 WILL YOU GO

"Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;"

Matthew 9:37
King James Version

John Henry Sheppard wrote a hymn that all of us have to answer "CALL FOR WORKERS".  Jesus died on the cross for us and we need to answer His call and work for Him.

"In the vineyard of the Lord, There is work for all to do; Will you go and work today, With a purpose strong and true?

Heed the call, brother dear, For workers today; Let your eyes see the need Of workers today.

Brother, sister, hear the call! All along, your aid afford, Let us strive to save the lost Strive to save by work and word.

Oh, for workers strong and brave, Who will lift the banner high; So the lost can see the way, To the mansions in the sky."

Will you answer His call and work for Him today?  Jesus died on the cross for us and suffered pain and agony that you and I will never know.

We should work for Jesus to show Him how much we love Him and appreciate all He has done for us.  How much do you love Him?

 GOD'S LOVE LETTER TO US

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works."

2 Timothy 3:16,17
King James Version

Leander W. Munhall wrote the beautiful and inspiring hymn "GOD’S WORD".  I love the words in this hymn.

"The Bible was given That lost men may know The way into Heaven, And shun hell below. It does not deceive us; Is faithful to tell Of sin, death, and judgment, And torments of hell.

No word ever spoken By God to His own Was ever yet broken; ’Tis firm as His throne.

It then points to Jesus, Redeemer of all, The mighty who frees us From curse of the fall. It shows us our duty To God and to man In words of great beauty, And know them all can.

It tells us of Heaven, The home of the soul, And crowns to be given, While ages shall roll. Oh, Heaven-born treasure! We would have the more, In fullness of measure And richness of store."

It's just like our loving Heavenly Father to give us a love letter that comes from His heart.  Not only did He give us a love letter, He also gave His beloved Son to die on the cross so we can go to Heaven.

Have you made your reservation for Heaven?  If there has never been a time you told God you's sorry for your sins, asked Him to forgive you and invited Jesus into your heart to be your Saviour, please do it now even as you read this devotion.

Don't miss out on spending eternity with Jesus Who loves you so much He died for you on the cross.  When He died on the cross to save us from our sins, He paid the greatest price that was ever paid or ever will be paid.

I love You, Heavenly Father.  I love You, Jesus.  I love You, Holy Spirit.  Thank You for all You have done for us and all that You do for us every day. Worthy is the Lamb of God!

 KEEP SERVING JESUS

"So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:"

1 Corinthians 1:7
King James Version

Mrs. Ellen C. Worth wrote the hymn "ARE YOU WAITING?"  All of us need to answer this question.

"Are you waiting, brother, waiting, For the first bright ray of morn? Thro’ the gloom and darkness watching For the glad triumphant dawn?

Wait a little longer, brother, Work for Jesus while you wait; Soon beyond the darksome river He will meet you at the gate."

Knowing that Jesus is going to meet us should encourage us to keep serving Jesus.  When our Saviour was here on earth, He was cursed, spat on, mocked, beaten beyond recognition, and left alone to die for you and for me.

He was  crucified on the cross and endured pain and agony for your sins and for my sins, a pain we will never know.

Please join me in praising the Saviour of the world.  "ALL HAIL, KING JESUS"!  Worthy is the Lamb of God!  I love You, dear Jesus and look forward with joy and happiness to the day when I have the privilege of seeing You face to face.  Thank You for everything, especially for never leaving me.

 GIVE FROM YOUR HEART

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."

John 3:16, 17
King James Version

That is what our Heavenly Father did when He gave His beloved Son to die on the cross for your sins and for my sins.  He gave from His heart and you and I should be giving from our heart.

One day every one of us will stand before our Heavenly Father and give an account of how we treated His beloved Son and how we treated one another.

Let's give to one another because we love, not because we should.  We read in the Bible "Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:7

When is the last time that you told Jesus you love Him?  Have you ever told Him that you love Him?  I think sometimes we forget that Jesus has feelings also.  May God help us to be an encouragement to one another and also to our Saviour.  I love You, dear Jesus.

 TRUSTING JESUS

"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me."

John 14:1
King James Version

Edgar Page Stites wrote the beautiful heart touching and inspiring hymn "TRUSTING JESUS"  I love the words in this hymn.

"Simply trusting every day, Trusting through a stormy way; Even when my faith is small, Trusting Jesus, that is all.

Trusting as the moments fly, Trusting as the days go by; Trusting Him whate’er befall, Trusting Jesus, that is all."

I think there are times when we have more faith in a chair than we do in Jesus.  When we sit down in a chair, we don't stop to wonder if it will hold us, yet there are times when we wonder if Jesus can help us.

Not only can Jesus help us, He will help us because He loves us.  It breaks His heart when we are sad.  Thank You, precious Saviour, for loving us, for caring what happens to us and for walking that long lonely road to die on the cross to save us.

I love You so much and appreciate all You have done for me and all You do for me every day.

 TRUST JESUS

"The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him."

Psalms 28:7
King James Version

Rev. Vernon J. Charlesworth wrote a beautiful hymn about Jesus "A Shelter in the Time of Storm".  Yes, Jesus is our Shelter.  He is also our best Friend, our Comforter, and our loving Saviour.  I love the words in this hymn.

"The Lord's our rock, in Him we hide, A shelter in the time of storm; Secure whatever ill betide, A shelter in the time of storm. A Mighty Rock in a weary land, Cooling shade on the burning sand, Faithful guide for the pilgrim band- A shelter in the time of storm."

We love You, dear Jesus and we appreciate all You have done for us and all You do for us every day.  What a happy day it will be when I have the privilege of seeing You face to face.

 WHAT HAVE WE GIVEN

"I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep."

John 10:11
King James Version

Frances Ridley Havergal wrote a hymn about our loving Saviour that always brings tears to my eyes to know that He loves us so much "I GAVE MY LIFE FOR THEE".  He died for us.  What have we given for Him?

"I gave My life for thee, My precious blood I shed, That thou might ransomed be, And raised up from the dead. I gave, I gave My life for thee, What hast thou given for Me? I gave, I gave My life for thee, What hast thou given for Me?

My Father’s house of light, My glory circled throne I left for earthly night, For wanderings sad and lone; I left, I left it all for thee, Hast thou left aught for Me? I left, I left it all for thee, Hast thou left aught for Me?

I suffered much for thee, More than thy tongue can tell, Of bitterest agony, To rescue thee from hell. I’ve borne, I’ve borne it all for thee, What hast thou borne for Me? I’ve borne, I’ve borne it all for thee, What hast thou borne for Me?

And I have brought to thee, Down from My home above, Salvation full and free, My pardon and My love; I bring, I bring rich gifts to thee, What hast thou brought to Me? I bring, I bring rich gifts to thee, What hast thou brought to Me?"

Thank You, precious Saviour for loving us so much You died for us.  You are so wonderful and I love You so much and look forward to the day I will see You face to face.

 TELL JESUS

"I am come that you might have life and that you might have it more abundantly."

John 10:10
King James Version

Have you had days when everything seened to go wrong and no matter what you did to fix it, nothing helped?  I'm having that kind of day right now.  When I got up this morning and turned on my computer, I couldn't get online.

Jesus understands how we feel.  I'm sure there were many days when He felt lonely, heartbroken and that no one loved Him or cared about Him.

He left His home of love on the mission His Father had given Him to come to a world filled with hatred to die on the cross for your sins and for my sins.

Yes, our Saviour understands how frustrating it is when things go wrong and how much it hurts us when someone says something or does something that hurts us.

If we are saying unkind words or doing something that hurts someone, we need to stop it and ask God to forgive us.

Think how it hurts you when someone says or does something that hurts you.
May God help all of us to be kind and loving to one another.

Thank You, Heavenly Father for giving Your beloved Son to die on the cross for our sins.
Thank You, Jesus for loving us enough to die for us.

 NO OTHER WAY

"I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture."

John 10:9
King James Version

Several years ago I heard someone say "It is because of me that this person is saved." That is a lie!  It is only because Jesus loves us so much that we can be saved through the blood that He shed for us on the cross.

Cecil F. Alexander wrote the hymn "THERE IS A GREEN HILL FAR AWAY".  I am so glad that Jesus loved us enough to walk that long lonely road and allow them to crucify Him on the cross for our sins.

"There is a green hill far away, Outside a city wall, Where the dear Lord was crucified, Who died to save us all.

O dearly, dearly, has He loved, And we must love Him, too, And trust in His redeeming blood, And try His works to do.

We may not know, we cannot tell, What pains He had to bear; But we believe it was for us He hung and suffered there.

He died that we might be forgiv’n, He died to make us good, That we might go at last to Heav’n, Saved by His precious blood.

There was no other good enough To pay the price of sin; He only could unlock the gate Of heaven and let us in."

Yes, the cleansing blood of Jesus is the only way to Heaven.  If you have never admitted you are a sinner, asked God to forgive you and invited Jesus into your heart to be your Saviour, I urge you to do it now.

Don't miss out on spending eternity with Jesus.  I love You so much dear Jesus and look forward to the happy day when I will see You face to face. Thank You for dying for me and for all You do for me every day.

 THE SOUND OF LOVE

"In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."

1 Corinthians 15:52
King James Version

Bill and Gloria Gaither wrote the beautiful inspiring hymn "The King is Coming".  Are you ready to meet Jesus if He should come back while you are reading this devotion?

"The marketplace is empty, No more traffic in the streets, All the builders' tools are silent, No more time to harvest wheat, Busy housewives cease their labors, In the courtroom no debate, Work on earth is all suspended As the King comes thro' the gate.

O the King is coming, The King is coming! I just heard the trumpets sounding, And now His face I see, O the King is coming, The King is coming! Praise God, He's coming for me!

Happy faces line the hallways, Those whose lives have been redeemed, Broken homes that He has mended, Those from prison He has freed, Little children and the aged Hand in hand stand all aglow, Who were crippled, broken, ruined, Clad in garments white as snow.

I can hear the chariots rumble, I can see the marching throng, The flurry of God's trumpets Spells the end of sin and wrong: Regal robes are now unfolding, Heaven's grandstand's all in place, Heaven's choir now assembled, Start to sing "Amazing Grace!"

O the King is coming, The King is coming! I just heard the trumpets sounding, And now His face I see, O the King is coming, The King is coming! Praise God, He's coming for me!"

I was asked to leave a choir one time because I was told I was singing off key and it broke my heart.  One day I will sing in Heaven's choir.  What a day of happiness and joy it will be when I am singing to Jesus.

I love You so much dear Jesus.  Thank You for everything You have done for me especially for never leaving me.  I am going to give You a big hug and spend eternity telling You how wonderful You are and how much I love You.

 FOLLOW HIS EXAMPLE

"The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy."

Psalms 103:8
King James Version

If we would follow the example of our loving Saviour, we not only would have a happier life, we would also make our Saviour happy.  Making Jesus happy should be the goal of every person.  After all that Jesus has done for us He deserves to be happy and praised.

Are you following His example and loving others unconditionally as He has commanded us to love others?  Just think where we would be if Jesus hadn't loved us when we were not Christians.

I'm so glad Jesus loved me enough to die on the cross for my sins.  I was not a very nice person.  Have you allowed it to go from head knowledge to heart knowledge how much Jesus loves you?

Squire Parsons wrote the beautiful heart touching and inspiring hymn "He Came to Me" which tells us how much Jesus loves us and cares about us.

"The gulf that separated me from Christ, my Lord, It was so vast the crossing I could never ford; From where I was to His domain, it seemed so far, I cried, "Dear Lord, I cannot come to where you are."

He came to me, O, He came to me. When I could not come to where He was, He came to me. That's why He died on Calvary, When I could not come to where He was, He came to me.

He came to me when I was bound in chains of sin, He came to me when I possessed no hope within, He picked me up and He drew me gently to His side, Where, today, in His sweet love I now abide.

He came to me, O, He came to me. When I could not come to where He was, He came to me. That's why He died on Calvary, When I could not come to where He was, He came to me.

Yes, He came to me, O, He came to me. When I could not come to where He was, He came to me. That's why He died on Calvary, When I could not come to where He was, He came to me. When I could not come to where He was, He came to me."

Yes, Jesus came to us.  Have you gone to Him and told Him how much you love Him and appreciate all He has done for you?  If not, you are hurting Him and breaking His heart.  I love You, dear Jesus, and I appreciate all You have done for me.

 NO TIME

"So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation."

Hebrews 9:28
King James Version

Rev.  John Wilbur Chapman wrote the hymn "One Day".  We need to be ready when Jesus comes back for us because there will be no time to invite Jesus into our heart when He comes back for  us.

"One day when Heaven was filled with His praises, One day when sin was as black as could be, Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin, Dwelt among men, my example is He!
Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me; Buried, He carried my sins far away; Rising, He justified freely forever; One day He’s coming—oh, glorious day!

One day they led Him up Calvary’s mountain, One day they nailed Him to die on the tree; Suffering anguish, despised and rejected: Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He!

One day they left Him alone in the garden, One day He rested, from suffering free; Angels came down o’er His tomb to keep vigil; Hope of the hopeless, my Savior is He!

One day the grave could conceal Him no longer, One day the stone rolled away from the door; Then He arose, over death He had conquered; Now is ascended, my Lord evermore!

One day the trumpet will sound for His coming, One day the skies with His glories will shine; Wonderful day, my beloved ones bringing; Glorious Savior, this Jesus is mine!"

Yes, when the trumpet sounds and Jesus comes back for us there will be no time to invite Jesus into your heart.  If you have never told God you're sorry for your sins and invited Jesus into your heart, please do it even as you read this devotion.  Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for you.  I love You, dear Jesus.

 ARE YOU WILLING

"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

Matthew 28:18-20
King James Version

W. J. Ilsley wrote a hymn that should not only challenge every Christian to tell the good news of Jesus but also enourage us to share the good news of our risen Saviour "CARRY THE TIDINGS".  The words in this hymn are beautiful and inspiring.

"Rise! ye people, who have heard The Gospel’s joyful call—Ye on whom its sacred truths Like dews of Heaven fall. Rise and bear to distant homes, Scatter wide o’er hill and plain, Joyful news that Jesus comes To reign on earth again.

Rise! and in the might of Him Whose chosen ones ye be, Bid the story of His love Be known from sea to sea. Rise in majesty and strength, Go in consciousness of power, And the barren plains at length Shall bear bright Sharon’s flower.

On broad prairies stretching far, On hill and mountain side, And where swiftly running streams Thro’ fertile valleys glide. There the waiting people dwell, Hungry, starving souls they be, Longing for the fruit which fell From life’s exhaustless tree.

Take to them the bread of life, The living waters bear; Feed the hungry, cheer the faint, With them thy bounty share. Then when time shall be no more, And th’archangel trump shall sound, They shall stand on Canaan’s shore, Who life and peace have found."

If Jesus was willing to leave His Father, His home and all that He had to come to earth and die on the cross so we can be saved and go to Heaven when we die, all of us should be willing to serve Jesus.

What about it?  Are you willing to serve Jesus?  To serve Him, we have to get out of our comfort zone and not only tell people that Jesus loves them, we also need to prove to them that Jesus loves them by our kind and loving actions.

I love You so much, dear Jesus.  Knowing that one day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face fills my heart to overflowing with happiness and joy.  Thank You for everything You have done for me, especially for never leaving me.

 THE SAVIOUR IS PLEADING

"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:."

John 1:12
King James Version

J. L. Louderback wrote a beautiful hymn "THE PLEADING VOICE The Voice of Love" . I love the words in this hymn.

"Weary, wand’ring child of grief, Hear the Savior’s pleading voice; If you only come to Him, He will make your heart rejoice.

O receive Him, O, believe Him; Christ in mercy bids you come; He’ll receive you, He’ll relieve you, And prepare you for His home.

Tho’ your soul be foul with sin, He can make you white as snow; Do you sigh for peace within? To the living fountain go.

Wand’rer, then, retrace thy course, Trust thy soul to His dear love, Now the Savior pleads for thee, In the courts of Heav’n above.

When life’s weary race is run, And thy conflicts all are past, Heav’n in view, the vict’ry won, God will crown you His at last."

Jesus, all the words in the world couldn't express how much I loveYou. When I think about You allowing them to crucify You for my sins, there is only one thing I can say to You and that is to tell You over and over how much I love You.

To know that one day I am going to have the privilege of seeing You face to face brings tears of joy and happiness to my eyes. Thank You so much for loving me when I was so unlovely.

 STILL RECEIVING

"And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them."

Luke 15:2
King James Version

Rev. Erdmann Neumeister wrote an inspiring hymn "CHRIST RECEIVETH SINFUL MEN". I'm so glad Jesus loves us enough to forgive our sins and receive us.

"Sinners Jesus will receive; Sound this word of grace to all Who the heavenly pathway leave, All who linger, all who fall.

Sing it o’er and over again; Christ receiveth sinful men; Make the message clear and plain: Christ receiveth sinful men.

Come, and He will give you rest; Trust Him, for His Word is plain; He will take the sinfulest; Christ receiveth sinful men.

Now my heart condemns me not, Pure before the law I stand; He who cleansed me from all spot, Satisfied its last demand.

Christ receiveth sinful men, Even me with all my sin; Purged from every spot and stain, Heaven with Him I enter in."

Are you shouting with happiness and excitement? Knowing that Jesus loves us so much to receive us even when are so sinful should be enough to make all of us fall on our knees and thank and praise Him for His unconditional love.

What a Saviour! What a Friend, this Jesus of Nazareth! There is no one like our precious Saviour. No one else would have walked that long lonely road to Calvary and allowed them to pound nailis in their hands.

I love You, dear Jesus. Thank You for everything. I look forward with happiness and excitement to the day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.

 JOY IN HEAVEN

"Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth."

Luke 15:10
King James Version

M. A. Dodge wrote a beautiful hymn "THE ANGELS’ JOY". I love the words in this inspiring hymn.

"There is joy among the angels, When the children seek the fold; How they tune their harps and voices, Gathered ’round the gates of gold.

Then to Jesus come away; Hear Him kindly, gently say, Suffer all the little children, Bid them come to Me today.

There is joy among the angels, When a soul by sin oppressed, To the Savior turns repenting, And receives the promised rest.

There is joy among the angels, As they bear the news to Heaven, Of a child on earth rejoicing, O’er the bliss of sins forgiven."

Have the angels rejoiced because you gave your heart and life to Jesus? If you have never opened the door of your heart and invited Jesus to come in to be your Saviour, I urge you to do it even as you read this devotion. Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for you.

 JESUS CARES AND LOVES US

"For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee."

Isaiah 30:19
King James Version

Kurt Kaiser wrote the beautiful hymn "O How He Loves You and Me" and our Saviour does love us. He loves us so much He allowed them to crucify Him on the cross for our sins.
I have said this many times and I will keep saying it. No one loves us like Jesus loves us and nobody ever will.

It doesn't matter if we are hurting emotionally or physically our loving Saviour is with us and He will pick us up in His loving arms and will carry us until the pain goes away. He will be faithful to set us once again on the mountain top of happiness.

How much do you love Jesus? Have you told Him today that you love Him? If not, you are hurting Him and breaking His heart. He has feelings too or He would never have allowed them to crucify Him on the cross for somthing He had not done.

Please lift your voice and your hands and join me in praising the "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS". He is worthy to be praised, loved and adored. I love You, dear Jesus.

 ARE WE HELPING OTHERS

"Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD."

Leviticus 19:18
King James Version

William M. Golden wrote the hymn "A BEAUTIFUL LIFE". I love the words in this hymn.

"Each day I’ll do a golden deed, By helping those who are in need, My life on earth is but a span, And so I’ll do the best I can, The best I can.

Life’s evening sun is sinking low, A few more days and I must go To meet the deeds that I have done, Where there will be no setting sun.

To be a child of God each day, My light must shine along the way; I’ll sing His praise while ages roll And strive to help some troubled soul, Some troubled soul.

The only life that will endure, Is one that’s kind and good and pure; And so for God I’ll take my stand, Each day I’ll lend a helping hand, A helping hand.

I’ll help someone in time of need, And journey on with rapid speed; I’ll help the sick and poor and weak, And words of kindness to them speak, Kind words I’ll speak."

Are we being a lighthouse of unconditional love for Jesus even when someone hurts us? I have to admit that there are times when God has to take me out to His woodshed because I have said something that hurt someone.

If God can love us unconditionally even after we crucified His beloved Son on the cross, then you and I can love others unconditionally as Jesus has commanded us to love others.

Heavenly Father, please forgive me for the times when I say things that hurt others. I don't want to do it but sometimes I do and I'm sorry.

I pray for my beloved Pastor. Please touch him and heal him and let him know how much You love him. I love You, Heavenly Father. I love You, Jesus. I love You, Holy Spirit. Thank You, Jesus, for all You have done for me and for all You do for me every day, especially for never leaving me. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 I CARE

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."

John 3:16, 17
King James Version

Do you ever feel like nobody cares when you're lonely, discouraged or in pain? God cares so much for us that He gave His beloved Son to die on the cross for our sins so we can be savd and go to Heaven when we die.

Jesus cares for us so much that He walked that long lonely road to Calvary and allowed them to beat Him beyond recognition, curse Him, spit on Him, mock Him and pound nails into His precious hands.

If we will listen with our heart, we will hear Them tell us that They care. Thank You, Heavenly Father and Jesus for caring and for all You have done for us and for all You do for us every day. We love You and appreciate You.

 HE LOVES US SO MUCH

"I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep."

John 10:11
King James Version

Dottie Rambo wrote one of my favorite hymns "He Looked Beyond My Faults". Thank God that He loved us enough to give His beloved Son to die on the cross for our sins so we can be saved and go to Heaven when we die. I love the words in this inspiring hymn.

"Amazing Grace shall always be my song of praise For it was grace that brought me liberty I do not know just why He ever came to love me so He looked beyond my faults and saw my need

And I shall forever lift mine eyes to Calvary To view the cross where Jesus died for me How marvelous the grace that caught my falling soul He looked beyond my faults and saw my need".

Jesus has done everything for us, including dying on the cross so we can be saved and go to Heaven when we die. What have we done for Him and what are we doing for Him?

Every one of us has to answer this question. How sad it would be if we would have to say that we aren't doing anything for Jesus.

May God have mercy on us and forgive us if we are hurting His beloved Son. I love You so much, Jesus, and I look foward to the joyous happy day when I will see You face to face.

 THE SAVIOUR IS PLEADING

"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:"

John 1:12
King James Version

J. L. Louderback wrote an inspiring and heart touching hymn about our precious Saviour "THE PLEADING VOICE The Voice of Love". How it brings tears of happiness of my eyes to know how much Jesus loves us.

If you have never invited Jesus into your heart to be your Saviour, please do it even as you read this devotion. The Saviour is waiting for you to come to Him with His arms open wide to receive you and a heart filled with love you.

Nobody loves you like Jesus loves you and nobody ever will. Allow Jesus to pick you up in His arms of unconditional love and carry you. Thank You, Jesus, for loving us. We love You and appreciate You.

 WE CAN TRUST JESUS

"And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:"

Ruth 1:16
King James Version

Thomas E. Hall wrote the hymn "WHERE THOU GOEST, I WILL GO". Are we willing to go with Jesus no matter where He leads us?

"Where’er Thou goest, I will go, Dear Savior, lead the way; Just where, or how, I do not know, But Thou’ll not lead astray.

Where’er Thou goest, I will go, Near Thee I’ll keep each day; Where’er Thou goest, I will go, Thro’ all life’s weary way.

Where’er Thou goest, I will go, Tho’ up the mountain steep; A faithful guide Thou art, I know, So close to Thee I’ll keep.

Where’er Thou goest, I will go, Though in some lonely dell; Thou wilt be there, how sweet to know, And cheerless hours dispel.

Where’er Thou goest, I will go, Through all my life’s rough way; And at its end, I’ll pass, I know, Into an endless day."

One happy day our precious Saviour is coming back for us. Are you ready to go if He should come today? If there has never been a time in your life when you admitted you are a sinner, asked God to forgive you for your sins and invited Jesus to come in your heart and be your Saviour, I urge you to do it even as you read this devotion.

Don't miss out on spending eternity with Jesus. He loves you so much He died for you on the cross and He is waiting for you to come to Him with His arms open wide and a heart filled with unconditional love for you.

I love You so much, dear Jesus. Thank You for dying for my sins on the cross. One day, I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face. What a day of rejoicing and happiness that is going to be.

 GIVE HIM PRAISE

"And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."

Luke 2:13, 14
King James Version

Have you allowed it to go from head knowledge to heart knowledge that our Heavenly Father loves you so much He gave His beloved Son to die on the cross for you?
Rev. Thomas Ken wrote the beautiful hymn "PRAISE GOD, FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW".

"Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; Praise Him, all creatures here below; Praise Him above, ye heavenly host; Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost."

Are we praising Them? If not, we are hurting Them and breaking Their heart. Think about it! God loves us so much He gave His beloved Son to die on the cross for us.
Jesus loves us so much He died on the cross for us and paid the penalty for our sins that we could never have paid.

Rev. Francis Bottome wrote a beautiful inspiring hymn "THE COMFORTER HAS COME" I love the words in this hymn.

"O spread the tidings ’round, Wherever man is found, Wherever human hearts And human woes abound; Let every Christian tongue Proclaim the joyful sound: The Comforter has come!

The Comforter has come, The Comforter has come! The Holy Ghost from Heav’n, The Father’s promise giv’n; O spread the tidings ’round, Wherever man is found— The Comforter has come!"

Heavenly Father, You are so precious, I love You so much. Thank You for loving us and for giving Your beloved Son to die on the cross for our sins so we can be saved and go to Heaven.

Thank You for giving us the Holy Spirit to comfort and encourage us. Please help all of us to be an encourager to all we see. I love You, dear Father, and I appreciate all You have done for me and all You do for me every day. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 WHAT AN AMAZING LOVE

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Romans 5:8
King James Version

Frank Allaben wrote the beautiful hymn "JESUS, MY SAVIOR, DIED". What an amazing unconditional love Jesus gave us when He allowed them to crucify Him on the cross for our sins.

"Jesus, my Savior, died, nailed to the tree— Cruelly crucified, stricken for me! Darkness there shut Him in! God judged Him for my sin! Jesus, my soul to win, died there for me!
Jesus, my Savior, rose out of the grave! Captive He led my foes, my soul to save! Jesus in Heaven now, glory upon His brow, Calleth to men below, sinners to save!

Jesus, my Savior, lives for me above; Mercy and grace He gives freely in love; By my infirmity tenderly moved is He; Sweet is His sympathy, sweet is His love!

Jesus! beyond the sky, now on God’s throne, Looking with loving eye down on Thine own; Soon in that wondrous place Sweetly we’ll sing Thy grace, Gazing upon Thy face—all of Thine own!"

Do you realize what a privilege is ours to be loved by the Saviour of the world? Why does Jesus love us so much? It is because that is Who Jesus is, His heart is filled with unconditional love for you and me.

There is nothing we could ever do that would make Jesus stop loving us. I think one of the things that hurts Him so much is when we don't talk to Him every day. If we have time to do things and go places then we have time for Jesus.

Do you make time for Jesus every day? Is He first in your heart, in your time and in everything you do? One day every one of us will stand before God and give an account of the way we treated His beloved Son. Will we be able to look Him in the eye or will we have to look away because we hurt His beloved Son?

How much do you love Jesus? Do you love Him? Have you told Him that you love Him? He has feelings too. If Jesus isn't first in our life, we are hurting Him and breaking His heart.

Jesus, thank You for dying for me and paying the price for my sins, a price I could never have paid. One happy joyous day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face. What a day of rejoicing that is going to be and I will be with You for eternity.

I love You so much, dear Jesus. Thank You for everything You have done for me, especially for never leaving me.
