 HE IS WAITING

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."

Revelation 3:20
King James Version

Ralph Carmichael wrote a beautiful and inspiring hymn.  It is one of my favorite hymns "The Savior Is Waiting".  I love the words in this hymn and I'm so glad Jesus is waiting.

"The Savior is waiting to enter your heart Why don’t you let Him come in? There’s nothing in this world to keep you apart What is your answer to Him?

Time after time He has waited before And now He is waiting again To see if you are willing To open the door Oh, how He wants to come in.

If you’ll take one step Toward the Savior, my friend, You’ll find His arms open wide. Receive Him, and all of your darkness will end. Within your heart He’ll abide."

Is Jesus waiting for you?  Have you asked Him to forgive you for your sins and come into your heart to be your Saviour?  If not, I urge you to say yes to Jesus.  Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died on the cross and paid the price for your sins;  I love You, precious Jesus.  Thank You for everything.

 ARE YOU READY

"(A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.) O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.  Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name."

Psalms 63: 3, 4
King James Version

D. C. Murphy wrote a beautiful hymn "I’M ON THE WAY TO GLORY-LAND".

"I sought and found my Lord and king, His praises I will ever sing; And honor daily His command, While on the way to Glory-land.

So wonderful His love to me, He set my longing spirit free; His power hath broken Satan’s band, And leads me on to Glory-land.

Filled with Thy love, Lord, I would be, Forever saved and kept by Thee; And crowned at last at Thy right hand, A ransomed soul in Glory-land.

I’m on the way, I’m on the way, I go rejoicing day by day; I’m on the way, I’m on the way, I’m on my way to Glory-land."

I'm so glad I am going to Heaven to be with Jesus.  Are you on your way to Heaven?  If there has never been a time in your life when you admitted you are a sinner, asked God to forgive you and invited Jesus in your heart to be your Saviour.  I urge you to do it now.  Don't wait until tomorrow.  Jesus could come back even as you read this devotion.

Jesus loves you so much and He is waiting with open arms and a heart filled with unconditional love for you to come to Him.  O how He loves you!

Thank You, dear Jesus for saving me and for everything You have done for me, especially for never leaving me.  I love You and appreciate You so much.

 HIS CLEANSING BLOOD

"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."

1 John 1:7
King James Version

W. A. Wells wrote one of my favorite and heart touching hymns "THERE IS CLEANSING IN THE BLOOD".  Thank God for the blood of Jesus which cleanses us from sin.

"When the Savior came to dwell below On the cross His wondrous love to show, ’Twas that all this blessèd truth might know: There is cleansing in the blood.

’Twas for you the Lord was crucified, See His bleeding hands, His feet, His side; ’Twas for you He suffered thus and died: There is cleansing in the blood.

Hear and heed the Spirit’s pleading voice, Come! O come, and make the Lord your choice, And this truth will make you to rejoice: There is cleansing in the blood.

Savior dear, to Thee my heart I bring; Now accept my humble offering, That with all Thy saved ones I may sing, There is cleansing in the blood."

If you are reading this devotion, have you allowed it to go from head knowledge to heart knowledge that Jesus loves you so much He allowed them to crucify Him for your sins so you can have your sins forgiven and go to Heaven?

I have said this many times and I will keep saying it until God calls me home to Heaven "No one loves you like Jesus loves you and no one ever will".

If you are discouraged and feel like going to bed and staying there, tell Jesus.  He will pick you up in His loving arms and will carry you until the pain goes away.  O how our Saviour loves you!

I love You so much, dear Jesus and one happy day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face and I wll be with You for eternity.  Are you going to see Jesus and be with Him for eternity?

 A VERY SPECIAL DAY

"But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God."

Luke 18:16
King James Version

Today is a very special day for me.  August 14,1980 is the day that I asked God to forgive me for my sins and asked Jesus to come in my heart and be my Saviour.  It is the greatest day of my life.  The next great day will be the day I see Jesus face to face.

August 14,1980 is also the day that my daughter was born so I have a lot of joy and happiness in my heart today.

Children are so special.  Jesus loves all children and He is very protective of our children.  We can trust Him to take care of our children.

Jesus, thank You for dying on the cross for me and paying for my sins.  Thank You for coming to me when I couldn't come to You.  Precious Saviour, I love You so much and every time I think about how You came to me when I couldn't go to You, my heart is made to rejoice.

Squire Parsons wrote the beautiful, heart touching and inspiring hymn "He Came to Me".  What a Saviour!  What a Friend, this Jesus 0f Nazareth!

"The gulf that separated me from Christ, my Lord, It was so vast the crossing I could never ford; From where I was to His domain, it seemed so far, I cried, "Dear Lord, I cannot come to where you are."

He came to me, O, He came to me. When I could not come to where He was, He came to me. That's why He died on Calvary, When I could not come to where He was, He came to me.

He came to me when I was bound in chains of sin, He came to me when I possessed no hope within, He picked me up and He drew me gently to His side, Where, today, in His sweet love I now abide.

Yes, He came to me, O, He came to me. When I could not come to where He was, He came to me. That's why He died on Calvary, When I could not come to where He was, He came to me. When I could not come to where He was, He came to me."

Thank You, dear Jesus, for saving me and for comforting me when I am going through difficult situations and especially for never leaving me.  What a privilege and joy has been mine to serve You.

One happy and joyous day I will see You face to face.  I am going to give You a big hug and spend all eternity telling You how much I love You and how wonderful You are.  Thank You again for everything.

 ARE WE DOING IT

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

John 3:16
King James Version

The Blackwood Brothers sing one of my favorite hymns "You Are The Finger Of God".  Are we doing what we sing in this beautiful hymn?

"I prayed and I said, "Master I know a man. He needs you so, please take hold of his hand. Stretch forth Thy finger and touch him today." I prayed, then I listened, and I heard Him say...

"You are the finger of God don't you see? You know somebody who is in need. Point them to Calvary. Show them the way. You are the finger of God today."

Back on my knees, through my tears, I could see A vision so clear. It was so real to me. Then, He spoke to me in tones soft and low, And He said, "I'll go with you wherever you go."

Are we doing it?  Are we showing others the way?  Do others see the love of Jesus in us?  If we are not pointing them to Jesus by our words and our actions, we are hurting Jesus and breaking His heart.

Let's make a special effort to live for Jesus.  We are either serving Jesus or we are serving satan.  Who are you serving?  Do others see and hear the love of Jesus in you?
😊

Heavenly Father, please forgive me for the times I have hurt people because I didn't love as Jesus has commanded us to love others.  I pray that others will always see and hear the love that Jesus has for them in my words and in my actions.  In Jesus' Name, I pray.  Amen.

I love You, dear Jesus.  I look forward with joyful anticipation for the day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.  Thank You for everything, especially for never leaving me.

 ARE YOU PRAISING JESUS

"Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.  Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name."

If you have never admitted you are a sinner, asked God to forgive you and invited Jesus in your heart to be your Saviour, I urge you to do it even as you read this devotion.  Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for you.

I confessed my sins to God on August 14, 1980, asked Him to forgive me for my sins and invited Jesus into my heart to be my Saviour.  My birthday was July 7 but my spiritual birthday is August 14th.

We should fall on our knees and thank God for giving Jesus to die for our sins and thank our precious Saviour for enduring the pain and agony that He suffered on the cross when He died for our sins so we can be saved and go to Heaven when we die.

Thank You, precious Saviour for loving me, for dying for me and for never leaving me.  One happy joyous day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.  I love You so much and appreciate all You have done for me.

 HE COULDN’T MOVE

“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.”

Isaiah: 53: 4 - 6
King James Version

I have received several emails from people who told me that when they were in pain and hurting that they would go and sit in their recliners. I do the same thing because sometimes the pain from my arthritis is so intense that I feel like I am going to pass out.

Even if it is summer and very hot and I have my air conditioner on, I still put my afghan over my legs because the heat helps the pain.

Nothing could have helped the pain that Jesus endured while He hung on that cross of horror and agony for you and for me.
Oh dear people, our precious Saviour while hanging on that cross for us was in more agony and in more pain than anyone has ever experienced but He couldn’t go sit in a recliner because He couldn’t move.

He took all of our sins on Him and He endured all of that pain for us. He couldn’t put an afghan over His legs to help the pain.

There are no words that come close to adequately describing the pain, the loneliness, the rejection and the heartaches that He endured for you and for me. What a precious, what a compassionate and what a loving Saviour we have and what a price He paid for us, His very life!

He paid the price for our sins because we couldn’t pay it. Our Heavenly Father is a Holy God and He can’t look on sin. Jesus was sinless so He was the only one who could satisfy the requirements of a Holy God.

Our precious Saviour willingly hung there on that cruel cross of horror and pain for us. No one forced Him to die for us. He died for us out of obedience to His Father and out of a heart of love because His heart is filled with unconditional love and compassion for us.

Remember, Jesus said “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” (Matthew 25:40)

Are you making Jesus happy or are you making Him sad by the way you treat your family and your loved ones and a world that is hurting and desperately needs to know that someone cares about them?

When Jesus comes back for us, will He look at you with a smile on His face or will He look at you with sadness in His eyes because you didn’t love Him enough to get out of your comfort zone and call and visit people to tell them that Jesus loves them?  I love You so much, dear Jesus.  Thank You for everything!
