus, Thou Son of Righteousness.

I will not let Thee go, dear Lord, Till my sins are all forgiven; I plead the promise of Thy word, O hear me and make me fit for Heav’n."

Have you prayed the sinner's prayer and invited Jesus into your heart? If not, don't wait another minute. Give your heart and life to Jesus before it is too late. One day it will be too late to invite Jesus into your heart.

We read in the Bible "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." Revelation 3:20

Open the door of your heart and say yes to Jesus right now. He loves you so much He died for you. Please don't keep hurting Him and breaking His heart. Don't keep Him standing as the door of your heart another minute.

I love You, dear Jesus, and look forward to the happy joyous day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face. Thank You for dying for me, for saving me and for all You do for me every day.

 DID THEY TELL HIM

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

John 3:16
King James Version

As I watched Dr. Stanley's funeral, I saw people going up to the casket to say goodbye to Dr. Stanley because they loved him so much and are going to miss him. I wonder, did those people tell Dr. Stanely they loved him while he was alive?

That is why I always brag on my Pastor and tell him how much I appreciate him and love him. I want him to know.

Is my beloved Pastor perfect? No, he is human just as we are but He loves Jesus and he is a lighhourse of love for Jesus. How I thank God and praise Him for giving Pastor Davis to me as my Pastor.

When is the last time you told your pastor that you love him and appreciate all he has done for you? Have you ever told him? We need to remember pastors are sometimes called out in the middle of the night to go to the hospital and see someone who is sick.

Pastors sacrifce a lot of time with their families to minister to us and we should never forget that they get tired and discouraged just like we do. The next time you are praying, remember to pray for your pastor and his family.

Dr. Stanley is going to have everlasting life because he invited Jesus into his heart to be his Saviour. What about you? Have you invited Jesus into your heart? If not, please don't wait. Ask God to forgive you for your sins and invite Jesus into your heart. You will have a peace and happiness that you have never known.

Rev. Thomas Obediah Chisholm wrote the beautiful heart touching and inspiring hymn "LIVING FOR JESUS". Are you livng for Jesus?

"Living for Jesus, a life that is true, Striving to please Him in all that I do; Yielding allegiance, glad hearted and free, This is the pathway of blessing for me.

O Jesus, Lord and Savior, I give myself to Thee, For Thou, in Thy atonement, Didst give Thyself for me. I own no other master, My heart shall be Thy throne. My life I give, henceforth to live, O Christ, for Thee alone.

Living for Jesus who died in my place,Bearing on Calvary my sin and disgrace; Such love constrains me to answer His call, Follow His leading and give Him my all.

Living for Jesus, wherever I am, Doing each duty in His holy name; Willing to suffer affliction and loss, Deeming each trial a part of my cross.

Living for Jesus through earth’s little while, My dearest treasure, the light of His smile; Seeking the lost ones He died to redeem, Bringing the weary to find rest in Him."

I love You, dear Jesus. Thank You for loving me when I was so unlovely and for giving me a new heart, a heart filled with love and appreciation for You and for all You have done for me. Are you living for Jesus as Dr. Stanley did and as my Pastor does?

 ONE HAPPY JOYOUS DAY

"And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."

Luke 21:28
King James Version

Rev. Benjamin Beddome wrote a beautiful hymn "LIFT UP YOUR HEADS, YE SAINTS, AND SEE". I love the words in this inspiring hymn.

"Lift up your heads, ye saints, and see, The wished-for day is come; Jesus descends in majesty, To lead His followers home.

His chariot wheels no more delay, Rejoice, ye chosen ones; He comes to call His saints away, And bring from far His sons.

He is your Savior and your King, Shout then with cheerful voice; To Him your loud hosannas sing, Who bids your hearts rejoice."

We are living in a world filled with hatred, violence, murders. rapes and all other things which hurt Jesus and break His heart. It is time we stopped hating and start loving one another as He has commanded us to love.

We read in the Bible. "This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.". If we would do what Jesus tells us to do, what a happy and peaceful life we would have.

If ever someone deserves to not forgive people, it is Jesus. He was beaten beyond recognition, He was cursed, spit on, mocked and then they pounded those nails into His precious hands.

Jesus endured all that pain for you and for me because He loves us so much. I know that I write about Jesus a lot but it is because I love Him so much and He deserves to be praised.

Ray Overholt wrote the hymn "TEN THOUSAND ANGELS". Every time I hear this hymn or sing it, I get tears in my eyes to know how much Jesus loves us and all the pain that He endured because of us.

"They bound the hands of Jesus In the garden where He prayed They led Him thro' the streets in shame They spat upon the Savior So pure and free from sin They said crucify Him. He's to blame

He could have called ten thousand angels To destroy the world and set Him free He could have called ten thousand angels But He died alone for you and me

Upon His precious head They placed a crown of thorns They laughed and said behold the King They struck Him and they cursed Him And mocked His holy name All alone He suffered ev'rything

When they nailed Him to the cross His mother stood nearby He said woman behold thy Son He cried I thirst for water But they gave Him none to drink Then the sinful work of man was done

To the howling mob He yielded He did not for mercy cry The cross of shame He took alone And when He cried it's finished He gave Himself to die Salvation's wondrous plan was done."

This really happened. Jesus was spit on, cursed, beaten and crucified on the cross for something He had not done. No one, I repeat, no one loves us like Jesus and no one ever will.

If there's never been a time in your life that you admitted you are a sinner, asked God to forgive you and invited Jesus in your heart, please do it now even as you read this devotion. He loves you so much He died for youl. I love you, dear Jesus. Thank You for all You've done for me.

 OUR ROCK

"For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God? God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect."

2 Samuel 22:32, 33
King James Version

Rev. Vernon J. Charlesworth wrote a beautiful and inspiring hymn "A Shelter in the Time of Storm". I love these words in this hymn. I'm so glad they are true.

"The Lord's our rock, in Him we hide, A shelter in the time of storm; Secure whateveill betide, A shelter in the time of storm."

Rev. Edward Mote wrote one of my very favorite hymns "The Solid Rock". I'm so glad the words in this hymn are true.

"My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness; I dare not trust the sweetest frame, But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand; All other ground is sinking sand, All other ground is sinking sand.

When darkness veils His lovely face, I rest on His unchanging grace; In every high and stormy gale, My anchor holds within the veil.
His oath, His covenant, His blood Support me in the whelming flood; When all around my soul gives way, He then is all my hope and stay.

When He shall come with trumpet sound, Oh, may I then in Him be found; Dressed in His righteousness alone, Faultless to stand before the throne.

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand; All other ground is sinking sand, All other ground is sinking sand."

Thank You, Jesus, for being our Rock of protection in a world that is filled with violence and hatred. I love You so much and look forward to the happy joyous day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.

 NO OTHER WAY

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

John 14:6
King James Version

People try to work their way, buy their way and anything they can think of to go to Heaven. However, Jesus has made it very clear that He is the only way to go to Heaven.

All we have to do is admit we are sinners, ask God to forgive us and invite Jesus to come into our heart to be our Saviour.

Several years ago, I saw someone hold out a twenty dollar bill. He said if you want this money, all you have to do is come up here where I am standing and take it.

Guess what? Nobody went up to where he was standing to get that money. The same thing happens with Jesus. He has already paid the price for our sins when He died for us on the cross and all He asks is for us to invite Him into our heart. How it must hurt Him and break His heart when people won't inivte Him into their heart.

We read in the Bible. "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."

Please don't keep hurting Jesus. Give your heart and life to Jesus before it is too late. One day it will be too late to ask Jesus into your heart. Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He left His Father, His home and all that He had to come to earth and die on the cross so you can be saved and go to Heaven when you die.

Jesus proved He loves us when He died for us on the cross. What are we doing to prove to Him we love Him? Do you love Him? When is the last time you told Him that you love Him? Have you ever told Him you love Him. Again, please don't keep huring our precious Saviour.

 HIS PROTECTIVE WINGS

"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler."

Psalms 91:1- 4
King James Version

Rev. William Cushing wrote a beautiful inspiring hymn about our precious Saviour "Under His Wings". I love the words in this hymn.

"Under His wings I am safely abiding; Though the night deepens and tempests are wild, Still I can trust Him--I know He will keep me, He has redeemed me and I am His child.

Under His wings, what a refuge in sorrow! How the heart yearningly turns to His rest! Often when earth has no balm for my healing, There I find comfort, and there I am blessed.

Under His wings, O what precious enjoyment! There will I hide till life’s trials are o’er; Sheltered, protected, no evil can harm me, Resting in Jesus I’m safe evermore.

Under His wings, under His wings, Who from His love can sever? Under His wings my soul shall abide, Safely abide forever."

Thank You, precious Saviour for never leaving us, for protecting us, for comforting us and for dying for our sins on the cross and suffering all that pain for our sins. I love You so much and look forward to seeing You one happy joyous day.

 WE WILL SEE JESUS

"Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen."

Revelation 1:7
King James Version

I just listened to Sandy Patti and Larnelle Harris singing "I'VE JUST SEEN JESUS". I believe it is one of the greatest hymns ever written. What a privilege it is going to be to see Jesus face to face. Are you going to see Jesus?

If there has never been a time in your life when you admitted you are a sinner, confessed your sins, asked God to forgive you and invited Jesus into your heart to be your Saviour. I urge you, I plead with you to do it now. Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for you.

O how I love You, precious Jesus. Knowing that one day I will have the privilege to see You face to face fills my heart to overflowing with joy and happiness.

Heavenly Father, I pray for every pastor who is preaching the good news of our risen Saviour. Please comfort them, protect them, encourage them and let them know how much You appreciate their service to You.

I pray for their family also that You will please protect, heal and comfort them.
Thank You for the privilege You have given me to serve Jesus. How it brings tears of happiness to me knowing that I can tell everyone how great Jesus is and everything He has done for us. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

DO WE DO IT

"Praise ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD. Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore. From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD'S name is to be praised."

Psalms 113:1-3
King James Version

Do we praise Jesus or do we complain most of the time? After all that Jesus has done for us, He deserves to have us praise Him all the time.

Fanny Crosby wrote the inspiring hymn "Praise Him! Praise Him!" If you are complaining most of the time instead of thanking Him and praising Him, you are hurting Him and breaking His heart.

"Praise him, praise him! Jesus, our blessed redeemer! Sing, O earth, his wonderful love proclaim! Hail him, hail him! Highest archangels in glory! Strength and honor give to his holy name!

Like a shepherd, Jesus will guard his children. In his arms he carries them all day long.  Praise him! Praise him! tell of his excellent greatness. Praise him! Praise him! ever in joyful song.

Praise him, praise him! Jesus, our blessed redeemer! For our sins, he suffered, and bled, and died. He our rock, our hope of eternal salvation, hail him, hail him! Jesus, the crucified.

Sound his praises, Jesus who bore our sorrows, love unbounded, wonderful, deep, and strong.  Praise him, praise him! Jesus, our blessed redeemer! Heav’nly portals loud with hosannas ring! Jesus, Savior, reigneth forever and ever! Crown him, crown him! prophet, and priest, and king!
Christ is coming, over the world victorious. Pow’r and glory unto the Lord belong. Praise him! Praise him! tell of his excellent greatness. Praise him! Praise him! ever in joyful song."

If we have been complaining more than we have been praising Jesus, we need to stop it! If ever someone deserves to be praised, it is Jesus. He is the "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. Please join me in praising our precious Saviour.

I love You, dear Jesus, and look forward to the happy joyous day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.

 OUR ROCK OF PROTECTION

"From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy."

Psalms 61: 2, 3
King James Version

Rev. Augustus Toplady wrote a beautiful hymn about our precious Saviour "Rock of Ages". Thank God for Jesus, our Rock of Ages.

"Rock of Ages, cleft for me, let me hide myself in thee, let the water and the blood, from thy woulnded side which flowed, be of sin the double cure; save from wrath and make me pure.

Not the labors of my handscan fulfill thy law's demands; could my zeal no respite know, could my tears forever flow, all for sin could not atone; Thou must save, and thou alone.

While I draw this fleeting breath, when mine eyes shall close in death, when I soar to worlds unknown, see thee on thy judgment throne, Rock of Ages, cleft for me, let me hide myself in thee."

Thank You, Jesus, for protecting us, for never leaving us and for dying on the cross for us. I love You so much and appreciate all You have done for me. I look forward to the happy and joyous day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face and being with You for eternity.

 JESUS IS COMING FOR US

"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."

John 14:1-3
King Janes Version

Bill & Gloria Gaither sing one of my favorite hymns "What a Day That Will Be". It will be the happiest day we have ever known to have the privilege of seeing Jesus face to face.

"What a day that will be, When my Jesus I shall see, And I look upon His face, The One who saved me by His grace; When He takes me by the hand, And leads me through the Promised Land, What a day, glorious day that will be.

There'll be no sorrow there, No more burdens to bear, No more sickness, no more pain, No more parting over there; But forever I will be, With the One who died for me, What a day, glorious day that will be."

If you're hurting today, it doesn't matter if your's hurting physically or emotionally, tell Jesus. He is the great Physican. He will pick you up in His loving arms and carry you until the pain goes away and will set you again on the mountain top of happiness.
I love You, dear Jesus, and look forward with joy and happiness to the day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.

Thank You for dying for my sins and for all You do for me every day. I really appreciate You never leaving me.

 JESUS UNDERSTANDS

"He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."

Isaiah 53:5
King James Version

Jesus was beaten and died on the cross for something He had not done. That is how much He loves us. He didn't have to leave His Father, His home and all that He had to come to earth and die on the cross for our sins.

He came to earth because He loves us so much. How much do we love Him and what are we doing to prove to Him that we love Him and appreciate Him?

When is the last time you told Jesus that you love Him? He has feelings too and He needs to know we love Him and appreciate Him.

Jesus, I do love You and appreciate all You have done for me and all You do for me every day.

Yes, Jesus understands how it hurts when someone says something to us that is mean and sarcastic. If you are hurting, tell Jesus. He will pick you up in His arms of love and will carry you until the pain goes away.

 JESUS REALLY CARES

"Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots."

Luke 23:34
King James Version

Rev. Frank E Graeff wrote a beautiful hymn. It is one of my favorite hymns "Does Jesus Care". I'm so glad to know that Jesus does care about us. He cares so much He died for us on the cross.

"Does Jesus care when my heart is pained Too deeply for mirth or song, As the burdens press, and the cares distress And the way grows weary and long?

Oh yes, He cares, I know He cares, His heart is touched with my grief; When the days are weary, the long nights dreary, I know my Savior cares.

Does Jesus care when my way is dark With a nameless dread and fear? As the daylight fades into deep night shades, Does He care enough to be near?

Does Jesus care when I’ve tried and failed To resist some temptation strong; When for my deep grief there is no relief, Though my tears flow all the night long?

Does Jesus care when I’ve said goodbye To the dearest on earth to me, And my sad heart aches till it nearly breaks, Is it aught to Him? Does He see?"

I used to not be able to sleep at night no matter what I did or how long I stayed up. The doctor gave ms sleeping pills. They did not help and I did not want to take them.

One night I asked Jesus to help me go to sleep. I knew I had to have sleep, that I could't go on any longer without rest and sleep.

I felt Jesus put His loving arms around me and tell me that He loves me. Then He held my hand and sat beside my bedside all night. I slept like a baby.

We read in the Bible "t is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep." Psalms 127:2   I was not His beloved and that is why I couldn't sleep.
I was rude and hateful to everyone including my beloved Mother. I was angry about something and I said to Mom "I hate you". When I realized what I had done, it broke my heart and I asked her to forgive me. She forgave me but the words I said to her could not be taken back.

We need to understand when we say cruel and sarcastic words to someone we might as well take a knife and plunge it into their heart. It hurts as much.

The person who says "I don't need comforting" is not being honest  or who says  "I'm never upset or lonely or need someone"   That is not a true statement because all of us need someone at times. Even Jesus needed someone.

We read in the Bible "Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour."  If Jesus needed someone, how much more you and I need one another.

May God help all of us to be an encouragement to one another and especially be an encouragement to Jesus by our service and devotion to Him.

Jesus really cares for us and He has proved it to us many times. What are we doing to prove to Him that we care about Him? We can say anything but He can look into our heart and He knows if we really love Him or if we're just saying words.

I love You, dear Jesus. I look forward to the happy joyous day when I will have the pivilege of seeing You face to face. Thank You for all You've done for me, especially for never leaving me.

 STILL LEADING

"(A Psalm of David.) The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."

Psalms 23:1-4
King James Version

Joseph Henry Gilmore wrote one of my favorite hymns "He leadeth me! O blessed thought". I love the words in this inspiring hymn.

"He leadeth me! He leadeth me! By His own hand He leadeth me; His faithful follower I would be, For by His hand He leadeth me.
Sometimes ’mid scenes of deepest gloom, Sometimes where Eden’s bowers bloom, By waters still, o’er troubled sea, Still ’tis His hand that leadeth me.

Lord, I would clasp Thy hand in mine, Nor ever murmur or repine; Content, whatever lot I see, Since it is Thou that leadest me.

And when my task on earth is done, When, by Thy grace, the vict’ry’s won, E’en death’s cold wave I will not flee, Since Thou in triumph leadest me."

Rev. E. W. Blandly wrote another one of my favorite hymns "Where He Leads Me".  I love these words.

"1 I can hear my Savior calling, I can hear my Savior calling, I can hear my Savior calling, "Take thy cross and follow, follow Me."
Where He leads me I will follow, Where He leads me I will follow, Where He leads me I will follow, I'll go with Him, with Him all the way.

I'll go with Him through the garden, I'll go with Him through the garden, I'll go with Him through the garden, I'll go with Him, with Him all the way.

I'll go with Him through the judgment, I'll go with Him through the judgment, I'll go with Him through the judgment, I'll go with Him, with Him all the way.

He will give me grace and glory, He will give me grace and glory, He will give me grace and glory, And go with me, with me all the way."

Jesus, thank You for leading us and for all You do for us, especially for never leaving us. I appreciate You so much.

Heavenly Father, I pray for every pastor who is preaching the good news or our risen Saviour. Please protect them, encourage them and strenghten them. Let them know You love them and appreciate their service to You.
I pray especially for my beloved Pastor, Pastor Davis. Thank You for leading me to his church and for giving him to me as my Pastor. I pray for every member of his family. May they realize what a privilege it is to have him. Again, thank You for everything You have done for me. I love You so much, dear Jesus.

 GIVE HIM PRAISE

"The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted."

Psalms 18:46
King Janes Version

Edward Perronet wrote the hymn "All Hail The Power Of Jesus' Name". We need to do what we sing in this beautiful hymn.

"All hail the power of Jesus’ Name! Let angels prostrate fall; Bring forth the royal diadem, And crown Him Lord of all, Bring forth the royal diadem, And crown Him Lord of all.

Ye seed of Israel’s chosen race, Ye ransomed from the fall, Hail Him Who saves you by His grace, And crown Him Lord of all, Hail Him Who saves you by His grace, And crown Him Lord of all.

Let ev’ry kindred, ev’ry tribe, On this terrestrial ball, To Him all majesty ascribe, And crown Him Lord of all, To Him all majesty ascribe, And crown Him Lord of all.

O that with yonder sacred throng, We at His feet may fall, We’ll join the everlasting song, And crown Him Lord of all. We’ll join the everlasting song, And crown Him Lord of all!"

Have you crowned Jesus the Lord of your heart, of your life, of your family and everything you have? Everything we have belongs to Jesus. He just gives it to us because He loves us so much.

Fanny Crosby wrote a beautiful heart touching and inspiring hymn "Praise Him! Praise Him!" Every one of us should be praising Him every day for all He does for us.

Will you join me in praising Jesus? He is the KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS! WORTHY IS THE LAMB OF GOD!

I love You, dear Jesus and look forward to the happy joyous day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face. Thank You for dying for me, for never leaving me and for all You have done for me.

 ONE HAPPY DAY

"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know."

John 14:2-4
King James Version

James W. Acuff wrote a beautiful hymn. It is one of my favorite hymns "JUST OVER IN THE GLORY LAND". Just knowing that one day I will have the privilege of seeing my precious Saviour fills me with joy and happiness.

"I've a home prepared where the saints abide, Just over in the glory land; And I long to be by my Savior's side Just over in the glory-land.

Just over in the glory land, I'll join the happy angel band, Just over in the glory land; Just over in the glory land, There with the mighty host I'll stand, Just over in the glory land.

I am on my way to those mansions fair, Just over in the glory land There to sing God's praise and His glory share; Just over in the glory land

What a joyful thought that my Lord I'll see, Just over in the glory land And with kindred saved, there forever be, Just over in the glory land

With the blood-washed throng I will shout and sing, Just over in the glory land Glad hosannas to Christ, the Lord and King, Just over in the glory land".

Are you going to be there to sing to Jesus? If you have never given your heart and life to Jesus, do it now! Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for you.

I love You, dear Jesus. Thank You for all You have done for me.

 OUR SAVIOUR'S CROSS

"And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me."

Luke 9:23
King James Version

Elizabeth C. Clephane wrote a hymn about the cross of Jesus "Beneath the Cross of Jesus". I am so glad Jesus loves us enough to take our sins on Him and die on the cross for us.

He didn't have to leave His Father and Heaven to come to earth and die for us. However, Jesus loves us so much He willingly came to earth and took our sins on Him so we can be saved and go to Heaven when we die.

"Beneath the cross of Jesus I fain would take my stand, The shadow of a mighty rock within a weary land; A home within the wilderness, a rest upon the way, From the burning of the noontide heat, and the burden of the day.

Upon that cross of Jesus mine eye at times can see The very dying form of One Who suffered there for me; And from my stricken heart with tears two wonders I confess; The wonders of redeeming love and my own worthlessness.

I take, O cross, thy shadow for my abiding place; I ask no other sunshine than the sunshine of His face; Content to let the world go by to know no gain or loss, My sinful self my only shame, my glory all the cross."

Yes, our precious Saviour allowed them to beat Him, spit on Him and crucify Him on the cross for something He had not done. What have we done for Him?

Have we given Him first place in our heart, in our life and in our time? After all that He has done for us, He deservies to have first place.
Are we making our Heavenly Father happy by the way we treat His beloved Son or are we hurting Him and breaking His heart?  May God have mercy on us if we are hurting His beloved Son.

I love You, precious Jesus. Thank You for loving me, for dying for my sins and for all You have done for me and for all You are doing for me. One joyous happy day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face and will be with You for eternity.

 HE IS CALLING US

"But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation."

Psalms 13:5
King James Version

Rev. Charles A. Parker wrote the hymn "OH! THE LOVE THAT SOUGHT ME". I love the words in this inspiring hymn.

"I was lost and madly wand’ring, Farther, farther did I roam, When I heard a sweet voice calling: Child of Mine, come home, come home!

Oh, the love divine that sought me, Love that would not let me go; Love surpassing that of mother, Calling me from sin and woe.

Yet I heeded not the message, Tho’ it deeply touched my heart; In my sin I still found pleasure, E’en while aching from its smart.
Still He called me—softly called me, Followed me far o’er the wild; Day by day I heard Him calling, Oh! come home, come home, My child.

Thus He sought me, wooed and won me, As a lover woos his bride; Now with Him I’m safe abiding, Walking closely by His side."

Thank You, precious Jesus for never giving up on me. I love You so much and appreciate all You have done for me and all You do for me every day.

Have you answered His call? If not, give your heart and life to Jesus before it is too late. Don't keep hurting our Saviour and breaking His heart.

 NOBODY

"Who is like unto the LORD our God, who dwelleth on high, Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth! He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill; That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people. He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD."

Psalms 113:5-9
King James Version

Eliza E. Hewitt wrote a beautiful hymn about our precious Saviour "NO ONE LIKE MY SAVIOR". I love the words in this hymn.
"There’s no one like my Savior, No friend can be like Him; My never failing sunshine When earthly lights grow dim; When summer flowers are blooming, The brightness of my joy, O, may His happy service My heart and life employ!

No one, no one like my precious Savior, No one, no one such a friend can be; No one, no one like my precious Savior, Glory, glory, Jesus cares for me.

There’s no one like my Savior; In seasons of distress, He draws me closer to Him, To comfort and to bless; He gives me, in temptation, The strength of His right arm; His angels camp around me, To keep me from all harm.

There’s no one like my Savior, He pardons all my sin; And gives His Holy Spirit, A springing well within; He leads me out to service, With gentle touch and mild; O, wonder of all wonders, That I should be His child.

There’s no one like my Savior; Come now, and find it true; He gave His life a ransom, His blood was shed for you; Then when we reach the city Of everlasting light, We’ll sing with saints and angels"

Will you sing with saints and angels and see Jesus face to face? If not, don't wait another minute. Tell God you're sorry for your sins and ask Him to forgive you and invite Jesus to come into your heart and save you.

Jesus died for us and suffered pain that we will never know. Don't keep hurting Jesus and breaking His heart. Give your heart and life to Jesus before it is too late. One day it will be too late. Your family and friends can't do it for you as much as they want to do so. Salvation is personal between you and Jesus. He is waiting for your to come to Him with open arms and a heart full of love for you.
