 JESUS LOVES YOU

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

Matthew 11:28
King James Version

H. Lemmel wrote a beautiful hymn about our Saviour "TURN YOUR EYES UPON JESUS". If we will do what we sing in this hymn, we

O soul, are you weary and troubled? No light in the darkness you see? There’s a light for a look at the Savior, And life more abundant and free!

Turn your eyes upon Jesus, Look full in His wonderful face, And the things of earth will grow strangely dim, In the light of His glory and grace."

Jesus thank You for the many times You have encouraged me and reassured me that You love me and care about me. I love You so much. I have many friends but You are my best Friend.

 DO WE LOVE HIM

"Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him."

John 14:23
King James Version
We say we love Jesus but do we really love Him? Jesus said if we love Him that we will keep His words. Are we keeping His words and doing the things and saying the words that make Him happy?

Laurie Klein wrote one of my favorite hymns "I Love You, Lord". We sing this but do we really mean it? If so, what are we doing to prove to Jesus that we love Him?

Jesus proved how much He loves us when He allowed them to crucify Him on the cross for our sins. Please join me in praising the "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS".

I love You, dear Jesus. Thank You for all You've done for me especially for never leaving me. One happy and joyous day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.

 JESUS DIED FOR US

"Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;"

Colossians 2:14
King James Version

Avis M. Christiansen wrote a hymn that always brings tears to me to know Jesus loves us this much "BLESSÈD REDEEMER". I believe she wrote this hymn from her heart.

"Up Calvary’s mountain, one dreadful morn, Walked Christ my Savior, weary and worn; Facing for sinners death on the cross, That He might save them from endless loss.

Blessèd Redeemer! Precious Redeemer! Seems now I see Him on Calvary’s tree; Wounded and bleeding, for sinners pleading, Blind and unheeding—dying for me!

Father forgive them! thus did He pray, E’en while His lifeblood flowed fast away; Praying for sinners while in such woe No one but Jesus ever loved so.

O how I love Him, Savior and friend, How can my praises ever find end! Through years unnumbered on Heaven’s shore, My tongue shall praise Him forevermore."

One happy and joyous day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face. I love You so much. Thank You for everything You have done for me, especially for never leaving me.  Jesus died for us.  What are we doing for Him?

 ONE HAPPY JOYOUS DAY

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

Thessalonians 4:16-18
King James Version

Jim Hill wrote the beautiful, heart touching inspiring hymn "What a Day That Will Be". I love the words this hymn.

"There is coming a day, When no heart aches shall come, No more clouds in the sky, No more tears to dim the eye, All is peace forever more, On that happy golden shore, What a day, glorious day that will be.

What a day that will be, When my Jesus I shall see, And I look upon His face, The One who saved me by His grace; When He takes me by the hand, And leads me through the Promised Land, What a day, glorious day that will be.

There'll be no sorrow there, No more burdens to bear, No more sickness, no pain, No more parting over there; And forever I will be, With the One who died for me, What a day, glorious day that will be."

Jesus, thank You for all You have done for us. Not only did You die on the cross for our sins, You are also a loving and faithful Friend. One happy day we will have the privilege of seeing You when You come back for us. I love You and appreciate all You have done for me.

 REJOICE AND BE HAPPY

"Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty."

Revelation 1:7, 8
King James Version

Ada J. Blenkhorn wrote the hymn "MAKE WAY FOR THE KING". I love these words in this beautiful hymn.

"Make way for the King! He is coming In heavenly splendor arrayed; Ye Christians who love His appearing, Keep watching, and be not dismayed.

One day in the fast-nearing future, As the days and the years roll by, The eyes of all nations shall see Him In glory descend from the sky.

Make way for the King! He is coming; Make way for the Lord in your heart; All envy and malice and hatred, O bid it forever depart. Let love reign supreme in your spirit, Your enemies freely forgive; In righteousness, peace and submission, Make haste for His coming to live."

Do you understand that one day we will see our precious Saviour face to face and we will be with Him for all eternity? Please join me in praising the "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS". Worthy is the Lamb of God. I love You, dear Jesus.

 HE DOESN'T HEAR US

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

2 Cronicles 7:14
King James Version

If we pray and ask for something when we have unforgiveness and other things in our heart that hurt Jesus, He won't even hear us. We need to be sure our heart is in right standing before we ask for anything.

Heavenly Father, please forgive me for the times when I don't love others unconditionally as Jesus has commanded us to love others. I'm sorry. Thank You for adopting me into Your family. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 DO WE

"This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you."

John 15:12

King James Version

Jim Gilbert wrote the hymn "I Love You with the Love of the Lord". We sing this hymn but do we mean what we are singing? Do we really love others as Jesus loves us and as He has commanded us to love one another?

Jesus loves us even when we fail Him and hurt Him. Can we honestly say we love others all the time? I can't say that because there are times when someone says something to me that hurts me, I get upset and have to ask God to help me keep my big mouth shut instead of saying something that will hurt the person who is hurting me.

We need to remember when we hurt others, we are also hurting Jesus. We read aout this in the Bible. "And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” Matthew 25:40

It is time we stop hurting Jesus because we don't do what He has told us to do. The next time someone says or does something to hurt us we need to remember that we hurt Jesus when we say or do something that hurts somone else. If ever someone deserves to be happy it is Jesus.

 THE SAVIOUR'S BLOOD

"Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:"

1 Peter 1:18, 19
King James Version

Rev. Robert Lowry wrote one of my favorite hymns "Nothing But The Blood of Jesus". Every time I hear this hymn or sing it, I realize once again how much Jesus has done for us.

"What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
O precious is the flow that makes me white as snow; no other fount I know; nothing but the blood of Jesus."

Jesus shed His blood for us. What are we doing for Him? Are we doing and saying things that make Him happy or are we hurting Him and breaking His heart? One day every one of us will stand before God and give an account of the way we treated His belovoed Son.

Will we hang to hang our head in shame because we hurt Jesus? God loves His Son so much. We read in the Bible. "And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." (Matthew 3:17)

I love You, dear Jesus. Thank You for dying on the cross for me and for paying the price for my sins that I could never have paid. One happy and joyous day I will have the privilege of seeing You.

SURRENDER TO JESUS

"So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple."

Luke 14:33
King James Version

J. S. Aben wrote the hymn "MY SURRENDER". We need to ask ourselves if we have given everything to Jesus. Jesus gave His life for us and we should give all to Him.

"I give myself to Thee, dear Master, I give myself to Thee; For Thou didst leave Thy heav’nly home, A sacrifice for me.
On Calv’ry’s brow they stripped Thee And nailed Thee to the cross; There Thou didst hang in agony, A ransom for the lost.

I give myself to Thee, dear Master, I give myself to Thee: I now surrender all, dear Jesus, And give myself to Thee."

Have you given your heart and life to Jesus and surrendered everything to Him? If not, you are hurting Him and breaking His heart. I love You, dear Jesus. Thank You for everything You have done for me.

 HIS FORGIVING LOVE

And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots."

Luke 23:33, 34
King James Version

If Jesus could forgive us while still hanging on the cross with the blood flowing down His body, how dare you and I refuse to forgive those who hurt us. None of us are perfect.

There was only one perfect Person who ever lived or ever will live and His name is Jesus.
We need to remember that when we refuse to forgive others, we hurt Jesus and break His heart. May God have mercy on us for hurting His beloved Son.

I love You, Jesus, and I appreciate all You have done for me. One happy day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face. What a joyous day that will be. I'm going to give You a big hug and spend eternity with You.

 JESUS WAS UPSET

"And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.'"

Mark 10:13, 14
King James Version

Karyn Henley and Randall Dennis wrote a beautiful hymn about Jesus and children "Jesus Loves the Little Children".

"Jesus loves the little children All the children of the world Red and yellow, black and white They are precious in His sight Jesus loves the little children of the world.

Jesus died for all the children All the children of the world Red and yellow, black and white They are precious in His sight Jesus loves the little children of the world."

Jesus loves children. Do we love children? Several years ago in one of my devotions I wrote about children. Someone who was on my mailing list for my devotions emailed me and asked me not to send any more devotions because she didn't have anything to do with children. How that must have hurt Jesus and broke His heart.

May God have mercy on us if we are hurting His children because of the way we treat them. A young boy knocked on my door and said "I'm hungry. Do you have any food I can eat?"

The boy told me that his parents were always yelling at each other and at his sisters and brothers and at him. He said "I'm afraid to go home. My brothers and sisters and me run and hide when we hear our parents yelling at each other.

One day these parents will stand before a Holy God and give an account of the way they treated their children and His beloved Son, Jesus. Our Saviour has told us that when we hurt others, we also hurt Him. It is time that we stop hurting Jesus and start loving Him. I love You, dear Jesus. Thank You for dying for me.

 WHAT A PRECIOUS PROMISE

"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."

John 14:1-3
King James Version

G. B. Alldridge wrote a beautiful hymn about our precious Saviour "THE COMING CHRIST". I love the words in this hymn.

"Ye saints of the Lord, rejoice and be glad, Jesus is coming again; Lift up your hearts, for why are you sad? Jesus is coming again.
He’s coming to claim His own chosen Bride, Jesus is coming again; With Him forever we then shall abide, Jesus is coming again."

Are you ready to meet Jesus if He comes back for us as you read this devotion? If not, I urge you to aSK God to forgive you for your sins and invite Jesus into your heart to be your Saviour.

We read in the Bible. "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." Revelation 3:20

Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for you. His arms are open wide to receive you. Say yes to Jesus before it is too late. I love You, dear Jesus, and I appreciate all You have done for me.

 HE PROMISED

"He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus."

Revelation 22:20
King James Version

Ludie D. Pickett wrote one of my favorite hymns "NEVER ALONE". What a healing balm it is to our weary battle scarred heart to know Jesus never leaves us alone.

"I’ve seen the lightning flashing, I've heard the thunder roll. I’ve felt sin’s breakers dashing, Which almost conquered my soul. I’ve heard the voice of my Savior, bidding me still to fight on. He promised never to leave me, Never to leave me alone!

No, never alone, no never alone, He promised never to leave me, He'll claim me for His own; No, never alone, no never alone. He promised never to leave me, Never to leave me alone."

We can trust Jesus to be faithful to us and keep His promises to us. Can Jesus trust us to be faithful to Him? Have we given Jesus first place in our heart, in our life and in everything we do.

When He died on the cross for us and shed His blood for our sins, He earned the right to have first place.

I love You, dear Jesus. Thank You for dying for me, for giving me a new heart and for everything You do for me every day. One joyous and happy day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face. What a day of happiness that is gong to be!

ARE YOU GOING TO BE THERE

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17
King James Version

Civilla D. Martin wrote one of my favorite hymns "WI"LL YOU AND I BE THERE?" Every one of us has to answer this question.

"Will you be there, with Christ in the air? Where all His own shall greet Him, Will you be sad? or will you be glad? When at the throne you meet Him?

When the dear Lord shall come To gather His loved ones home; Will you be there, His glory to share, When the dear Lord shall come?"

 ARE THEY ACCEPTABLE

"Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer."

Psalms 19:14
King James Version

When Jesus looks in our heart and hears what we say, does it make Him happy or does it hurt Him and break His heart? May God help us to do and say things that make our precious Saviour happy.

If ever someone deserves to be happy, it is Jesus! He is the "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LOIRDS". Jesus left His Father, His home and all the Ha had to come to earth and die on the cross for our sins. No one loves us like Jesus loves us and no one ever will.

 JESUS IS WITH US

"Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

Matthew 28:20
King James Version

Ludie D. Pickett wrote one of the most encouraging and beautiful hymns about Jesus I've ever heard "NEVER ALONE". I'm so glad the words in this hymn are true.

"I’ve seen the lightning flashing, I’ve heard the thunder roll. I’ve felt sin’s breakers dashing, Which almost conquered my soul. I’ve heard the voice of my Savior, Bidding me still to fight on. He promised never to leave me, Never to leave me alone!

No, never alone, no never alone, He promised never to leave me, He’ll claim me for His own; No, never alone, no never alone. He promised never to leave me, Never to leave me alone."

Thank You, Jesus, for the assurance You give us that You will never leave us. What a healing balm it is to our weary battle scarred heart to know that You keep Your promises. Thank You for loving me so much You died on the cross for my sins. I love You so much.

Heavenly Father, I pray for all who are lonely, discouraged, hurting and for those who feel like going to bed and staying there.  SPREAD THE LOVE OF JESUS

"And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."

Matthew 25:40
King James Version

Benjamin M. Chase wrote a beautiful hymn "LITTLE MISSIONS". I love the words in this hymn.

"Though you may not cross the ocean, To the land where heathen dwell, And to them the wondrous story Of the love of Jesus tell, You can be a missionary, There is much that you can do, All around are little missions, That the Lord has giv’n to you.

To the doubting ones around you, To the weary and oppressed, You can speak kind words of comfort That will give them peace and rest; You can serve the old and feeble, You can go the sick to see, And your Savior’s voice will whisper, Ye have done it unto Me.

Though you may not have great riches, And your talents may be few, You should give to God a portion Of what He has giv’n to you; Little offerings from the children Are most precious in His sight, He will take them and will bless them, As He did the widow’s mite."

Are you spreading the love of Jesus to all you see? If not, you are hurting Him and breaking His heart. Jesus died for our sins on the cross and we should serve Him telling everyone how wonderful Jesus is and how much He loves them.

 ARE WE WILLING

"And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me."

Mark 8:34
King James Version

Ernest William Blandy wrote the hymn "WHERE HE LEADS ME".

"I can hear my Savior calling, I can hear my Savior calling, I can hear my Savior calling, Take thy cross and follow, follow Me.

He leads me I will follow, Where He leads me I will follow, Where He leads me I will follow; I’ll go with Him, with Him, all the way."

How about it? Are we willing to follow Jesus and do what He asks us to do? If not, we are hurting Him and breaking His heart. Jesus left His Father, His home and all that He had to come to earth and die on the cross for us so we can be saved. How can we do less than follow Him and serve Him?

One day we will stand before God and give an account of the way we treat His beloved Son. May God have mercy on us if we are hurting Jesus and breaking His heart.

 ARE YOU GOING TO HEAVEN

"For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?"

Mark 8:36
King James Version

I was born July 7, 1943 but I was born again into God's family on August 14, 1980 when I asked God to forgive me for my sins and invited Jesuis into my heart to be my Saviour.

My spiritual birthday, when I was born again into God's family is more important than the day when my Mother gave birth to me.

You may live in a beautiful home, drive a nice car and have many material things but if you haven't invited Jesus into your heart you don't have anything because nothing matters unless you have Jesus in your heart.

Not only do we need Jesus in our heart so we can go to Heaven when we die, He has also told us that without Him we can't do anything. We read this in the Bible in John 15:5.

"I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing."

There are days when I am in so much pain that I can't get out of bed without Jesus helping me. Of course, satan will do all he can do to discourage me from serving Jesus so when I am hurting so much that I want to stay in bed I ask Jesus to comfort me, encourage me and help me get out of bed and He does.

Jesus has never failed to encourage and comfort me and He never will. If you are hurting, tell Jesus. He loves you so much He died for you and He cares about you and wants you to be happy. He tells us this in the Bible.

"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10

Nothing would make satan any happier than if we stop serving Jesus. The next time you're hurting, ask Jesus to help you. He will pick you up in His loving arms and carry you until the pain goes away and will set you once again on the mountain top of happiness. I love You, dear Jesus.

 ARE WE DOING IT

"For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee."

Psalms 84:11, 12
King James Version

Rev. John Henry Sammis wrote the hymn "TRUST AND OBEY". Are we doing what we sing in this hymn or are we just singing the words?

"When we walk with the Lord In the light of His Word, What a glory He sheds on our way! While we do His good will, He abides with us still, And with all who will trust and obey.

Not a shadow can rise, Not a cloud in the skies, But His smile quickly drives it away; Not a doubt or a fear,
Not a sigh or a tear, Can abide while we trust and obey.  Trust and obey, For there’s no other way To be happy in Jesus, But to trust and obey."

Are we doing it? Are we trusting and obeying what our Saviour tells us to do? If not, we are hurting Him and breaking His heart.

 JESUS IS COMING FOR US

"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know."

John 14:1- 4
King James Version

When satan attacks us and we get discouraged, we need to remember that one happy day Jesus is coming back for us. Are you ready to meet Jesus if He should come back for us as you are reading this devotion? If not, I urge you to give your heart and life to Jesus even as you read this devotion.

We don't know when Jesus is coming back for us but He is coming and we need to be ready to meet Him. Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for you.

We read in the Bible how important and urgent it is that we be ready to meet Jesus when He comes back for us. We read in Matthew 25:1-13 how important it is that we get ready to meet Jesus now.

"Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh."

Heavenly Father, I pray for every man, every woman, every boy and girl who has never given their heart and life to Jesus. May today be the day when they open the door of their heart and let Him come in. Thank You for loving us so much You gave Your beloved Son to die on the cross for our sins so we can be saved. I love You, dear Father. What a privilege it is to be part of Your family. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

EVERYTHING

"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

Philippians 4:19
King James Version

Rev. William Clark Martin wrote a beautiful and inspiring hymn "MY FATHER WATCHES OVER ME". We have a loving Heavenly Father Who really cares about us.

"I trust in God wherever I may be, Upon the land, or on the rolling sea, For come what may, from day to day, My heav’nly Father watches over me.

I trust in God, I know He cares for me; On mountain bleak or on the stormy sea; Tho’ billows roll, He keeps my soul; My heav’nly Father watches over me.

He makes the rose an object of His care, He guides the eagle thro’ the pathless air, And surely He remembers me; My heav’nly Father watches over me."

What a privilege it is to be part of the family of God. Bill and Gloria Gaither wrote one of my favorite hymns "The Family Of God". I love the words in this hymn.

"I'm so glad I'm a part of the family of God I've been washed in the fountain Cleansed by His blood Joint heirs with Jesus As we travel this sod For I'm part of the family The family of God."

Heavenly Father, thank You for adopting me into Your family. I love You and appreciate all You have done for me. Thank You for giving Your beloved Son to die on the cross for my sins. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

 HAVE WE MADE HIM HAPPY

"His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord."

Matthew 25:21
King James Version

Grace B. Maxwell wrote a hymn that asks a question that all of us have to answer "IS HE SATISFIED WITH ME?"

"I am satisfied with Jesus, But a question comes to me As I ponder o’er His goodness, Is He satisfied with me?

Do I tell the blessèd story Of the Christ on Calvary, Doing all for His own glory: Is He satisfied with me?"

One day you and I will give an account to God of the way we treated His beloved Son. Will we have to hang our head in shame because we did not tell others that Jesus died on the cross so they can be saved and go to Heaven?

May God help all of us to get out of our comfort zone and spread the good news of our risen Saviour.  Jesus rose from the grave and He is alive today.

Pastor Robert Lowry wrote the beautiful, inspiring and heart touching hymn "CHRIST AROSE" Every time I hear someone sing these words or I sing them, I get tears of happiness in my eyes to know Jesus loves us this much.

"Up from the grave he arose; with a mighty triumph o'er his foes; he arose a victor from the dark domain, and he lives forever, with his saints to reign. He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!"

Jesus is still alive and He is waiting for you to come to Him with His heart full of love and His arms open wide. Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for you.

 ONE HAPPY DAY

"As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness."

Psalms 17:15
King James Version

Carrie E. Breck wrote the beautiful hymn "FACE TO FACE WITH CHRIST, MY SAVIOR". How I long for the day when I will have the privilege of seeing Jesus face to face.

"Face to face with Christ, my Savior, Face to face—what will it be, When with rapture I behold Him, Jesus Christ who died for me?

Face to face I shall behold Him, Far beyond the starry sky; Face to face in all His glory, I shall see Him by and by!

Only faintly now I see Him, With the darkened veil between, But a blessèd day is coming, When His glory shall be seen."

Are you ready to meet Jssus? We don't know when He is coming for us but He is coming and we need to be ready. If you have never invited Jesus into your heart to be your Saviour, I urge you to do it even as you read this devotion. Don't miss out on spending eternity with Jesus.

 LOVE AND FORGIVENESS

"When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more."

John 8:1o, 11
King James Version

We must hurt Jesus and break His heart many times when we refuse to forgive the one who have hurt us when He forgave us while hanging on the cross with the blood flowing down His body.

How dare you and I ask God to forgive us when we don't forgive those who have hurt us? I have to be honest and admit that I have to ask God many times to help me keep my big mouth shut when I am tempted to say something that will hurt someone just because that person hurt me. We read in the Bible.

"And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be." James 3:6-10

May God help all of us to be encouragers to one another and pray for one another instead of hurting Jesus and breaking His heart because of saying things to hurt people.

 JESUS FORGIVES US

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Romans 5:8
King James Version

Kurt Kaiser wrote the beautiful hymn "O HOW HE LOVES YOU AND ME". I am so glad to know Jesus loves us so much He died for us.

"O how He loves you and me, O how He loves you and me; He gave His life--what more could He give? O how He loves you; O how He loves me: O how He loves you and me!

Jesus to Calvary did go, His love for mankind to show; What He did there brought hope from despair: O how He loves you; O how He loves me; O how He loves you and me!"

Even when we hurt Him, Jesus still loves us. O that you and I would follow his example and love one another. We read in the Bible. "This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you." John 15:12

May God help all of us to love one another unconditionally and forgive each other just as Jesus loves us and forgives us. I love You, dear Jesus. One happy joyous day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.

Carrie E. Breck wrote the beautiful inspiring hymn "FACE TO FACE WITH CHRIST, MY SAVIOR" What a day of rejoicing it will be when we see Jesus.

"Face to face with Christ, my Savior, Face to face—what will it be, When with rapture I behold Him, Jesus Christ who died for me?
Only faintly now I see Him, With the darkened veil between, But a blessèd day is coming, When His glory shall be seen.

What rejoicing in His presence, When are banished grief and pain; When the crooked ways are straightened,And the dark things shall be plain."

May God have mercy on us if we refuse to forgive those who have hurt us. How dare you and I ask God to forgive us if we aren't willing to forgive those who have hurt us. Remember, Jesus is the only perfect Person who ever lived or ever will live.

 OUR SAVIOUR'S LOVE

"He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."

Isiah 53: 3-5
King James Version

Charles Wesley wrote a beautiful hymn about our Saviour "O THE BLOOD, THE PRECIOUS BLOOD",

"O the blood, the precious blood, That streams from yonder tree! Glory to th’incarnate God Who suffers death for me!
Rivers of salvation flow And springs of life from Thee, Saved from sin, I live, I know Thy blood hath ransomed me: Now I catch the healing tide Now I taste how good Thou art, Now I feel the blood applied, The pardon to my heart."

If you ever think nobody loves you, remember the cross and the blood that flowed from our Saviour's body as He hung there on the cross dying for our sins so we can be saved.

Thank God that He loves us so much He gave His beloved Son to die on the cross for our sins. I love You, Jesus. Thank You for dying for me and for never leaving me.

 OUR SAVIOUR STILL CARES

"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."

1 Peter 5:7
King James Version

No matter how many times we fail our Saviour and hurt Him we know that He still cares about us and still loves us. O that you and I would follow His example and love those who hurt us.

We need to remember that none of us are perfect. The only perfect person who ever lived or ever will live is Jesus. Our precious Saviour has done so much for us and all that He asks is that we love one another unconditionally as He loves us.

Can you honestly say that you always love unconditionally? I can't say that because there are times when I get upset and say things that hurt people. I pray many times for God to help me to keep my big mouth shut when I am tempted to say something that will hurt someone.

Heavenly Father, please forgive me for the times when I hurt You. Please help me keep quiet when someone hurts me. Help me to remember that You forgive me when I hurt You and that I don't have the right to ask You to forgive me if I am not willing to forgive those who hurt me. I love You and appreciate all You have done for me. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 DECISIONS

"Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision."

Joel 3:14
King James Version

We have many decisions to make but the most important decision you will ever make is what will you do with Jesus and where will you spend eternity.

We read in the Bible. "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" Mark 8:36.

All of us would like a big fancy car and live in a big house but the mansions that Jesus are preparing for us are more beautiful and more expensive than any thing we could ever build or buy. They were purchased with the blood of Jesus.

Rev. Robert Lowry wrote the beautiful inspiring hymn "NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD". I believe Rev. Lowry wrote this hymn from his love for Jesus.

"What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus; What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

For my pardon, this I see, Nothing but the blood of Jesus; For my cleansing this my plea, Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Oh! precious is the flow That makes me white as snow; No other fount I know, Nothing but the blood of Jesus."

Missionary Sundar Singh wrote the hymn "I HAVE DECIDED TO FOLLOW JESUS" We sing the words but do we mean what we are singing?

"I have decided to follow Jesus. I have decided to follow Jesus, I have decided to follow Jesus, No turning back, no turning back.

The world behind me, the cross before me, The world behind me, the cross before me, The world behind me, the cross before me, No turning back, no turning back."

I made the decision to ask Jesus in my heart on August 14, 1980. I have had the privilege and joy of serving Jesus full time since August 14, 1980. Are you serving Jesus? If not, you are hurting Him and breaking His heart.

 NOTHING AND NOBODY

"And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission."

Hebrews 9:22
King James Version

Pastor Robert Lowry wrote one of my favorite hymns "NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD" The words in this beautiful hymn are so true.

There is nothing we can do and no one can take sin from us. Only the blood of Jesus can take our sins away. O how much Jesus loves you and me. We have a compassionate and forgiving Saviour. I love You, dear Jesus.

 JESUS STILL LOVES US

"The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee."

Jeremiah 31:3
King James Version

The statement was made "How can this person expect me to be kind and loving after what this person said and did to me"? The question we need to ask is how can I expect Jesus to love me after the way I have acted and the things I have said to others that have hurt Him?

We need to remember that when we hurt others, we are hurting Jesus. We read in the Bible. "And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." Matthew 25:40.

Remember, when we hurt Jesus, we are also hurting our Heavenly Father. God loves His Son and it hurts Him when we hurt Jesus. We read in the Bible how much God loves His Son.

"And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." Matthew 3:16 17.

What does God see when He looks in your heart? Do the things in your heart make Him happy or do they hurt Him and break His heart? May God have mercy on us if we are hurting Him and His beloved Son.
