OUR HOME IS WAITING

"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."

John 14:1-3
King James Version

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day and the most important reason we have to be thankful and celebrate Thanksgiving with our loved ones is knowing that Jesus has prepared mansions for us and one happy joyous day we will have the privilege of being with our precious Saviour forever! Are you shouting with happiness yet?

I love my beloved sister so much and she has decorated my home with many beautiful things. God knew I would need extra help so He made us sisters. Even though we no longer live close like we used to do, she is in my heart and will always have a very special place in my heart. My sister decorated my home but only Jesus could decorate my heart.

I have been told how wonderful I am because I have written a devotion every day for over twenty years. I really appreciate all of the encouragement as all of us need to be encouraged.

However, keep your eyes on Jesus. Don't look to me, to your pastor or to your Sunday school teacher, look to Jesus. He will never fail you. He loves you so much He willingly walked that long lonely road to Calvary and allowed them to spit on Him, curse Him, mock Him and pound nails into His precious hands. He did all of that because He loves us so much.

I have said this many times and I will keep saying it until God calls me home. Nobody loves you like God and Jesus love you and nobody ever will. O how I love Jesus!

The Happy Goodman's sing one of my favorite hymns "Who Am I?" I am so thankful that Jesus loves me even when I sometimes hurt Him and fail Him.

"When I think of how He came so far from Glory, came and dwelt among the lowly such as I, To suffer shame and such disgrace on Mount Calvary take my place: then I ask myself the question, Who am I?"

If you have never asked God to forgive you for your sins and invited Jesus into your heart to be your Saviour, I urge you to do it even as you read this devotion. Don't miss out on spending eternity with the One Who loves you so much He died for you.
