 GIVE HIM PRAISE

"While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being."

Psalms 146:2
King James Version

Fanny Crosby wrote the beautiful hymn "PRAISE HIM, PRAISE HIM". Please join me in praising the One Who loves us so much He died for us.

"Praise Him, praise Him— Jesus, our blessèd Redeemer, Sing, O earth, His wonderful love proclaim. Hail Him! hail Him! highest archangels in glory; Strength and honor give to His holy name!

Like a shepherd, Jesus will guard His children, In His arms He carries them all day long: Praise Him, praise Him ever in joyful song."

Heavenly Father, thank You for all that You do for us. Thank You for loving us so much You gave Your beloved Son to die on the cross to save us. I love You, Heavenly Father. I love You, Jesus. I love You, Holy Spirit. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 OUR PRECIOUS LOVING SAVIOUR

"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."

Luke 2:11-14
King James Version

F. E. Pettingell wrote a beautiful hymn about Jesus "CHRIST IS BORN, THE PROMISED SAVIOR". I love the words in this hymn.

"Christ is born, the promised Savior, Heaven with joyous music rings; Christ is born, the Lord’s anointed, Prince of peace and King of kings.

Christ is born, O blessèd story! Ages old, yet ever new; Christ is born, extol, enshrine Him, Give the King His rightful due."

It doesn't have to be Christmas day to sing and praise our beautiful Saviour. Please lift your voice and heart with me and join me in praising the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. I love You, dear Jesus.

A HEART FI LLED WITH LOVE

"And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots."

Luke 23:33, 34
King James Version

Jesus has a heart filled with love, unconditional love. He had a heart of unconditional love for us when He left His Father, His home and all that He had to come to earth to die on the cross and pay the penalty for us, for our sins, for something He did not do.

Jesus had a heart filled with unconditional love for us when He walked that long lonely road to Calvary and allowed them to spit on Him, mock Him, hit Him and crucify Him on the cross for something He did not do.

Jesus never sinned, not one time and yet He allowed them to beat Him beyond recognition. Jesus could have come down from the cross if He wanted to do so. Ray Overholt wrote a beautiful heart touching hymn about our Saviour "TEN THOUSAND ANGELS".

"They bound the hands of Jesus In the garden where He prayed They led Him thro' the streets in shame They spat upon the Savior So pure and free from sin They said crucify Him He's to blame

He could have called ten thousand angels To destroy the world and set Him free He could have called ten thousand angels But He died alone for you and me."

Yes, Jesus did all of this for us. When He hung on the cross with the blood flowing down His body and the nails pounded into His precious hands, He proved to us how much He loves us.

What are we doing to prove to Him how much we love Him? Do we love Him? May God have mercy on us if we are hurting His beloved Son. Thank You, Jesus, for dying for me and for loving me when I was so unlovely.

 DO WE

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.”

Matthew 22:37

King James Version

Do we love Him like we should love Him? Every one of us has to answer this question. We can say anything but God can see what is in our heart and He knows if we love Him or if we are just saying we love Him.

What about you? Does God know you love Him by the things you do and the things you say? Are we making Him happy or are we hurting Him and breaking His heart?

 SHOUT THE VICTORY

"And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him."

Matthew 25:6
King James Version

Carl A. Blackmore wrote one of my very favorite hymns "Some Golden Daybreak".

"Some Glorious Morning Sorrow Will Cease, Some Glorious Morning All Will Be Peace; Heartaches All Ended, Schooldays All Done, Heaven Will Open, Jesus Will Come.

Some Golden Daybreak, Jesus Will Come; Some Golden Daybreak, Battles All Won, He’ll Shout The Victory, Break Through The Blue, Some Golden Daybreak, For Me, For You."

Some happy day Jesus is coming back for us. Are you ready if He comes back for us while you are reading this devotion? If not, I urge you to invite Jesus into your heart right now. Don't miss out on spending eternity with Jesus.

 IMPOSSIBLE

"Come and hear, all ye that fear God", and I will declare what he hath done for my soul."

Psalms 6:16
King James Version

Ina Mae Duley Ogdon wrote a beautiful hymn "THE STORY NEVER OLD". I love the words in this hymn.

"They tell me that the story Of my Savior has grown old; It never will be old to me. It grows more sweet and precious As again I hear it told; It never will be old to me."

I could hear about Jesus all day and never get tired of hearing His precious Name. I don't think any of us, including me, have any idea of how wonderful, precious and sweet Jesus is or how much He loves us. It is impossible to tell you how much I love Jesus.

Jesus, I love You with all my heart and look forward to the happy and joyous day when I will see You face to face. Thank You for dying for my sins, for giving me a new heart, for never leaving me and for everything you do for me every day.

 THE STORY OF LOVE

"Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul."

Psalms 66:16
King James Version

Ina Mae Duley Ogdon wrote a beautiful hymn "THE STORY NEVER OLD". I love the words in this hymn.

"They tell me that the story Of my Savior has grown old; It never will be old to me. It grows more sweet and precious As again I hear it told; It never will be old to me."

One of my favorite hymns is "TELL ME THE STORY OF JESUS" by Fanny Crosby. There is no story or sweeter name than the story and name of Jesus.

"Tell me the story of Jesus, Write on my heart every word. Tell me the story most precious, Sweetest that ever was heard. Tell how the angels in chorus, Sang as they welcomed His birth. Glory to God in the highest! Peace and good tidings to earth."

Are you telling your family that Jesus loves them so much He died for them? Several years ago I heard a young man in church give his testimony during testimony time. He said "I'm a Christian today because my mother prayed for me".

Jesus has set the example for us to follow. He prays for us. "But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren." (Luke 22:32)

Do our children know we love Jesus by our kind words and actions? If we want our children to be kind and loving to others, they need to see us being kind and loving to others.

May God help all of us to be kind and loving to one another. It will make Jesus happy. Making Jesus happy should be the goal of every person. Are you making Jesus happy? Only you can answer that question.

OUR HOME IS WAITING

"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."

John 14:1-3
King James Version

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day and the most important reason we have to be thankful and celebrate Thanksgiving with our loved ones is knowing that Jesus has prepared mansions for us and one happy joyous day we will have the privilege of being with our precious Saviour forever! Are you shouting with happiness yet?

I love my beloved sister so much and she has decorated my home with many beautiful things. God knew I would need extra help so He made us sisters. Even though we no longer live close like we used to do, she is in my heart and will always have a very special place in my heart. My sister decorated my home but only Jesus could decorate my heart.

I have been told how wonderful I am because I have written a devotion every day for over twenty years. I really appreciate all of the encouragement as all of us need to be encouraged.

However, keep your eyes on Jesus. Don't look to me, to your pastor or to your Sunday school teacher, look to Jesus. He will never fail you. He loves you so much He willingly walked that long lonely road to Calvary and allowed them to spit on Him, curse Him, mock Him and pound nails into His precious hands. He did all of that because He loves us so much.

I have said this many times and I will keep saying it until God calls me home. Nobody loves you like God and Jesus love you and nobody ever will. O how I love Jesus!

The Happy Goodman's sing one of my favorite hymns "Who Am I?" I am so thankful that Jesus loves me even when I sometimes hurt Him and fail Him.

"When I think of how He came so far from Glory, came and dwelt among the lowly such as I, To suffer shame and such disgrace on Mount Calvary take my place: then I ask myself the question, Who am I?"

If you have never asked God to forgive you for your sins and invited Jesus into your heart to be your Saviour, I urge you to do it even as you read this devotion. Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for you.

 THANKFUL FOR JESUS

"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord."

Luke 2:11
King James Version

I know it isn't Christmas but we can be thankful for the birth of Jesus every day of our lives. Thanksgiving is only two days away and we will be with our family and firneds but if it wasn't for the birthday of our Saviour there wouldn't be a Thanksgiving Day and we would have no reason to celebrate.

Carrie E. Breck wrote a beautiful hymn about our Saviour "FACE TO FACE WITH CHRIST, MY SAVIOR". Have you allowed it to go from head knowledge to heart knowledge that we are going to see Jesus face to face?

"Face to face with Christ, my Savior, Face to face—what will it be, When with rapture I behold Him, Jesus Christ who died for me?

Only faintly now I see Him, With the darkened veil between, But a blessèd day is coming, When His glory shall be seen.

Face to face I shall behold Him, Far beyond the starry sky; Face to face in all His glory, I shall see Him by and by!"

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving us. Thank You for Jesus. What a healing balm it is to know that You will never hit us or kick us out of Heaven. I love You, dear Father. I love You, precious Jesus. I love You Holy Spirit. In Jesus Name, I pray. Amen.

 HERE COMES OUR SAVIOUR

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17
King James Version

When a man and woman get married, the bride walks down the aisle to meet the groom and everyone stands as the bride walks down the aisle.

When Jesus comes back for us every knee will bow to Him. What a beautful sight that will be as He finally gets the praise that He so richly deserves.

We read in the Bible "That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Philippians 2:10,11

What a beautiful sight that is going to be when Jesus finally gets the praise, the recognition and glory that He so richly deserves. Jesus does so much for us yet He still is being hurt every day because of the way we treat one another.

Jesus has given us a command. It is not an option. It is a command. We read in the Bible "This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you." John 15:12

Albert E. Brumley wrote one of my favorite hymns "I’ll Fly Away". I love the words in this inspiring and heart touching hymn.

"Some glad morning when this life is over, I’ll fly away; To a home on God’s celestial shore, I’ll fly away (I’ll fly away).
’ll fly away, Oh Glory I’ll fly away; (in the morning) When I die, Hallelujah, by and by, I’ll fly away (I’ll fly away).

When the shadows of this life have gone, I’ll fly away; Like a bird from prison bars has flown, I’ll fly away (I’ll fly away)."

Don't miss out on going to Heaven with Jesus when He comes back for us. If you have never admitted you are a sinner, asked God to forgive your sins and invited Jesus into your heart to be your Saviour, I urge you to do it even as you read this devotion.

Don't miss out on spending eternity with Jesus. Don't keep rejecting Him and breaking His heart.

 OUR LOVING SAVIOUR

"He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young."

Isaiah 40:11
King James Version

Sadie Carney wrote the hymn "LEAD US GENTLY". We have a loving Saviour Who not only protects us, He also leads us and guies us.

"Blessèd Savior, lead us gently Thro’ the rugged paths of life; Lead us thro’ the vale of shadows, From this world of sin and strife. Lead us, Jesus, thro’ the shadows To that bright eternal life; Lead us thro’ the vale of shadows, From this world of sin and strife."

Thank You, Jesus, for all You do for us. We appreciate it and love You.

 HE IS WORHY

"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."

John 14:2, 3
King James Version

Mary Batchelder wrote the hymn "WHEN WE REACH THE BRIGHT MANSIONS". What a happy day it will be when we go to Heaven to live in the mansions Jesus is preparing for us.

"When we reach those bright mansions in glory, And the King in His beauty we see; When we drink of the life giving fountain, What a joy, what a rapture ’twill be.

Multitudes that no man can number, They meet on that beautiful shore; They are singing their praises to Jesus, Who is worthy of praise evermore."

Don Moen sings the beautiful, inspiring and heart touching hymn "Worthy, You Are Worthy". How true the words in this hymn are and how we should sing them with our heart to our precious Saviour.

"Worthy, You are worthy, King of kings, Lord of lords, You are worthy. Worthy, You are worthy, King of kings, Lord of lords, I worship you.

Holy, You are Holy, King of kings, Lord of lords, You are Holy, Holy, You are Holy, King of kings, Lord of lords, I worship you.

Jesus, You are Jesus, King of kings, Lord of lords, You are Jesus. Jesus, You are Jesus, King of Kings, Lord of lords, I worship you."

Please lift your heart and voices to Jesus and join me in praising the "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS". O how I love You, Jesus, and one happy joyous day I will be with You forever!.

 A DAY OF VICTORY

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words."

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
King James Version

Evangelist Edward S. Fogg wrote a beautiful hymn "OUR COMING LORD". I love the words in this inspiring hymn.

"When the trumpet sounds announcing Jesus near, With the heav’nly angels’ voices ringing clear,
We will join the chorus as we catch the chord, Singing hallelujahs to our coming Lord.

We’ll be waiting, we’ll be watching When our Savior comes from glory; We’ll be waiting, we’ll be watching, And shout when Jesus comes."

Are you shouting wiht happiness to know that one happy day we will see Jesus face to face and live with Him in Heaven for all eternity?

 WHAT IF

"She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more."

John 8:11
King James Version

A lady said to her dad "I will never forgive you for what you did". Where would we be if Jesus had said that to us? What if Jesus hadn't allowed them to crucify Him on the cross for us? We would be on our way to hell with no way to escape. I don't think any of us have any idea of how much Jesus loves us.

Dottie Rambo sings a beautiful hymn about our precious Saviour "If That Isn't Love". The words in this hymn bring tears to my eyes to know Jesus loves us this much. I've said this many times "No one loves us like Jesus loves us and no one ever will".

"He left the Splendor of Heaven Knowing His destiny Was the lonely hill of Golgotha there to lay down His life for me.
If that isn't love the ocean is dry there's no stars in the sky and the sparrow can't fly if that isn't love then Heavens a myth there's no feeling like this if that isn't love.

Even in death He remembered the thief hanging by His side He spoke with love and compassion then He took him to Paradise."

Precious Saviour, You are so wonderful and I love You so much. Thank You for dying for me, for saving me, for giving me a new heart and for giving me a life filled with happiness. I love You with all my heart and look forward to the day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.

 EVERY DAY

"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."

1 Peter 5:7
King James Version

Charles Weigle wrote a beautiful hymn about our precious Saviour "No One Ever Cared For Me Like Jesus" The words in this hymn describe how wonderful our Saviour is to us.

"I would love to tell you what I think of Jesus, Since I found in Him a friend so strong and true. I would tell you how He changed my life completely; He did something no other friend could do.

No one ever cared for me like Jesus; There's no other friend so kind as He. No one else could take the sin and darkness from me; O how much He cared for me."

We know how much Jesus loves us because He proved it to us when He allowed them to crucify Him. How much do we love Him and what are we doing to prove to Him we love Him?

Ray Overholt wrote a hymn about our Saviour that always brings tears to my eyes to know how much Jesus loves us "Ten Thousand Angels".

"They bound the hands of Jesus In the garden where He prayed They led Him through the streets in shame They spat upon the Saviour so pure and free from sin They said, "Crucify Him He's to blame"

Upon His precious head They placed a crown of thorns They laughed and said, "Behold the King" They struck Him and they cursed Him And mocked His holy name All alone He suffered everything.

He could have called ten thousand angels To destroy the world (the world) and set Him free He could have called ten thousand angels But He died alone (alone) for you and me."

All of us need to answer this question. Am I going to go to Heaven and be with Jesus when I die? If you have never admitted you are a sinner, asked God to forgive your sins and invited Jesus into your heart, I urge you to do it while you are reading this devotion. Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for you.

WHAT A DAY OF HAPPINESS

"And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof."

Revelation 21:23
King James Version

Victor Murray Hatfield wrote one of my favorite hymns "THE PALACE OF LIGHT". I love these beautiful words in this heart touching inspiring hymn.

"When I’ve whispered farewell And forgotten my care, When I’ve sung my last carol And breathed my last prayer, I’ll be met by my Savior Awaiting me there, In my home in the Palace of Light."

I will never understand why people don't get excited when they talk about Jesus. If ever there was someone to be excited about, it is Jesus.

A girl got very excited because she received a valentine card from her boyfriend. All we have to do is open the Bible and read it and we will find love messages from our Saviour every day.

Are you shouting with happiness yet? Have you allowed it to go from head knowledge to heart knowledge that Jesus left His Father, His Home and all that He had to come to earth and die on the cross and pay the penalty for our sins? Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for you.

 HOW TRUE

"A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones."

Proverbs 17:22
King James Version

What a true statement this is because this verse describes how Jesus changed me from a life of despair and hopelessness to a life of joy and happiness.

The Heritage Singers sing one of my favorite hymns "Happiness is the Lord". I love the words in this inspiring hymn.

"Happiness is to know the Saviour, Living a life within His favour, Having a change in my behaviour, Happiness is the Lord.

Happiness is a new creation, Jesus and me in close relation, Having a part in His salvation, Happiness is the Lord.

Real joy is mine, No matter if the teardrops start, I've found a secret, It's Jesus in my heart."

I can honestly say that I never knew one day of happiness until August 14, 1980, the day I asked God to forgive me for my sins and invited Jesus into my heart to be my personal Saviour. There are not enough words to describe the happiness and joy I have had since I asked Jesus to be my Saviour.

We read in the Bible "Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy" Psalms 107:2.

Are you saying so? Does your family, your friends and all you meet know you are saved and love Jesus?

Jesus, i love You so much. Thank You for everything. One happy day I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face and I will be with You for all eternity. Are you going to be with Jesus for all eternity?

 HELP HEAVENLY FATHER

"Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee."

Psalms 73:24,25
King James Version

Anna W. Simmons wrote a beautiful hymn "HOLD THOU MY HAND". I love this hymn. It reminds us what a loving Heavenly Father we have.

Hold Thou my hand, O Father, Hold Thou my hand, I pray, When shadows fall about me And hide the beaten way, When clouds hang low and heavy, And storms of doubt assail, I blindly grope and falter, My strength of none avail.

I cannot tread unguided, The upward-leading road; I cannot bear unaided The burden of the load; I seek to journey onward, I think to bravely stand, But unaware, I stumble— O Father, hold my hand!

Hold Thou my hand securely, When sorrows dim my sight And hide from me the beauty And sweetness of the light; My heart will make no murmur, Whate’er might come, I know, If Thou will lead me, Father, Wherever I may go."

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your unconditional love You give us. I know there are times when I fail You and hurt You. I'm sorry. Please forgive me and help me to love others unconditionally as our Saviour has commanded us to love them. Help me to encourage others. Thank You for loving me and for Your help. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 IT BREAKS HIS HEART

"From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?"

James 4:1
King James Version

I was watching Judge Judy and all they were doing were yelling at each other and blaming each other. It is time that all of us, including me, admit that there are times when we say things and do things that hurt others.

Hopefully, we don't do it on purpose but there was only one perfect person who ever lived or ever will live and His Name is Jesus. Instead of yelling at one another, blaming one another and saying harsh and critical words to each other we need to be praying for and encouraging one another.

One day every one of us will stand before God and give an account of the things we did and the words we said. I don't know about you but I don't want to have to hang my head in shame becaause I said and did things that hurt other people.

It is very simple. If we really love Jesus, we will ask Him to help us keep our big mouths shut when we are tempted to say words that will hurt someone. We might think they deserve to be yelled at but what about us? None of us are perfect. If we want others to be kind and encouraging to us, we need to be kind and encouraging to them.

May God have mercy on us, forgive us and help us to be quiet when we ae tempted to say something that will hurt someone. Just because I write a daily devotion every day does not mean I never hurt people. I have to ask God to forgive me and help me keep my big mouth shut.
Let's make a special effort to do and say things that will make Jesus happy. Jesus shed His own blood for us on the cross. The least we can do is love one another unconditionally as He has commanded us to love each other. I love You, dear Jesus.

 OUR HOME OF HAPPINESS

"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."

John 14:1-3
King James Version

Edla Poyry wrote the beautiful hymn "MY BEAUTIFUL HOME IS IN HEAVEN ABOVE". I love the words in this hymn.

"My beautiful home is in Heaven above; I long its fair mansions to enter. This earth with its treasures has naught that I love, My treasure awaits me in Heaven. There all of my sorrows shall vanish for aye, My harassing cares shall no longer hold sway; My course I in faith shall have finished."

Jim Hill wrote the beautiful, heart touching and inspiring hymn "What A Day That Will Be". I love these words.

"There is coming a day, When no heart aches shall come, No more clouds in the sky, No more tears to dim the eye, All is peace forever more, On that happy golden shore, What a day, glorious day that will be.

What a day that will be, When my Jesus I shall see, And I look upon His face, The One who saved me by His grace; When He takes me by the hand, And leads me through the Promised Land, What a day, glorious day that will be."

Are you going to be there? Have you given your heart and life to Jesus? If not, do it even as you read this devotion. Don't miss out on spending eternity with Jesus. He loves you so much He died for you.

 OUR SAVIOUR PROMISED

"Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

Matthew 28:20
King James Version

Ludie D. Pickett wrote a beautiful hymn about our Saviour "NEVER ALONE".

"I’ve seen the lightning flashing, I’ve heard the thunder roll. I’ve felt sin’s breakers dashing, Which almost conquered my soul. I’ve heard the voice of my Savior, Bidding me still to fight on. He promised never to leave me, Never to leave me alone!

No, never alone, no never alone, He promised never to leave me, He’ll claim me for His own; No, never alone, no never alone. He promised never to leave me, Never to leave me alone."

Yes, our Saviour promised He would never leave us alone and He always keeps His promises. Do we keep our promises? If we told Him that we will serve Him, are we serving Him?

Jesus understands how it feels to be weary and get discouraged so He knows how we feel when we get tired. We read in the Bible that Jesus got tired and had to rest.

"Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour." John 4:6

Yes, our loving precious Saviour understands how we feel and He cares. When we are discouraged and sad and don't feel well, His heart is moved with compassion for us.

What a privilege is ours to be loved by the Saviour of the world. Thank You, dear Jesus, for loving us and for all that You do for us. I love you so much and look forward to the happy joyous day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.

 JESUS TO THE RESCUE

"And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid."

Matthew 14: 25-27
King James Version

Paul E. Kretzmann wrote a beautiful hymn about our Saviour's protection "WHEN UPON THE RAGING WATERS".

"When upon the raging waters, In the dark and stormy night, The disciples hard were toiling, Weary with the losing fight; When their hearts were filled with terror, And their fears would not be laid, Then the voice of Jesus cheered them: It is I, be not afraid!"

I have heard Jesus saying to me many times when I was afraid "Joanne, I am with you and will never leave you". What a healing balm it is to our weary battle scarred heart to know that Jesus is with us and will never leave us.

Ludie D. Pickett wrote a beautiful hymn about our Saviour "NEVER ALONE". I'm so glad to know that Jesus is always with us no matter where we are or what we are doiing.

"I’ve seen the lightning flashing, I've heard the thunder roll.

What a privilege it is, and it is a privilege to be saved and go to Heaven to live in the mansions Jesus has prepared for us when we die.

Have you made your reservation for Heaven? Do you know for sure you are going to Heaven when you die? If not, please give your heart to Jesus right now. Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He suffered and died for you.

 IT IS JESUS!

“But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid."

Matthew 14:27
King James Version

Paul E. Kretzmann wrote a beautiful hymn about Jesus "WHEN UPON THE RAGING WATERS". I love the words in this hymn.

"When upon the raging waters, In the dark and stormy night, The disciples hard were toiling, Weary with the losing fight; When their hearts were filled with terror, And their fears would not be laid, Then the voice of Jesus cheered them: It is I, be not afraid!"

I have a family I love and a wonderful Pastor who I respect and love and I have many wonderful friends but Jesus is my best Friend and one day I will have the privilege of seeing Him face to face when God calls me home to Heaven.

Carrie E. Breck wrote the beautiful and heart touching hymn "FACE TO FACE WITH CHRIST, MY SAVIOR" What a day of happiness and joy when we see Jesus face to face.

Don't miss out on spending eternity in Heaven with Jesus. If you have never given your heart and life to Jesus, I urge you to do it even as you read this devotion.

Jesus is waiting for you to come to Him with His heart filled with love and His arms open wide to receive you.

 ARE WE SINGING

"I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High."

Psalms 9:2
King James Version

Are we singing and praising God for all He has done for us? Do we tell Him every day how much we love Him and appreciate all He has done for us or do we complain most of the time?

I think there are times when we put God and Jesus on the shelf like we do a puppet and only take Them down when we need something or want something.

It is time that we do all we can do to make Them happy. God gave His beloved Son to die on the cross so we can be saved and go to Heaven when we die.

Jesus left His Father, His home and all that He had to come to earth to die on the cross and pay the price for our sins. What are we doing for Them?

Heavenly Father, please forgive us for the times we hurt You and break Your heart. Help us to love one another as Jesus has commanded us to love one another. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 OUR WONDERFUL SAVIOUR

"For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ."

2 Peter 1:11
King James Version

Fanny Crosby wrote one of my favorite hymns "He Hideth My Soul". I love the words in this beautiful hymn.

"A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord, a wonderful Savior to me. He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock, where rivers of pleasure I see.

He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock that shadows a dry, thirsty land. He hideth my life in the depths of his love, and covers me there with his hand, and covers me there with his hand."

This is another one of my favorite hymns "Isn’t He Wonderful?"

"Isn’t He Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful? Isn’t Jesus My Lord Wonderful? Eyes Have Seen, Ears Have Heard, What’s Recorded In God’s Word; Isn’t Jesus My Lord Wonderful?"

I don't think any of us realize how much Jesus loves us. He allowed them to beat Him beyond recognition, spit on Him, curse Him and pound His precious hands and feet to the cross because He loves us so much.

I have said this countless times and I will keep saying it until God calls me to Heaven. No one loves us like God and Jesus love us and nobody ever will. Their love is unconditional and unending.

Please join me in praising the "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS." I love You, dear Jesus and one happy joyous day I will see You face to face.

Are you ready to meet Jesus when He comes back for us? If not, I urge you to give your heart and life to Jesus before it is too late.

 WE CAN TRUST JESUS

"But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid."

Matthew 14:27
King James Version

Paul Edward Kretzmann wrote a beautiful hymn about our Saviour "WHEN UPON THE RAGING WATERS".

"When upon the raging waters, In the dark and stormy night, The disciples hard were toiling, Weary with the losing fight; When their hearts were filled with terror, And their fears would not be laid, Then the voice of Jesus cheered them: It is I, be not afraid!"

The precious voice of Jesus is so sweet. I heard His wonderful voice for the fist time as I lay under a bed in a mental hospital afraid of everyone and everything.

He said four words to me that I had never heard before. He said "Joanne, I love you". I can't explain the joy I felt when He said that to me.

No matter how many heartaches and trials you are going through, Jesus understands and He cares. When we cry, Jesus weeps with us and when we are happy, He rejoices with us.

I have said this many times and I will keep saying it until Jesus calls me home. "No one loves us like Jesus loves us and nobody ever will".

One day we will have the privilege of seeing Jesus when He comes back for us to take us home to Heaven. Are you going to go with Jesus when He comes back for us?

Have you given your heart to Jesus? If not, give your heart to Jesus even as you read this devotion. Don't miss out on spending eternity in Heaven with Jesus.

Don't let all the agony and pain Jesus suffered for you on the cross be in vain. Don't keep hurting Him. Give your heart to Him now!

ALL THE TIME

"It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep."

Psalms 127:2
King James Version

Our precious Saviour is with us all the time. The happiest time I had with Jesus was one night many years ago and I couldn't sleep so I talked to Jesus all night. Never have I felt closer to Him when He stayed with me through the long night.

Have you ever stayed awake all night and talked to Jesus? If not, you are missing a wonderful blessing and time. I had always had trouble sleeping but since that night when I had an alll night date with Jesus, I don't have any trouble sleeping.

If you are brokenhearted and have trouble sleeping, tell Jesus. He will sit beside you through the long lonely night and hold your hand as He comforts you and reassures you that He loves you and will never leave you.

Thank You, dear Jesus, for the many times You have held my hand as You whispered tenderly "I love you, Joanne". Do you know this precious Saviour? Have you allowed Him to hold your hand as He tenderly whispered "I love you"?

 DID YOU TELL HIM

"The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee."

Jeremiah 31:3
King James Version

Jesus tells us every day that He loves us. Do we tell Him every day that we love Him? Do we love Him? If so, what are we doing to prove to Him that we love Him? Jesus died on the cross for us. What are we doing for Him?

Jesus, You are so wonderful. Thank You for loving us amd for dying for us. What a healing balm it is to our weary battle scarred heart to know You will never leave us. I love You and look forward to spending eternity with You.

 FROM DARKNESS TO LIGHT

"He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see."

John 9:25
King James Version

Jimmy Swaggart wrote "He Washed My Eyes With Tears". I love these words. I'm so glad Jesus loves us so much.

"He washed my eyes with tears That I might see. The broken heart I had was good for me. He tore it all apart And looked inside. And found it full of fear, So much foolish pride

He swept away the things That made me blind. And then I saw the clouds
Were silver light. And now I understand 'Twas best for me. He washed my eyes with tears That I might see."

Many years ago when I was going through a crippling and devastating depression, Jesus came to me. He put His arms of love around me and told me He loves me and will protect me.

There are no words to describe how I felt that day knowing Jesus loves me. Not only does Jesus loves me, He loves you. What a Saviour! What a Friend! I love Jesus so much.

Joseph Medlicott Scriven wrote the beautiful heart touching hymn "WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS".

"What a friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry Everything to God in prayer! O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, All because we do not carry Everything to God in prayer."

Thank You dear Jesus for loving us and for never leaving us. I love You. Thank You, Heavenly Father, for my beloved Pastor. Please encourage and comfort him. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

 ARE WE WILLING

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."

John 15:13
King James Version

Jesus allowed them to crucify Him on the cross for us because He loves us so mcuh. We may never have to die for someone but we can lay down our own way and allow others to choose where we go eat or the things we do.

Are we willing to do that or do we insist on having our own way all the time? We don't always have to go eat at our favorite restaurant. We can ask our friends where they want to go eat.

Jesus, thank You for dying on the cross for us so we may live with You in Heaven when we die. Please help us to love othere as You love us. I love You so much and look forward to the happy and joyous day when I will have the privilege of seeing You face to face.

 TAKE TIME TO REST

"And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made."

Genesis 2:2
King James Version

If God took time to rest and set the example for us, then it must be important for us to rest so we will be able to serve Him better.

We not only need to rest, we also need to take time to be holy. William Dunn Longstaff wrote the hymn "TAKE TIME TO BE HOLY". We are always in such a hurry that we sometimes neglect to spend time with our Heavenly Father and with Jesus.

"Take time to be holy, Speak oft with thy Lord; Abide in Him always, And feed on His Word. Make friends of God’s children, Help those who are weak, Forgetting in nothing His blessing to seek.

Take time to be holy, The world rushes on; Spend much time in secret, With Jesus alone. By looking to Jesus, Like Him thou shalt be; Thy friends in thy conduct His likeness shall see."

How much time do you spend with Jesus? If we spend more time watching television, playing sports and other activities than we do with Jesus, we are hurting Him and breaking His heart.

After all that Jesus has done for us, He deserves to have first place in our heart, in our time, in our activities and in all we do. Does Jesus have first place in your heart and in your life?
